I’m giving this place 5 stars mainly because they play my 90’s jams! If you want to get down and listen to your favorite hits from back in the day, come here for drinks and good fun! It was one of our last stops and probably the best one for the night!

I had a chance to go here recently and I loved everything about it! Our waitress, who I wish I could name, was awesome! The food was just okay. The drinks were well made and they have a great beer selection. I love that they have specials on shots whenever the train comes by, too. This is a great go-to spot when you’re looking to have a few in a place that has a great ambiance. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in the area!

My server/bartender Peter was so personable and so relatable I forgot where I was. And then I remembered I was a pour house!

I really like this bar. They have quality drinks, nice bartenders and a great outside seating area. The bar itself is beautiful, backlit with bottles up to the ceiling. Hope it sticks around!

Just got back from the PH and it is always a great atmosphere, delicious food and the best Moscow Mules! The Blue Cheese Steak Salad was amazing! The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly; the sweet potato fries were crispy and full of flavor! Did not disappoint.

On 5÷6÷2016, in the middle of Friday night, I was heading to this place located in the Midtown neighborhood called, «Pour House» thanks to the post-CIP after party special which we including myself did celebrated James Cavern’s birthday here. Pour House brings the customers to experience the vibes of pubhouse from incredible selections of drinks in the bar, great outdoor patio, and hanging out with your friends especially your family for brunch too! As I entered their doors, the atmosphere is quite modern and contemporary as I welcomed. The concept is much like similar to BJ’s Restaurant, but with more local flare with live musicians and bands, and great interior lights too. The employees from bartenders and servers especially chefs are doing a sensational job for making the customers like me a great service despite the busiest nighttime environment. No cons at all. Now onto the food! After I ordered a glass of Blue Moon beer, I got the Shrimp Cajun Pasta. As I ate it, it tasted quite good. The flavors are on point which I did feel the saucy, spicy Cajun flavors right into my mouth. Besides the shrimps, I was surprised that there’s couple more chicken breasts on my dish too, and it’s a huge plus indeed! The spaghetti pasta is eatable and bite-able to cut especially chopped asparagus too. Not a bad meal at all. Parking at Pour House can be challenging to park. You can park at the nearest surface street parking if it’s available. Otherwise, you can also ride a bike, walk, or use public transportation easier without the hassles. In the end, Pour House is the finest local pub restaurant that I’ve ever experienced the most right here at Midtown neighborhood in Sacramento. Perfect for night hangouts and friends and family gatherings! A well, worthy visit! My rating: 4 solid stars.

Nice restaurant, great service. Just disappointed the train never came by while we were there. Very good biscuits and gravy and eggs. Looking forward to returning to try other dishes.

Can’t beat a nice brunch, bottomless mimosas, shots with a train or the people. Reliable, good music, fantastic whiskey and bourbon selection.

I’m gonna go 5 stars on this one. I’m from out of town visiting a friend and we wanted to eat. I’ll be honest we were looking for this bbq place where you wash your hands in the middle of the table we couldn’t find it and my homie didn’t know where it was. I been there before with other friends years ago. Anyway if any of you might know DM please. Back to Pour House so we decided to go here. When we arrived I was kinda trippin cuz there’s no parking lot I’m from the land of parking lots. I asked dude if we really wanted to try this place. We said forget it parked in the street and went in. I liked what I saw when I stepped in. We were greeted and seated by our server. She took our drink order and we perused the menu. So drinks come we decided what we wanted. We shared two apps. One was the loaded tots. It was good actually they were great you got a huge serving and would have been better if we had more folks to share these with, but they got over looked by our second app. The Bacon Mac. Holy SHIT. Order that. Even if that’s all you order. Unless you don’t like bacon cheese or macaroni. Now while we were enjoying our drinks and the atmosphere which the crowd was mixed a little bit of everybody fer sure a train rolled by. Yeah literally a train. The bartender yelled something but I couldn’t hear what he said. Shortly after the server came up and she offered us «Train Shots». What are train shots you ask? Yes we were curious too. She said 2 dollar whiskey shots every time a train comes by. How could we say no? And so the entrée came my buddy and I both ordered the Chicken n Waffles. Oh My God. Banana Beer Batter Waffle with 2 big boneless beer battered chicken breasts fried to their optimum delciousness. My body’s chemistry has been permanently rewired because of the mixture of the waffle and chicken slathered with siracha butter and maple syrup. Everything is reasonably priced. I plan on returning in another couple weeks. I do want to try other items on the menu. I usually stick to what I know but here is different. I want to try it all. The service great, polite, and professional.

