«WARNING» DONOTBUYFROMTHISSTORE! They are queens of scammers. My bf and I went here last night, because I wanted some Chinese snacks. Came here around 9:50ish, just before they were closing. Bought 3 bags of snacks(we asked for around .25 lbs for each). The total came out to be $ 31.30…like seriously?!? But I didn’t question it since i knew these snacks are expensive(plus I didn’t look at the scale). When we left, my BF told me that they weighted each one as .50 lbs. So I went home and weighted each bag… my life is ruined. crushed lol they scammed us hard. each bag was like around .22 lbs. now you guys do the math. One bag is jerky($ 25 per lb), a bag of mango(around $ 9 per lb) and a bag of salty dried plums($ 19 or $ 20 per lbs). How on earth did It came out to be $ 31.30? Scam scam scam to the max!!! Don’t get scam like us. Please don’t. Going to call them… just going to scream and yell at them like a true Asian lady –____–

Chinese speaking skills are a definite plus here. Friendly Service. Tiny shop at the end of Diamond Plaza. Ample parking. Bit pricey. $ 10 minimum for credit cards. My attempt at food suggestions: + small slightly sweet dried mushroom(like i said, Chinese speaking skills are a plus) + sweet jelly green/black tea drink

The worse services ever. They have website to sell produced and I purchased 2 different kind of beef jerkies. After a week, I did not receive my order, I call the company and they let me contacted to the USPS, which is should be their job, to know what happened with my packet(HELLO you guys want your business good? Then you guys must know«The customers are your boss that is not your manager ok). Then It been a month from the day I placed the order, I’ve been calling them many times to see how they are going to solve the problem. First time, the guy I talked to instead the manager who is the only one in charged, her name is Nancy, that they are working on my situation. Then the next times I called the manager and the other girl always said she was not here then when I asked about my case, It seems they have not do anything on that bc I have to tell them again and again and again my situation. Holly molly gosh, What kind of this company? $ 47 maybe is not big deal ok, I may don’t need this money but the one I need is that your effort in how satisfy your customer which is the way help your company’ s reputation improves. Or else I will tell my friend should not trust this company. Plus the guy I talked the second time was yelling at me bc I complained their services, wth. Plus I have been using online services from many American Companies and have never ever had any troubles from them like this company. You guys should consider when buying anything from them.

What I absolutely detest about this place is the pushiness/marketing tactics. The employees/sales person was pushing me to sample their products, even though I was just browsing, and I told them I was just browsing(but she had to because her manager was hovering above her a.) After reluctantly trying 3 small pieces and was not impressed the manager quickly ran over and said in Taiwanese«Don’t let her sample anymore, she doesn’t seem like the type to buy. She just want to try them all. Blah blah blah.» WTF(little does she know, I actually speak Taiwanese). The beef and pork jerky are decent. ~$ 21/lb. A tad too sweet for me though. The spicy is definitely way too spicy. I ended up buying some just I felt bad for the really nice sales person. Or maybe that’s just their marketing tactics. And it is not just this location, they are like that in all of the locations I have visited. CONS: 1. VERY pushy sales and terrible managers 2. Pricey $ 21/lb 3. A tad too sweet = lots of sugar = more weight/heavier product = more profit = $$$$$ 4. Pushy sales force you to sample, but will only give you a tiny piece so that it will get suck in between your teeth! PROS: 1. They’re soft 2. Not overly salty like American jerky.

Have you guys ever tried the HYPED alien jerky in Bakers? The one with a bunch of advertisements on the way to Las Vegas and back? If you guys think their jerky is good, wait until you guys try this place. Their Pork Jerky was so tender and their spicy beef jerky was perfect, well only if you like spicy stuff. They have about 8 different kinds of jerky. I have yet to try them all. They also have a bunch of other Asian snacks such as dried plums, spicy dried mangoes and a large variety of candy. Unfortunately, their store is all the way at the back of their store so if you ever want to try this place out, make sure you drive all the way to the back of the plaza. And do not believe the price rating. It is not $$$$… Price depends on what you get. You can walk out of there only paying $ 1 to $ 500.

