Great authentic Mexican food. Chips and salsa are very good… salsa is spicer than most Mexican restaurants, but we like it that way. Service has been excellent every time. Taco salad with carnitas has been my favorite along with just the carnitas dish itself which my kids get and share because the portions are generous. My husband loves their carne asada. We always leave stuffed and satisfied.

Place looks decent and fairly clean. Waiters nothing to write home about. Paid 7 bucks on 3 taquitos today, a little pricey for a taco Tuesday. At least they tasted good. I might give them another try.

Stopped in for lunch. We ordered two salads that were delivered wrong. We had to get the table cleaner to take them back as Waitress was no where to be found. Second time order came out correct. Was just OK. Waitress left check and saiid nothing. Worse service We have ever had in a restaurant

We ordered burritos and both of ours were beyond SOGGY. More importantly, everything was insanely SALTY! SALTY, SALTY, SALTY! The side of soup that I had was also all SALT, SALT, SALT. I was looking forward to eating all day, but despite how hungry I was, after a bite or two of the items to taste, I couldn’t try any longer and threw it all away. You know, we had come here because we came several months back and it was fine eating in the restaurant. However, this more recent order(to-go) was downright bad. It is safe to say this is the WORSTMEXICANFOODWEHAVEEVERHAD. Sorry. More power to the fans out there who like this place, it just wasn’t for me.

First time here and wow, Ahhhmazing! We had carne Asada super burrito, beef chimichanga and flautas. Everything from the salsa to the cilantro salad dressing was so good. Service was stellar and the prices were more than fair. We will surely be back!

Had the molcajete with carnitas and it is my new favorite! It comes served steaming hot in a stone bowl and the cheese is all gooey and delicious. I have been an few times now and liked everything so far. The salsa is great if a bit on the spicy side. My daughter loves the steak quesadilla which they happily make adjustments to for her. The staff is very nice and seem very on top of things. The restaurant is very colorful and I like the ambiance. A great place to bring the kids too.

Super friendly staff on every visit. We’ve come during lunch and evenings on weekdays, and dinner on the weekends. Love the Molcajete Azteca. Hot steaming goodness. My son enjoys the chicken quesadilla and the staff are great with kids and it’s a good environment for toddlers. No stares when your kid stands in the booth and wants to know the color of every star light hanging from the ceiling. Great food and decent prices equal happy lady.

I swear, every time my boyfriend and I come here we always leave so full and content! On one of our first dates I decided to take him to Sabores(I used to go the original location before they moved). I must say, what an improvement! The prices are good and the portions are spectacular! Not only that the food is unreal, I’m a sucker for mexican food and this place nails it every time we go. This our spot when it comes to mexican food, always! P. S.: Try the the carne asada or pollo quesadilla dish its my favorite! If you love flautas, definitely get those because those are my boyfriend’s favorite!

Nothing too special. Just your average Mexican cuisine, but in a place like Roseville that is full of different food establishments, this place is not the first to come to mind. It also takes forever to get your to-go order. You might as well plan for a sit down dinner.

One of the most horrible places I’ve ever gone to we had a confusion on ordering food the owner Ingrid was always watching the table like a hawk I ended up leaving my glasses there and left came back and they would not give my glasses back $ 800 glasses I called the police police report they would still not give the glasses back to me even though they said that they have cameras but they cannot access them for some reason when I ask Ingrid she’s the owner she says no the police officer said that she was the owner these guys are thieves and liars please do not support their business !!! :(

I don’t know why there are bad reviews here. This place is pretty legit and decently authentic. The food portions are large and their non-tequila margaritas are more like wine coolers– they will definitely sneak up on you(thanks Über!). I actually didn’t know about this place– which made me sad. I try to learn about every single Mexican restaurant since I eat it about 14 times per week. I just ordered three tacos. One steak, one chicken and one carnitas. These are Mexican style. But the carnitas was some of the best I’ve ever hand. A bit on the tangy side but not unpleasant. Perhaps a bad description. But it was really, really good. Looking forward to my next trip in probably a week!

It was ok. I’m searching for Molcajete & this was good. The low stars? We ordered drinks & the lady took our order. Then someone came over & told us the order wasn’t taken as that lady doesn’t speak any English. Ok, we ordered again. 2 Mojitos, a beer & a Margarita. No Mojitos. Ok, make it a margarita. ITWASAWFUL!!! Why? Because they don’t have a full bar. Beer & wine only. Why didn’t anyone tell us? Being left in the dark about our order being taken by someone who doesn’t take orders, our drinks not being fulfilled because no one tells us & the food was ok. There are SOMANY other places to go, we’re not going back here.

