Not sure if this place is under new management or they have taken their past Unilocal reviews seriously. But I am very happy I came.
Service was very good. Ribs were satisfying. Maybe just a little less smokey than I like and possibly a touch too tender… but well prepared high quality meat.
Prices reasonable for bbq. $ 15 for half slab and 2 sides.
Weird town. If the seats don’t have holes and your table isn’t wobbly you cannot get a decent Unilocal review. For some reason nice clean restaurants with good ambience get bad reviews around here. Maybe if management takes a power sander to their benches and tables and leave some more dirty dishes around people will feel like they are getting a value and offer better reviews.

Great place! I was a little hesitant about stopping here to eat on our way back to TX just based on reviews, but we were very pleasantly surprised! Great food, great portions, the waitress was awesome… was so nice to our party of 20+, almost half of those being children! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Came here on a trip from Sante Fe to Austin. The reviews were a little worrisome but it was right off the road and the outside smelled great. Like a normal BBQ place. The food is so so. Which is what was expected. They are not trying to be gourmet, so the food is in line with expectations and price. I had the brisket, my daughter had chicken quesidillas and the rest of family had different BBQ plates. Everyone was happy.
Maybe we came on on a good day. The service was quick and friendly. From the hostess who sat us to the person who took our order and the kitchen time to cook. All came out fast, hot and good.
This is a good BBQ place. Not great. But again, I don’t think they are selling themselves that way.
I was considering giving 4 stars to help raise the average, but not my job to try to overcome others low scores for for the Rib Crib. Overall, food is fine. Service is good. Fine place to grab a bite on your way through Rosell.

It was my first visit back in over a year to the Crib that serves ribs. We went for my father’s birthday and had a great experience. Our server, Jason, was great and very attentive. He made sure the large group we were in, were taken care of. Honestly, I was impressed. Usually with large groups, you get one or two orders wrong, with drink refills hard to come by. That wasn’t the case. The food was delicious, and the service was great. I’ll be going back.

Perfectly adequate for barbeque. It’s a nice setting and the service was very good. I had a salad with chicken and pulled pork which was great. My husband had the dry rib ribs and they were good, too. Not sure about the really bad reviews, but it was just fine for us.

Worst ribs I’ve ever had. They has so much fat on them it was disgusting to eat. I feel like if I had finished the slab I would have had a heart attack from my arteries clogging up. The fries tasted liked seafood. The staff was incredibly immature. My waiter «Dave» spoke some sort of Louisiana-​broken-​bayou form of English. I couldn’t understand a word of what he said. I sat for almost 10 minutes before he ever brought me water. No refill was offered on my beverage. And to top it off there were flies buzzing all around me and landing on my food while I was eating. This place deserves less than 1 star for the all around poor food and service.

Came here for lunch. I was able to be seated and have my order taken pretty quickly. The waitress was very friendly and came by a few times.
I decided to get one of the baked potato with brisket. My order came out to my table a little too fast, I appreciate the speed. But this seemed a little to fast to be a quality order.
First thing I noticed was the potato was literally swimming in a pool of liquid butter. I had enough butter for at least three or more of there potatoes. I decided against my better judgement to eat this meal. I noticed the entire meal was lukewarm, not hot enough to even melt real butter. The brisket was ok, but had no real BBQ brisket flavor.
This place does not even compete with a real BBQ business. The last thing the really irritated me was, I had to fight the flies for my food.
I do not suggest this restaurant or any of its other locations. Worst BBQ I have ever had comes from Rib Crib.

We ate here for lunch and were seated right away. The service was great. The spud was amazing with pulled pork. It was the biggest potato I’ve ever seen and the pork was juicy. The burger was cooked perfectly and the okra was delicious.
The bill was only $ 35 for 3 people, I was expecting the prices to be more for the quality and large portions of food we received. We will definitely return here if we’re in the area again.

Stopped in for lunch with my two sons. The one positive thing was our server, he was nice. However, the prices were ASTRONOMICAL and the servings were a joke, so small that literally it took two bites and they were gone. I think my son got 5 fries, none of us were filled… and the bill was more than 60 bucks… FOR LUNCH! Avoid!

Stopped by on our way to Bottlehouse Cabins in Alto, NM. Haven’t been here in 1 ½ — 2 years and it’s still something good to visit. Chicken Nachos as an appetizer was great. Had the Half Rack of Ribs with Smoked Sausage. I love their mustard BBQ sauce! The Ribs were delicious and the sausage is as it should be. I think the individual ribs are a bit dry, but they are still good. Just get the half rack regardless.
We use to eat there every Tuesday when working out of town. They have all you can eat ribs! Can’t go wrong with that. I don’t recall the price, but it’s a good bargain for sure.

This place was your typical barbeque joint. The turkey I ordered tasted like salty lunch meat turkey! They waiter was super rude and disappeared for 25 minutes after he cleared our plates and we were waiting for our check! Everything was super salty and their plastic cups probably contained BPA. When I asked to clarify a few menu items, the waiter got snippy. Won’t be back!

