I’m not usually one to write bad reviews, but I did not get what I asked for. I pulled my hair across my forehead to illustrate what I was looking for and I walked away with bangs so short it’s four months later and they are just now where I want them.
I didn’t feel really listened to, she corrected me and glossed over my requests. I felt bullied… that is all. It looks like a lot of people really like her, so maybe it was just a bad day… but that was my experience.

Kelly is a great stylist. She is knowledgeable and works wonders with hair! I go to her for color (ombré) and cuts. Her scalp and hand massages are soo relaxing.

Unfortunately I did not have the great experience that everyone else has had with Kelly. Before coming in for my appointment we met for a consultation. I showed her pictures of what I wanted my color to look like and it seemed like we were on the same page. When we met for the appointment she didn’t remember the details of what we talked about because she didn’t review her notes. She seemed to have been impatient and flustered that we needed to have another consultation. During our talk it felt like my opinion didn’t matter as much as hers. As she showed me pictures of what she likes and more discussion of trying to come to an understanding of what the outcome would be. I trusted that she’d be able to carry out the look I was going for.
After finishing the left side of my hair was much lighter than the other side (which was barely noticeable). She tried to reassure me that it would get lighter with time. Mean while the back of my hair didn’t show any color. This is after specifically saying that I didn’t want anything subtle. So now I have a strip of color (the way that I wanted all around my head or at least spread evenly throughout) on the left side of my head. After washing my hair once resulting in the strip getting lighter I contacted her to try and get it fixed. She said she’d be willing to fix it if she felt like she did something wrong. Then said that she felt like she did the best she could do (being a partial highlight) and put a sufficient amount of foils in my hair. That’s awesome that she feels satisfied but she doesn’t have to walk around like this. It wasn’t about pleasing the customer because she wasn’t even willing to look at it again or fix it.
I ended up getting my hair redone at Strands Salon where they listened, were kind and gave me exactly what I wanted in the first place.

I love Kelly!!! Kelly was the first stylist to actually listen to me and cut my hair in a style that not only looks cute, but works with my lifestyle. I struggled for years with cuts that were trendy or cute on my, but not practical. Kelly is a miracle worker, she found a style that’s cute AND practical for me. Her knowledge base is immense, she has an eye for flattering cuts and colors. She also picked an amazingly beautiful color for my hair, and I’ve never been happier with it. Her massages are heavenly, and she’s full of great life advice (extra bonus!).
I was so happy with Kelly, that my boyfriend began going to her for his hair. He is really finicky about his hair and had a few bad experiences, but Kelly put him right at ease. Now, he’s a regular, and his hair looks SO MUCH BETTER than it ever did before.

Kelly is awesome. Super knowledgeable, honest, and helpful. Originally checked her out because of a groupon purchase. Thank goodness I did! I will not go anywhere else now. I encourage every person in Sacramento to at the very least give her a try. You won’t regret it!

Kelly is excellent. Reading the reviews, I went to her for a conditioning, hair cut and style for the first time and she did a great job! She exactly did what I wanted and my hair looks great. I am sure to return to her. Thanks Kelly!
The salon where Kelly works is at an easy location and there is plenty parking available on streets.

Kelly is excellent! She has been cutting my hair for about five years and I’ve been happy the whole time. Kelly has a lot of experience and uses that to take my idea and transform it into something that will complement my face shape.

I’m about to give all the women (and men) out there a gift, the gift of sharing. I’ve heard the talk around town about my hair. I’ve seen the envious looks. I’ve even had the occasional touching of my hair. Well, I’m letting the cat out of the bag: the secret to my hair’s success is Kelly Timmons!
She has been my stylist extraordinaire for years now. She has really saved my hair and made it one of my best assets! It’s tough to find a stylist as talented as her and now that I’ve found her, I’m hooked! She does amazing color and cuts, and she recommends the best products for your hair. In fact, I started getting excessive split ends a few months back (probably that blasted flat iron!) and she recommended a thermal protectant that brought my hair back to life.
She listens and consults her clients about their wishes for their hair. She always makes the best recommendations and saves me from doing something crazy. Not only is she good at hair, but she has a great personality too! And, her talent continues — find her teaching Yoga when she isn’t doing hair!
She is currently based out of The Parlour By The Park. I suggest you get over to her ASAP! Your hair will thank you!

Kelly is an expert! I always feel confident that I will walk out of her salon feeling and looking beautiful! She does such an amazing job with my hair that I can’t imagine going to anyone else.
I am particularly picky about my haircuts and it usually takes me a while to trust somebody with a pair of scissors near my head. In the past, with other stylists, I would get anxious when I couldn’t see what they were doing behind me. I would worry as the haircut progressed about how my hair would look when the style was completed.
Kelly has a calming effect, I never worry about how I will look in the end, and I trust her completely. She has never let me down.
What I really value about Kelly as a stylist is her honesty when I bounce an idea off of her or show her a picture. She has a knack for knowing what I really want with a style and she always takes the time to actually talk to me about what I want my hair to look like. It may not turn out the same as the picture I provide, but she always gets what I want dead on. I find that the time she spends with me prior to taking the scissors out is what makes me so confident and calm in her chair. It’s the same reason I feel amazing and beautiful when I leave!
I really couldn’t ask for a better stylist.

Kelly blew me away the first time I sat in her chair. Her eye for style, matter of fact attitude, and efficiency have kept me coming back for years. I recommend her services so highly that I have followed her from salon moves! She will have you leaving the salon feeling and looking like a million bucks.

I have been coming to Kelly for almost a year, she has made me fall in love with my hair again! I look forward to my appointments, not only does she transform my hair, but she is so calming. After a crazy day I leave relaxed and happy. Thank you so much Kelly!
