Their service is friendly, and the work was done efficiently and beyond my satisfaction. I looked around the shop since the repairs I needed were done while-​u-​wait. The prices on their bikes, new and old, are far more affordable than many shops I’ve browsed at. Definitely making it my go-​to place for service and tune-​ups.

I brought my bike in for a tune up – spent $ 90 and, as far as I can figure, all they did was replace brake cables and put air in the tires. The chain was bone dry and I could barely shift gears. When I picked up the bike, they seemed confused and rushed and only had time to take my money. Maybe they fucked me because I’m a novice and it was a cheap bike? Fast forward 3 months, I bought a good bike, am riding every day, and will not be recommending or dropping any money at this place. They suck.

Friendly, flexible, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. All kinds of helpful as well. I used them in their old West Roxbury location and I highly recommend this shop.

Bought my son’s first bike from Busted Knuckle at their old location in JP. They were awesome about letting him ride around and try things out. We had a pretty tight budget and they showed us some new and used bikes we could afford without trying to up-​sell us, unlike another shop I had checked out before them. We got a great bike that has grown well with him and, IMO, my son’s bike is the coolest looking one on our street. :)

I am very new to biking and bought a cheap bike just to get started. I took my bike into this shop and asked them to check it out and see if it was safe to ride, at which point he condescendingly told me department store bikes aren’t safe, then gave me incorrect legal advice. They didn’t look at my bike or check it like I asked. Definitely never returning to this place, if they want to encourage biking they should be helpful no matter what level someone is at.
