Longford’s Ice Cream

Ice cream is great. Place is small but you can sit inside or outside. Alittle expensive though. Would go again if I was in the area

Overpriced? Probably. But clearly better than others commercially available in the area. Everyone seems to have its favorite here, and mine is lemon sorbet. Mint chocolate and Tahitian Vanilla are so-​so. They are too plain and lack flavor.

Stumbled upon this place while doing business in rye for the day and boy was I happy I found this place. They are celebrating 20 years in business. The ice cream shop has that old school intimate feel to it which is great. The ice cream itself is delicious, it is creamy and smooth and flavorful. I tried the Cookie Monster, which is vanilla ice cream with pieces of chocolate chip cookies inside. By the way even thou it was vanilla ice cream it was blue in color which gave it the cool factor. If I’m ever in this area again I will give it another visit.

got a small caramel with sea salt. literally the best ice cream I’ve ever had. creamy and delicious. definitely a great place to go to on a hot summer day. employees are also very friendly and helpful

Nothing special. Very high prices. 2 kiddies icecream cones cost 8 $. Way overpriced.

Thank goodness we skipped Carvel for this. Carvel has gone downhill quickly (at least by me in Charlotte), so we figured a change was in order. After having dinner at Tarry Lodge in Port Chester, we made the quick 10 minute trip to Rye to have Longford’s. The line was out the door on a warm, Sunday night, which was a great sign.
I got a scoop of something with caramel I think (it’s been a few weeks so I can’t remember exactly what it was called) with hot fudge. Then the girl that was serving me did something I have not had done for me in years. She put the sundae in a bigger cup so it didn’t spill all over. Usually I have to ask for a bigger cup, but she was smart and went ahead and did it. Great service. That’s knowing the product and the customer. Way to go!
The ice cream was delicious. Creamy, rich, smooth, and cold. The hot fudge was awesome as well. We walked around Rye while eating it and it was just really nice. The ice cream hit the spot.
Why no 5 stars then? There was nothing that was super amazing – the whipped cream was from a can, the ice cream is full of fake things, and there isn’t an incredible view or something. Don’t get me wrong, Longford’s is delicious and I would absolutely come back if I was in the area.

Delicious flavors, friendly staff and a cute lil storefront design. Not necessarily somewhere you’d go to sit and dine, but that’s alright if what you’re coming for is a tasty treat.

Chocolate Caramel Crackle… wow…just wow.

The black chocolate caramel shake was alright, and the staff were friendly enough, but I can see why the other locations have closed. Nothing spectacular and some eh prices, but they can be sustained in this area.

I finally found my favorite ice cream shop. Delicious homemade creamy dream. No air (whipped) or other fillers. Both their mudpie and coconut mounds are amazing.

Best iced cream in Westchester. Great birthday cakes and made to order cakes. They sell candles and candy too!

I am in love with their homemade ice creams! Everything I’ve tried so far has not disappointed me in the least bit! They have a great selection to choose from and also offer sorbet. Certain flavors can be purchased in a pre-​packaged container found in the freezer. I can’t wait for the seasonal flavors! Friendly service and amazing ice cream! I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the flavors!

Love their ice cream. Their soft serve is richer than most soft serve — and that is a good thing! Get a pint or quart of hand packed ice cream to go; you can’t go wrong. You can even mix flavors. I highly recommend!

These guys get it right! And think a ice cream parlor with a dedicated nut-​free freezer. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

The best ice cream. I can’t wait for the pumpkin flavor to come back. Who knew you could enjoy ice cream in October?!
It might be a little pricey, but it’s homemade and delicious and worth every bite.

What a joke people. Come on, you guys must not get out often to think this is worth five stars. Two stars for the location, servers and decent ice cream. The exorbitant cash you pay for two cones is Rye being Rye. That’s all.
