This place is just great. The fish tacos are so tasty. They a street style tacos, not giant monster tacos that are tasteless. A portion sized taco with flavorful ingredients. Eat here, just do it!

This place has really good quesadillas. I am pretty plain and simple when it comes to food because I don’t eat much vegetables so choosing certain dishes can be quite challenging for me. But there are some good options on the menu for me to select from here. I can see why this place has good reviews. Chando’s has good portion sizes and tastes authentic. Definitely a place I would come back to for its quality.

It’s… okay. The big thing that brought me to Chandos in the first place is their lettuce wrapped tacos. I like that they give that option. But their tacos are sooooooo small. The taste is okay, but I wouldn’t call it a good value. The –other– places give you all the chips and salsa you want. Well not all of them but their closest competitor does. Here you spend a buck(or is it a buck fifty? I forgot) and you get a tiny sack and some salsa. Burritos are again, okay, but not knock your socks off. I mean don’t get me wrong, I’ll take this place any day of the week over Taco Bell, but aside from its rustic ambiance, it isn’t really any better than other similar large chain Mexican fast food restaurants.

Love this place for their authentic Mexican food. All the ingredients(basil, onion, freshly grilled chicken) in my burrito are so fresh and tasty. Being a white girl I choose this over Chipotle or the Taqueria I used to go to any day. The food here tastes as if your mom made amazing Mexican food at home and put a few secret ingredients in your burrito to just get you craving it from time to time to come back and visit her. The chicken burrito is so good! The tortilla used to wrap the glorious chicken, tomatoes, basil, guac, cheese, and all other delicious ingredients is flaky and yet very soft. This place reminds me of the amazing family owned Mexican joints you can find in San Diego or South Cal. My husband is very particular about tortillas when it comes to Mexican cuisine and discovering this hidden gem it’s now our go to for Mexican. Even in rain you will see a short little man run outside to grill the meat. My hubby and I have been here countless times. I guess if I had to count at least 15 times in the past 8 months. I mean this is THE place for my Mexican food fix. There should be parking but you can expect a lot of traffic and a long line during the lunch hour(sees as there’s a lot of shops, yards, and other businesses around). So our trick is to call ahead and place an order for pick up. This place is always clean and I can’t wait to bring friends here whenever I hear anyone say they want Mexican! For being a very simple Mexican café I’d say give this place a try!

Tacos were great. Sucks they only got one drink size but for the price the food is great. Had adobada tacos. Very spacious dining room. The TV was too loud. It would of been nice to have it turn down.

My Dad brought me to Chando’s Tacos my first day back in town visiting. We came at lunch time and the place wasn’t too busy(my Dad said it’s usually packed). I ordered a chicken burrito with everything in it and we got a side order of guacamole to share. The burrito was big and stuffed full of juicy chicken and fresh ingredients. It was delicious! My biggest issue was the guacamole — I don’t like creamy, blended guacamole. But that’s how they serve their guacamole here. It’s almost liquid. It has a good taste but isn’t the right texture to eat with chips. Better guacamole and it would have been a home run kind of place. Good prices and lots of parking. Fast service too.

I don’t see why this place has such a good reputation. The customer service was repeatedly horrible. They messed up my order. And the food really wasn’t worth that. Our experience: My husband ordered online, saw they had horchata and added it to our order. The girl took his money, gave him change, walked away… and immediately forgot his order. Then he brought our food home. We ordered a carne asada burrito without onion or cilantro, and two tacos. The burrito had onions and cilantro. I called to let them know of the mistake so they could make a new one while he drove over, her response was«okay» without any apology. They didn’t remake the burrito until he drove all the way there again, and never once apologized. Overall the horchata was NOT good, the asada had a lot of fat on it, the adobada wasn’t as good as everyone says, and the customer service really bothered me. I don’t expect Disney friendliness but don’t be rude when YOU mess up… and they were repeatedly rude. I’ve never been to a Mexican place that doesn’t send chips(or even napkins!) with you. I wanted to like it, it’s fairly close to my house, but I won’t be going back. There are much better options.

This place I’ve neglected for years and up until recently noticed they grill all their meat outside. The smell is so enticing especially when I find myself across the street at La Bou or McDonalds on darker days. I’ve tried carnitas burritos here and they were okay. Their specialty is definitely the asada. I think about that burrito a lot. It’s always juicy and marinated beautifully and I like that I always tell them no sour cream and they never add it. I wish they didn’t charge for chips and pico de gallo but considering other faux mexican restaurants do it, who am I to ask for free chips??? Plus the salsa seems unlimited. Their Horchata and Jamaica water are delish, not too sweet or overpowering red taste. I enjoy coming here!