Three stars for a meh experience, overall. We stopped by because there was a 10% off offer via the Unilocal app. The restaurant’s appearance is fine, with a huge cardboard cutout of a lady in a bikini for some reason.(Not that such an image is ‘bad’ but just a bit out of place.) The hostess sat us immediately and we were served warm chips with salsa. The salsa itself was hotter than average salsa at similar restaurants and when asked if they had a mild one, the hostess said it was the mild. OK. I do appreciate warm chips, so I was excited this might be a five star experience. The prices were adequate for what I thought the restaurant was about to offer. Since I always figured fajitas are a good indicator of what the food is like, I eagerly ordered the steak fajitas. With such an entrée, you’re offered a soup or salad and pinto, black or refried beans. I picked the salad with the house dressing and black beans. While we were waiting for our meals, I checked out Unilocal reviews and was annoyed when I saw reviews saying Sabores charged extra for tortillas if you wanted any. Now, never once in my life have I ever been charged for extra tortillas if you order fajitas. I can see if you need to buy them as a side dish if you order something like cheesecake or meatloaf but the tortilla is as necessary for the fajita as the stuff inside. Right? I might be wrong but don’t think so. When asked whether this was true, the waiter mumbled something about them being extra. OK, this is odd but we’ll live. Anyway, we get our food and it’s OK. Not great or good or bad or standout. Just there. The steak was very, very well done and soaking in a watery, soupy mix of meat and vegetables. The seasoning was a bit odd and it was just disappointing. My wife’s shrimp fajitas looked better but still not that memorable. The tortillas themselves were chewy and very thin. We ordered the flour tortillas(as opposed to corn) but they tasted like an flavorless, chewy, boring piece of meh. I really, really wanted to give this place five stars when we first walked in. We even debated whether to give it four or three. I’m going with three because I’m not a fan, although it’s possible I’ll go back and try another dish. If/when that occurs and that dish is better, then I’d likely bump up my review. Thanks!

At first the food the vibe the service was great. Third visit in a row of trying to ignore yet no ignoring this one Family dinners of the staff where you are no longer an important paying customer. Staff running around the restaurant and the. Into the parking lot while the place fills up with more ‘paying’ customers. They seem to think rolling their eyes when you ask for something they forgot and passed you by twice.

Great patio, service and food… there are mixed reviews about this place and I would say try it out for yourself. My wife and girls love to come here for there Taco Tuesday special and because I am never around during the day I never got a chance to try it out except for this past Tuesday… what a great deal with rice and beans included. The thing that I really like about this place is the family atmosphere and the family that works here. They are always so friendly and nice… in the Roseville area where we are starved for decent Mexican restaurants to have an actual margarita and I am not talking about ones that are made with wine or the kinds they pour out of a bottle pre-mixed. In a land run over by Chipotle, Free-Birds, Taco Bell and On the Border this is the place where I would rather be spending my money…

This is a gem of a Mexican restaurant in Roseville /Rocklin area. They have an excellent menu. It’s very extensive. It’s a casual corner location that the owners have decorated with some heart and soul. There are 4 large yes showing sports and a sit down bar. There is also outdoor patio dining. It’s very colorful and festive. Some creativity and space management was used in the presentation . It’s not a big place but has a comfortable feel to it, Booths and tables are available. I do believe they have take out too and catering. The menu has a decent sized Vegetarian section of traditional foods and the usual offering for meat, chicken and fish eaters. What makes it special is that everything is made fresh on the premises, Nothing pre-made at another kitchen or from a big box store. The meal was delicious. Prepared generously. My salads was fresh and and full of avocado. The cheese enchilada was more than I could finish. They serve beer, wine and cocktails too, It’s good for a casual lunch or dinner .good food good vibes. Oh. I just remembered. They give you a 10% off on your bill when you do a check in. Cool.

Our first time here on a friend’s recommendation. Big two thumbs up! We were greeted with a friendly face and shown to our table. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was great. We ordered the Molcajete Azteca. We’ve never had it before but the picture looked good so we decided to try it. It was delicious! I highly recommend it. My husband and I shared it because we aren’t big eaters. It was perfect! We are both full but not stuffed!

Amazing Experience! I came in with my expired Groupon, which was only worth what I paid for it, and they let me use it… Thank you! My waitress, Liztha(I think, I know I spelled that wrong, sorry!) was wonderful! She was sweet, pleasant, and was knowledgeable about the menu since I had never been here before. She let me know if something was going to be spicy when I was asking what I should get or how does this taste… So I ordered my combo plate… pick 2 and it would come with rice n beans. The dinner also came with a choice of soup or salad, and today’s special was a Mexican Meatball soup. DELICIOUS! For the pick two, I got a green sauce chicken enchilada with a chicken soft taco. The chicken was so juicy! In both the enchilada and taco! I’m only upset that I have not been here sooner and more often! See you guys soon!

This review is for the new location at 10271 Fairway Drive. I saw the negative reviews but decided to try this restaurant to see for myself… glad I did. My companion and I were greeted and seated quickly upon entering the restaurant. We were immediately brought warm tasty chips and a wonderful spicy salsa(a couple notches above on the heat scale from what most area restaurants serve). I had the #7 combo and my companion had the Santa Fe Salad. Great flavor for everything we tried! I liked the Ranchero sauce on my Chile Relleno and the shredded beef in my Taco De Res was also quite good. The seasoning of the chicken in the Santa Fe Salad was delicious. The creamy Cilantro dressing was also quite good. We also shared the Banana Chimi for dessert and it was sinfully good! What Satisfied: Nice casual atmosphere with tasteful music of Mexico playing in the background. Fast friendly service! What Disappointed: I try to include this in most of my reviews but honestly the only thing I can add here is perhaps that the dinner entrée arrived at the table about halfway through the salad service. Not a problem though because I would much rather have my food at the table than sitting under a heat lamp(and I don’t know if they even use those here). One Last Thing: I can’t speak for the experiences of those who came here right after the move to this location… but if you want a delicious Mexican meal in the Roseville/Rocklin area I suggest you give this place a try… I will certainly be back!