I LOVE their spicy fruit favored beef jerky!(around $ 20/lb) yes its expensive, but its worth it and i don’t eat jerky everyday so its not that bad nice staff, they let you sample anything you want in the store, but they do up-sell and sometimes i feel bad sampling without buying.(not all of their stuff are as good as their beef jerky! and you need to be firm and say no, or else they’ll start bagging) they are pretty sneaky too. whenever i asked for HALF of a lb, they always put just that much more to make it more than half a lb and ask if its okay. oh c’mon! HALF of a lb doesn’t not equal to ALMOST a lb!

Must-haves: Beef Jerky, Dried Jack Fruit, Dried Mushrooms Skip: Regular Candy Feeling adventurous? Looking for unique snacks? Come to Vua Kho Bo. Yeah this place is expensive, but the things you can get here are very unique and decently healthy. Their jerky is top-notch and puts other jerky places like Alien Jerky to shame. The employees are VERY nice and let you sample pretty much everything. Food: C | Service: B | Selection: C+ | Experience: B | Overall: C

Seemed like a nice little shop, but when I purchased several snacks they doubled the all the amounts I asked for and then quickly sealed the bags before they even weighed it. I ended up spending double the amount for everything that was overpriced to begin with. If you don’t watch out, they will rip you off every chance they get. I really didn’t like their sneaky business practices and won’t be going back no matter how good their snacks are.

My friend had asked me to pick up some beef jerky for him and I oblige. I asked them for 1 lbs of each of the two types of jerkey he wanted. He already warned me that they will attemp to overfill the 1 lb mark, so anticipate it. Sure enough they went over by ¼ lb on each bag! Before I can say anything, the bag and deal was«sealed», so I had to pay. If you ever want any product from this place, order way under your desire target. Say you want 1 lbs, say ½ lb and most likely you will come closer to your target!

«BBBBBBBBBBUUUUUUURRRRRRRPPPPPPPPP!!!» Right in our face and out of the mouth of the Old Chinese Woman carefully guarding her bins of dried goods. «Dis one healthy. BBBBBBBAAAAARRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPP!» No shame. I thought I had seen it all until I found myself buying treats out of a barrel from the Baroness of Burp. I think that they should consider stocking one of their barrels with Gas-X for the employees to possibly avoid these sort of encounters with paying customers. «BBBBUUUUURRRRPPPPP…what else you like?» So my friend needs to replace a bag of spicy beef jerky he scarfed down behind his dad’s back at 2:00 A.M. the night before after a night of blazin’ and binging. He begins his venture into the world of «Burp Stink» as I have coined it as we secretly laugh to ourselves in disgust — while the Old Broad couldn’t give two shits about her obvious disregard for basic manners. «I’ll take $ 9.00 worth of the spicy jerky(no burp – see – it’s called civility lady)» «BBBBBBBBBUUUUUUURRRRRRRPPPPP. OK. That $ 13.00 – I fill the bag a little more – but that OK right?» I would have walked out(apparently this«woman» has no regard for manners – or honoring customer requests) – but my friend just wanted to get his jerky and leave… so he coughed(not burped) up the extra robbery fund to get his goods and get out of this little gas trap. So. In summary. If you ever feel the urge to travel deep into the bowels of an Old Chinese Woman and feel the rumble left over from this elusive beasts’ undigested dinner – come here. If you really want a specific weight or price of dry goods – and prefer to shop without somebody crawling up your ass as you shop around – possibly visit another establishment you have been before. AND if you insist on trekking around this joint – bring a surgical mask – HEY…now I know why so many of the older Chinese around here wear them – and all this time I thought it was to prevent the spread of airborne illness… SILLYME. (*bbuuuurrrrppppppp**)

I had some cravings for Pork jerky so I came here. $ 19.00 a lb for these suckers. So I told the lady, I’ll take ½ lb only. You would think it’s $ 9.50 right? You know, divide by 2? I asked and the lady only smiled and told me $ 10. WTF? Well, quality wise, these jerky did taste pretty fresh although the fat content seems to be more fat than meat. So it tasted more like a pork belly jerky. BTW, these are the«wet» kind of jerky. They vacuum pack your bag of jerky so it takes a minute before you get it.(I just looked at the packaging from the pic and their package is from new jerky mfg!) Why does something tells me that they just buy from them and resell?

I have to agree that their beef jerky is good. They are locally made and it tastes great! Support local community! Also, all their other sundries and dried goods are good too. They let you taste whichever jar you choose and the customer service was great! The lady even threw in a free plum drink after we bought some stuff. The gesture was real nice. The drink doesn’t cost them that much, but for them to offer it, it made us feel like we were VIP.