The brunch is amazing, and so is the drink selection. Ever since the back became a shop it’s gone downhill, the food is still good, but getting a drink is impossible. Getting a seat is impossible. If standing around awkwardly shoulder to shoulder with people-this is your place! Another example of a great midtown bar hitting the pavement with the generic hipster influx.

The chicken and waffles were so tasty! They have over 100 whiskeys to choose from and a really great trivia night on Mondays. This is the perfect place to get drinks and get to know more people. The workers are incredibly chill and down to earth. I also recommend trying the Halle Berry if you’re feeling a sweet lemonade.

Just finished having brunch here for the first time, and I was very unimpressed. Based on my experience I would say this place definitely suffers from a lack of management during their weekend brunch. I arrived at 11:00am. I was excited that the place wasn’t too crowded. I walked up to the bar to grab some menus and there was two female employees behind the bar who literally walked into the back room the second I got to the bar.(…would you like to say«We’ll be right with you»…or «hello???») A bit later a bartender arrived and gave me menus. I ordered a water and coffee with a side of cream and honey while I waited for my friend. I asked the server what kind of coffee they were serving. Costco brand. That’s fine, it’ll have to do. When the server returned, I asked her about the honey. She came back with a honey bear that was practically empty other than the 1.5 inches of completely hardened, crystalized remnants at the bottom. Oh cool, um, thanks. My friend arrived and ordered water and a single mimosa. Her mimosa arrived and she reminded the waitress she would like water. We ordered the regular Eggs Benedict with a side of avocado and the Huevos Rancheros. My friend asks if the«refried black beans» are vegetarian. The server asks her«What do you mean?» My friend asks…“Do they have animal lard in them?” The server says«Um, no I don’t think so… they are just right out of the can.» I’m pretty sure a server should know the answer to that question, or at least offer to find out. Didn’t see our server for the next 15 minutes. Literally did not see her anywhere in the room, including with other tables. The other server brought out our food and after realizing we did not yet have silverware said she’d grab some and be right back. No silverware — rookie move. My friend again, asked for water(3rd time). The 2nd server returned with water and silverware. Our original server finally shows up and asks if I got my side of avocado. Nope. She goes to investigate. My friend’s Huevos Rancheros salsa was notably not fresh, and the black beans were not«refried» as advertised on the menu. My Eggs Benedict was lukewarm… oh! Found my avocado! It’s inside… not on the side. The home-fries were soggy and not crispy at all(which actually, personally I prefer the texture of softer potatoes… but most people don’t) With Costco coffee, canned black beans and salsa… I honestly don’t want to know where my ham came from but it was not high quality, for sure. Server returns with a side of avocado and explains the kitchen put them inside. I told her I had noticed. She left the table. Honestly, I didn’t want the avocado inside, and I definitely didn’t want the side of over-ripe browning avocado she brought me, either. Would have been cool if she had asked me if I was ok with either… but again, it’ll have to do. I’m so glad we didn’t get«Endless Mimosas» for $ 12 because we barely saw our waitress at all and it would have been a total waste of money to never have them refilled. The place had 2 servers for 9 tables all in the same area. That’s 4.5 tables per server, which I think is a pretty manageable section, although I don’t know what other responsibilities they have in the BOH. I’d also like to say, I would be highly reluctant to post this kind of negative review if my server was friendly and/or apologetic but she was neither and I honestly don’t think she was even aware of what terrible service we were receiving. After our waitress cleared our plates we waited for 10 minutes for our check, patiently. No server. Friend uses restroom. No server. I use restroom, and ask the server on my way back if she’ll bring us our check. 5 minutes later, check. We leave cash on the table and finish our coffees. She comes over and says«Do you need change?» I’ve always thought that was tacky. Please just say you’ll be back with change and give me the right of refusal if I see fit. Anyhow… $ 37 later I would much much much rather go to any number of amazing brunch places instead. Hook & Ladder, Bacon & Butter, Easy on I, or Orphan. Please, hire a General Manager. If you have one, I couldn’t tell.

My review for the happy hour - Me and a friend met up there after work. The Kentucky mule is so good! Ginger ale plus whiskey… $ 2 shots for when the train comes by. Gotta love that. Parking is free nearby so that’s nice. But who knows with the arena coming in, I am not sure that will stay free. We ordered a bunch of stuff on the HH menu — The wings, mac and cheese, fries… All pretty tasty. I enjoyed it also because it wasn’t super crowded… But it may have been because it was the middle of the week. Would definitely come back for HH.