I really liked the décor, and it is clean and tidy, for the most part. The only let-​down in this area was that the condiment rack, one on each table, was stuck to the table surface.
The server was prompt, courteous, and friendly. The food was excellent. Especially liked the hot sauces. Wife had the St. Louis ribs and loved them. I had a double cheeseburger and really liked the seasoning on it.
Will definitely go back, next time we are in Roswell, NM.

My family and I always go to Rib Crib and the service and food is always consistent! We love it there. I always get the chicken and pork or the delicious chicken fried steak. Its very rare that they disappoint. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy great BBQ and a great atmosphere.

This would have been a 4 star review but the service wasn’t great. The food is great. My husband had the pigman and devoured it. I had Carolina pulled pork. I also loved mine. Our server was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the menu. But we eventually got up and refilled our own drinks because we sat for so long with empty glasses. Also at the end she didn’t clear any plates and it was annoying to sit with all of our plates in front of us while trying to sign the check and keep our baby from making a mess.

This is almost the best BBQ sauce I’ve ever had. I wanted to go back through town to get some to go. My daughters enjoyed it, too (even the picky one). Sadly, it was a bit dirty. The bathroom stalls and sinks were worse than some gas stations. Luckily, we didnt visit them until after we ate.

This place was average nothing spectacular. The food was average and the service was as well. We probably will not go there again. Bbq lacked flavor and just nothing special.

I have no idea why people are giving this place bad reviews. I think it’s great. I always get the dynamite chicken salad, and it’s a ton of food for a good price. Plus you get to keep the cup that your drink comes in! Definitely recommend this BBQ joint.

The BBQ sauce is fantastic… everything else leaves a bit to be desired.
I’ve been going to Rib Crib for years and in my opinion they have the best BBQ sauce I’ve ever tasted. Whenever we travel to Roswell or Clovis we look forward to getting some BBQ. The last two times we’ve gone to the Roswell Rib Crib the service has been terrible.
The most recent experience was me and the SO as the grandparents were watching the kids. We went in and were seated by a girl who would rather finish her conversation with the other employee at the front desk than seat us. Next we were seated in a section where the waiter had at least 5 tables that I was aware of. This honestly shouldn’t have been a problem as all 5 tables were in the same little area. He was very attentive to the table of 6 right next to us, he was similarly attentive to the two tables of 4 on either side of us. He ignored us almost the entire meal, I understand that we shared a plate, I understand we aren’t as big a party so focusing your attention on the big party to get a big tip is probably to be expected. Our table was in the middle of 3 of your other tables though and you asked every one of them multiple times if they were doing ok, if they needed anything. You totally skipped past us EVERY time. My gf is a server and leaving a tip of 30−40% is not abnormal for her.
You didn’t check on us once the entire meal, you waited 15 minutes from the time you took our drink order to the time you took our food order. You forgot to bring butter when we got two cobs of corn. You brought the check before asking us if we wanted desert and guess what… we wanted desert that’s why we split the meal. If you had been half as attentive to us as you were to every other table you had you probably would have gotten a $ 5 – 7 tip off a $ 20 ticket.
This is by far the worst service I have had in a restaurant in recent memory. The only reason I don’t rate it one star is because I really like the sauce. I think next time I’ll just buy several bottles of sauce and skip having dinner.

Not sure why all the negative reviews for this place. We ate there last night and it was completely satisfying on all fronts (except no cocktails). It’s not «spectacular oh my god the best ribs ever» or anything but it definitely qualifies as delicious and in general is, as the star rating suggests, A-​OK.
Service was prompt and friendly, food was plentiful and ribs were juicy and enjoyable, definitely get baby back not the St. Louis style. The baby backs were moist on the inside and had a wonderful crispy brown on the outside. The St. Louis style were thinner and drier, if that’s what you like, they were still good but not as good as the baby backs.
Sides were all fine, nothing exceptional (beans, slaw, toast, cowboy caviar) but all quite tasty in their own right.
On the negative side, the place is a little «Applebees-​ish «in style and décor and there’s no cocktails to be had. But everything was clean and nice and service was attentive and responsive. Because of the reviews on Unilocal we entered with a bit of concern, but left completely satisfied and thinking maybe they listened to the negative reviews on Unilocal because it was much better than their rating would suggest.
I wouldn’t call this a «destination» restaurant but I’d absolutely eat here again if I found myself back in Roswell.

After traveling for several hours from Texas to New Mexico, we were so hungry. We just wanted some BBQ and weren’t sure where to go. We saw the Rib Crib and thought we’d give it a shot.
It was just a typical chain restaurant vibe. The prices were okay but the quality was lacking. The meat was dry and felt like it was cooked a long time ago. The side salad felt like it came from a bag, it was not fresh.
Our server seemed like she hated working there and was not very personable. We would have been better off eating fast food as this rate.
