I have been here a couple of times to get a new prescription and this TSO has been a great place to get my glasses and frames. I know some of these frames can be expensive but after living in other cities and visiting different optical centers in those cities… it seems this is the market price for frames… unless I want cheap frames, then I go to Wal-Mart. Nothing against Wal-Mart, but they just never have the frames I am looking for. TSO had my glasses ready in a timely manner and they fit perfect! :) Luckily I have great insurance so my insurance covered most of the cost. The person who assisted me was very helpful and even gave me suggestions on other prices; she even recommended several good Lasik doctors, because I had asked. :) Based on my experience, the staff and what they offer met or exceeded my expectations. I am happy with TSO and will continue to go there. So I personally have had some great experiences here at TSO… hope you do as well. Thanks for listening…

TSO, I tried to give you a chance bc you are so close to home, but getting my prescription wrong was one thing. Not handling your billing matters properly and most importantly, not owning up to your mistakes are deal breakers for me! I was so excited to try on my new glasses! When I did, something was way off. The staff gives me attitude when I say the prescription maybe be off. I felt bad bringing it up, but I’ve worn glasses for 15 years. I knew something was off. They get short with me and say they cant fit me in today, I have to schedule another appointment. So I take time off work and come back. The doc performs another vision exam, lo and behold prescription IS way off. Doc attributes it to having«tired» eyes during the first exam. Hmm? Tired? It was 9am. Reordered my glasses and contacts, I go to pick them up and glasses are sliding off my nose, need to be adjusted. Again with the attitidue, the girl says I would have to come back in a few hours to get them adjusted bc they were really busy. There were two other people in waiting room. I begin to wonder if I’m I asking for too much? Am I being unrealistic in expecting them to do their job? I had enough. I dont go back bc I dont think I can sanely walk through those doors again. Sooo Im rocking some floppy glasses until my head is killing me. I went to my old faithful eye doc(why did i ever leave you??) and THEY adjusted my glasses on the spot. So lessons learned, Optical here is NO good, Doc is not much better, and billing? haha! I got a bill a YEAR after seeing them about an outstanding balance. I had dual coverage at that time, so when I called to ask what the balance was for they couldn’t tell me! The woman simply said, «well the staff that previously worked here had a mess and weren’t doing things right.» Oh gee, ya don’t say? I asked her to re-file with insurance, she said they couldn’t. I should have called my insurance, but to be honest I just wanted to sever all ties with this place, so I paid it. Never to return again. Im back with old faithful!

I’ve been a patient for about three years. Can’t say I’ve had an «oh wow!» experience, but then again, I don’t expect that from doctors. They can usually get me in quickly, the staff is efficient and friendly and I like Dr. Garcia. I have no reason to look for another optometrist and I’d recommend him for anyone in the Round Rock/Pflugerville area.