Old Fashioned — good Whiskey Fig — a little too sweet Nachos — Actually come with nacho cheese, but the chips aren’t right. Way too thin. Fish and chips — Fish was meh, fries were really, really good. Bathrooms — clean. Service — A-OK They have Anderson Valley’s Gose on tap. They almost get bumped up to four stars just for that! Maybe next time. :) Overall, I would come back if I was in the area, especially for happy hour…

This was our first time coming here after hearing about it for a couple years. Since we had our dogs with us, we were not able to enjoy the ambience of the inside of the restaurant(the décor was very nice and gave off a relaxed vibe), but were extremely glad they are a dog friendly restaurant and accomodated us in the patio area. When I say dog friendly, I mean we could hear our waitress exclaiming to whoever would listen that there were dogs outside, then other staff would come out to say hello. That’s really cool especially since we have pit mixes and we get a lot of mixed reactions. The patio area is pretty small and everything was wet since it is the misdle of winter, but they wiped everything down for us right away and got the dogs a huge bowl of water. After having a couple brunch whiskey shots and beer we decided to order. My fiancè ordered the chickin biscuit which was a fried chicken breast on their HUGE biscuits and smothered in gravy. It looked amazing and tasted amazing as well. I’ve always wanted to try eggs benedict and finally took the plunge with theirs. It looked like a traditional benedict on top of those sexy biscuits. The egg was poached perfectly but since we were out in the cool air, my yolk didn’t stay as runny as long as I wanted. Not their fault at all though. The hollandaise sauce was very tasty and I cannot wait to sample other benedicts now! Both plates came with house potatoes that were delicious. The service was on point and the staff was very friendly and engaging. There is also a bar in the back of the restaurant that has a divey feel to it, which I loved. They had 16oz Miller Lights in the can for $ 3 which you can’t beat and tons of brew on tap in the front. It was a great first visit and we can’t wait to go again and see what the inside is all about. I’d definitely reccomend for brunch and will update when we go another time of the day.

I have been here before, but not since the change of ownership. Pros: Came here for drinks to support one of my friends performing. His set was the best part of the whole night! Definitely had the crowd dancing! Love the décor, intimate lighting, and the arrangement. Cons: The drinks were not strong, not cheap, and the bartender I ordered from did not know what she was doing. I know this because I saw her make my drink pour it in a glass then remake it. It tasted like she had poured water instead of vodka. The second round we did half cash and half card. She took all the cash and then charged the full amount on the card. When we confronted her, she said«I didn’t know what you were asking». Well, why didn’t she clarify? Overall: I would not recommend any cocktails, but they have a good beer selection. I particularly liked the vanilla porter! Won’t be back unless it is support my friend djing again.

So they removed the vape house in the back, which is what we normally came for them but they still have a good Bloody Mary and they have the jackass, which is a Moscow Mule but with Jameson whiskey instead. The back portion is considered now the poor house back bar for people who want a more intimate vibe. I like a more intimate vibe :-)

I visited Pour house for breakfast with a group of 16 girls! I was very impressed with the service from our server and bartender. Our coffees were filled promptly and he made sure to refill our bottomless mimosas just as fast! That was not easy to do because some of us had 5 coffees or 5 mimosas each. I ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage and shared it with a friend. I was so glad I did that because the breakfast burrito was HUGE! It was very good but I still had trouble finishing my half! I would say that the breakfast burrito is the best thing on the menu. Pour House, good job!

I’ve only eaten at Pour House a handful of times, but each time has been great. Service has always been very friendly, and we love the big leather booths. Beer selection is quite vast, and can get pricey but worth it. They also have Dickel shots with pickle backs for $ 7, which is always fun :) The food is amazing!!! It can take a little longer than you would expect, but is always worth the wait once it arrives. I got a philly cheesesteak with cheese whiz last time and it was DELISH, really spicy. I love spicy but it might have been too spicy for someone who doesn’t…the menu didn’t mention that it would be so spicy. My garlic fries were decent but I feel like I ate a ton of them and didn’t even make a dent! My friend said the fried chicken sandwich was one of the best chicken sandwiches he’s ever had, and my bestie Jenna D. really enjoyed her chipotle shrimp skewers. She was skeptical they might not be worth the $ 17.50 price tag, but she was happy! They came with green beans and griddled bacon mac and cheese. On one of our visits, however, we got nachos and added chicken. Once we got the check, we saw that add chicken was $ 5!!! We didn’t bother to say anything but when we went back the other day we checked the menu… add chicken is listed there as $ 3. Hmmm. The nachos were good but not $ 15 good with the added price of the chicken. Also the servers wear shirts that say«Whiskey made me do it» and there are mornings when I definitely need one of those.
