This is my first experience at this fine establishment. Everything was prefect. Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. Great presentation. Food that looks as amazing as it tastes. Our server Zinc(I hope I am spelling right.) was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive while being unintrusive. Her suggestion was perfect. We will absolutely be back.

If you want great Thai food in an atmosphere with ambiance, choose this restaurant. The owner and his wife are the chef/manager and their food is spectacular. We’ve been eating here for years. Ask for Nuy — she is one of the managers and is a sweet, attentive person!

I’ve been coming here for over 12 years. My favorite place to eat… period. I’m sure everything is exceptional, but my old faithful is Emerald Cashew Nut Chicken. Fifteen or so minutes calling in a to go order depending on time of day. I’ve considered this place when I think about where I’m moving to. This place is fantastic!

The peanut chicken was pretty good. Fried banana for desert. The people who worked there are friendly especially the older woman. I think she’s the owner. Only issue is she seemed to be the only server which slowed the service down some. I liked the plate presentation and the décor(really cool statues).

We had a party of 9 people for our daughter’s birthday at Thai Emerald not long ago. We have been coming to Thai Emerald for many years and we’ve never had a bad experience or meal. The service is always excellent and they have the best Thai food in town! I recommend you to go out to Thai Emerald if you’re ever in town and want to have a delicious Thai meal.

Our first visit was good: Pleasant service, good food, reasonable prices(4 of us ate, with drinks, for under $ 100). Not all the food descriptions are perfectly accurate — a liability when you are not familiar with Thai food, and thus the 4 stars, but I suppose the chef can make substitutions based on what’s fresh and available. Their one-pepper ‘hot’ is quite mild, so if you like a little spice, tell them and they’ll accommodate you. Our waiter also knew the menu well, and happily made changes to a dish upon request(unbreaded chicken please).

I used to eat at Thai Emerald at least once a month for years. The food wasn’t bad, but the servers were all somber. There was one server, a yeti-type woman named Lurch(In Thai, Lurch means never smiling). When she started working at Thai Emerald, I felt that it was time to try some different Thai places. Sometimes when Lurch was assigned to our table, I would fart when she was walking by to try and see a change of expression on her face. I went there for lunch today, and honestly, it was a one-star meal. The basil rolls had barely the thinnest portion of shrimp. At $ 4.50 for two small rolls they are really overpriced. I ordered Angel noodles with shrimp for my lunch and if I was a pre-schooler it would still not have filled me up. For $ 12.95 I was outraged! I have been eating at Thai House once-a-week and they have much tastier offerings and are super friendly. I heard that Lurch has made her way back to Thailand where she performs twice nightly at a comedy club.

This was my first visit and I won’t be back! The food was meh at best(too Americanized) the service was awful, I kept getting the«hurry up and get out«looks from the staff. They were very indifferent to my dining experience, cold, and inattentive! Not a good first impression for a first time guest. I don’t see how they have a 4 star rating… it must be the area?! Or maybe it’s me, when I go to spend my hard earned dollars at a restaurant, I like good service and good food.

Whoever made my Prik Pao Shrimp tonight made it with love. The beautiful marriage of flavors in this dish were absolutely divine.

Excellent quality fish and selection. The best version of pineapple fried rice I’ve ever had. Order the«the emerald special» and it comes with the chicken and cashews on top.(sometimes off menu, but they always serve it) The whole snapper is a must and the spring rolls are killer

Fabulous service, fabulous ambience and most importantly fabulous food! I had the green curry scallops and shrimp and the sampler as an appetizer. Wonderful experience and I’m picky.

My fiancé is not nearly as adventurous with food as I am, but I can occasionally drag him to a spot if the mood suits. I was introduced to this restaurant by a friend, and found their food authentic and delicious – I’m especially a fan of their hot-pots for soup, which may also appeal to their inner pyromaniac in me(«ooh look, fire!») I’ve been known to dine in or stop by to get take-out… I swear their Tom Yum Kha has healing powers when you’re under the weather. This latest visit, my fiancé decided to get their Penang Salmon, and loved it! Believe me, he’s a hard sell! I was thrilled, and now know I might be able to convince him to join me for Thai more often, at Thai Emerald. …My mouth’s watering just thinking of their Green Curry.

I loved the authentic Thai green curry that was flavored hot and spicy. The restaurant atmosphere is warm and inviting. The dishes arrived very quickly. Can’t wait until I go back!

Not all restaurants aspire to be innovative or ‘OMG-delicious.’ Sometimes A-OK is good enough. Thai Emerald is certainly good, they clearly have clientele; the restaurant is nicely decorated and service is quick and pleasant. Our meal was typical Thai — though to be fair, we didn’t order enough to make a true assessment of the chef’s capabilities. T and I started with basil rolls. Thick and tasty dipping sauce, typical rolls, nothing that I haven’t had before. We shared a hot pot of ‘seafood combination’ soup, which sounded better than it tasted — though, when I filled my bowl a second time, the lemongrass broth grew on me and tasted better than the first go ’round.(The seafood was nondescript.) Ground chicken larb was good, albeit dry. It didn’t stand up to the larb we had in Hawaii.(I didn’t understand the purpose of the block of cabbage on the plate; one couldn’t tear off the leaves.) On the other hand, our friends raved about their meals. Pad thai with tofu was declared«excellent» as was the red curry.

Living around the corner this has been our go to Thai place for the last 10+ years. The food is delicious though the service can be spotty. Most of the time we get to go as it’s a small place and gets crowded on weekends. But lately we’ve noticed a change: the food is still tasty but the prices keep going up and the quantity down. Yesterday I paid $ 17 for Pad Thai with 5 pieces of shrimp in it. $ 17??? And something like $ 15 for basil tilapia that was 90% onions. Not going back again. There are other choices around now.

I’ve had both good and just decent experiences here at Thai Emerald. I have eaten there about 10 times and I think I’ve got the average experience down. Eating In — food is fresh, service is slow. Takes longer than your average work lunch break to get in and out and on with your day. Take Out — food can be hit or miss. I’ve picked up cold food before and Ive picked up chicken that tasted almost fishy like the oil was reused. Most times its ok. Pick up is fast. If you like your food spicy youll want to get a container of chilli powder on the side. They keep this on the table for diners but when you get to go, it can be depressing if you dont realize your thai hot dish is actually mild until you are back at your desk.