Great Tacos, these people are my people. I come here during my Taco Crazes’ sometimes 2x’s a week. I’ll experience this manic episode and alls’ I can think of is Tacos from this spot. small tacos but well proportioned with the right flavored meat, sauces and a side of pickled carrots and fresh red radishes. this place has my Mexican pallet blessing. in fact, I think I’ll headed here again tonight for some tacos de asada con todo! –Fig-licious

If you want a food-gasm come to Chandos! I got the carnitas quesidilla and asada tacos OMG so freaggin’ bomb! My fav is the quesidilla and I can’t even, you just have to try it. This place wins over Chipotle any day lol. There was a line when we arrived, but I think because customers have no idea what they want. My advice to Chandos is to have 2 lines; one for those who know what they want and another for those who like to question everything on the menu. Overall, clean place with efficient service and bomb food.

Finally went over for the first time to the Chando’s storefront on my lunch break today. I’ve had their butter lettuce tacos before at a SactoMofo event and they were delicious! This time around, the experience was a bit more meh… I decided to order a burrito with carne asada. I called in the order as I was walking to my car, drove down the block, waited in line to pay and my food was ready! I was back to work within 15 minutes. The cashier was super friendly and calm and collected despite the growing line behind me. My burrito and horchata came out to about $ 7 – 8, completely reasonable! The burrito had all of the usual dressings– guac, cheese, sour cream, salsa, lettuce. They even have salsas, onions, radish and cilantro next to the register so you can grab what you like. I think next time I’ll have to go with their signature tacos so I can bump up my review to a 4 or 5!

I’m a big fan of Chando’s whether it be from their taco truck or their actual restaurant. Usually when I’m in taco mode I go for asada… pastor…anything but chicken UNLESS I’m at Chando’s. The asada is delicious here but for some reason the chicken tacos are the bomb here.

Hands down my #1 favorite taco place in the City of Trees! Where have I been? I’ve been missing out corrals lol. I really LOVE their tacos. The tacos here are really tender, flavorful, non-chewy, and definitely JUICY. Not only this. But I also love how their meats aren’t super minced but it’s proportionally cut for tacos. I got three tacos – carnitas, asada, & chicken. My favorite was the chicken, second was the asada, and lastly the carnitas. I wasn’t a super big fan of the carnitas because for some reason. this might sound weird or funny but I thought the carnitas tasted like fried chicken haha. Overall my taco experience here was GREAAAAT! If you’re a taco lover like myself then I suggest you check this place out if you haven’t yet. Looking forward to coming back here to try the other types of meat… maybe I’ll try their lengua if I’m feeling adventurous. Yay to cheap good eatz !

After sampling their tacos at the Arden location, the BF and I were happily dreaming of Chando’s tacos and needed to get some ASAP. The Power Inn location was the closest to us so off we went. We arrived at 7 and were expecting a Friday dinner rush, but was pleasantly surprised that the line was short and there was plenty of seating. We got right down to business and ordered potato and ensenada tacos and birria mulita. I LOVE birria and very few places offer it so I’m very happy that Chando’s does. Their birria is very savory and flavorful. My only wish is that Chando’s would offer rice because it would be perfect with the birria. The potato and fish tacos were fantastic and hit the craving we both had. Needless to say, we were happy campers and will come back soon and often!

Holy mother of tacos I loved this place! A lot of the times people think that Mexican places don’t work for vegetarians especially an all taco place, but they even have a mini vegetarian menu which I think is super nice of them! I had the potato taco combo with the Jamaica water. The tacos were AMAZING, toppings are shredded cabbage, sour cream and red spicy salsa(you can ask to omit any of them) …I added green salsa too because I’m Mexican and that’s just what we do sometimes haha but it was very filling and I’m pretty sure that will be my taco spot from now on! The bathroom was pretty clean also, and the tables were small but everything was spread out pretty spaciously among the restaurant.

After the famous Arden location opened, there’s an another Chando’s Tacos located at Power Inn and Fruitridge Roads which it’s closer to my house! As I entered, the atmosphere is quite average. You can here Spanish music blaring clearly as well as the employees which they are trying to prepare customer’s orders without the rush. I ordered the 3 small tacos with a drink combo. I started with the carnitas with all the ingredients(ie. guacamole, salsa, slice of lime, etc.) When I have my first bite, the carnitas tacos tasted not bad! It has much flavor including their homemade salsa too. The wait time is alright depending how many orders you’ve requested for. It can take between 3 – 5 minutes to arrive, and so far, no issues at all including the service too. Since I came to this second Chando’s Tacos, I’ll probably come back to the original Chando’s at the Arden neighborhood for the taste comparison. Otherwise, Chando’s Tacos at Power Inn is a great place to get your Mexican foods a huge fiesta! My rate: 3 ½ stars.

I love this place! I usually order the mulitas and the tortas! I love how they have two different sizes for the tortas, the mini and the regular size. The food is delicious, but you have to be ready to get messy in a good way. The salsa roja is really good because it is combination of spicy, sour, and smokey. It’s tasty and you should try the sauce! Come and try this place! You won’t be disappointed. This place opens 10:00AM and closes at 9:00PM.
