Paul Wagner Big and Tall

One of the salesmen followed me around, sniffing at me like I was going to steal something.
Felt really uncomfortable. I was avoiding the holiday traffic at the mall to buy my husband a pair of pants.
I’m gonna put him on a diet because the places to get big butt jeans is limited!

I was in the store today when I heard the employees, one of which identified himself as the owner, while they chastised a young lady who was trying to return an item. Everyone in the store heard the entire thing and I was appalled at how she was spoken to. Her review below seems spot on, from what I overheard. The store owner told her that he didn’t care what the return policy states and she’s lucky to get anything at all. From an inventory standpoint, this place is average… I prefer Casual Male XL over this place. From a customer service and ownership perspective, yikes… you guys have a lot of work to do. I’ll happily buy elsewhere and will be passing the word on to others to do the same. Shape up… it’s Christmas.

I hate to do this, I really do, I want to support small & family owned businesses…
My boyfriend went in and bought two really nice button down collared shirts. They opened one up for him (there’s very tasteful plastic wrap on each individual shirt) and had him try it on. He purchased 3 shirts and spent about $ 200. Great deal. HOWEVER…
None of the shirts ended up working for the event that we bought them for. We didn’t rip any of the tags off, none of the shirts were worn, but one did not have the original plastic trash bag wrapped around it. I went to return two of the shirts alone, without my boyfriend, and was treated like the helpless, uneducated woman that I was sized up to be. Even though it was not stated on their posted return policy at the register, or on the receipt, they told me that they could not accept one of the shirts because the plastic wrap was not on it. Mind you, they took the plastic wrap off AT THE STORE when my boyfriend originally bought the shirt. I politely asked if we could find a compromise, but the men in the store talked down to me as though I was stupid, and only offered 50% of the purchase price back to me because, «look at it, would you buy a shirt like this?» I decided to leave and have my boyfriend try and return the shirt himself.
Look, here’s the deal, I understand that this is a business, but the shirt was worth $ 60. Was arguing with a customer out on the sales floor while other patrons were shopping really worth $ 60? Especially in December, evey retail store’s busiest and most profitable month! This store only gave us 50% of the cost of the shirt back, but gets to sell it twice at full price. This tells me so much more about the attitude of customer service of this establishment, and I just cannot support a shady, cheap business during this time of recession! Potential male shoppers of Paul Wagners in Roseville, please, in the name of respect for your mother, sisters, wife, and daughters, please do not support this establishment of big and tall misogyny.

What a great place to visit! I went in looking for clothing and found a staff that that understood what I needed as a big man. I found all the shirts, pants, a new belt, and undergarments. For all my plus size friends out there, check it out! You won’t be sorry!

Paul Wagner’s Big & Tall, is one of the oldest shops of it’s kind, in the Sacramento area, the «man’s man» clerk informed me. He is a gentleman who suggested the right size for my body type, with grace and ease. The gentleman clerk also, examined the clothing materials from which they were made, as to assure me they could be machine washed, and would not shrink. Shrinking clothes, is a bane for any shopper, as many know. He was so calm, professional, and competent, that the whole shopping experience was put to ease. I only regret not knowing his name, for now, but the place caters to men of my «stature «, and the selection and service was so pleasant I’m sure to return, and learn it in time. Besides the quick and kind conditions of my short but helpful shopping experience, the majority of items were on sale from 20−50% off. 4 stars, for the item selection and service, I would give the 5^th if the actual items on display were all to my taste of apparel. Paul Wagner’s Big & Tall, is the right place for the body type of men who fit that profile. Men, I highly recommend you make the journey to this place.

I’ve been shopping here for about 4 years, and it’s always a good experience, very helpful sales people, nice selection, decent prices. Love the fact that it’s NOT a huge chain store, keep the little guy in business!

I’ve been coming here for a few years now, they recently moved from one location in Roseville square to another in the same shopping center. My husband is tall and it is difficult to find clothing long enough to fit him. Their prices are reasonable and they sell high quality clothing. They offer a large selection of apparel but only the hoodies and flannels are his style :) The staff are always very nice and helpful, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were owner-​operated.
