People here are not friendly. Act like they really don’t care about your business or the quality. Tried to go here several times but they were closed early, and when I did go, I usually regretted it because the food is just ‘meeh’.

This place usually runs out of most bagels and you are left ordering whatever is left. The bagels are not plush. They are average, but I wouldn’t call them good. The service here leaves much to be desired. I don’t feel welcome when I enter and it doesn’t really seem like the people who work here are happy or want to make their customers happy. It’s unfortunate that I have to leave a review like this, but hopefully the owner(s) will work on customer service.

This is a neighborhood hang out. Locals only, no flash. All good qualities in my opinion. Grab one of their loyalty punch cards as you’ll be back. Decent bagels. Better than pastry type from Noah’s. My favorite schmear is the walnut raisin. My family loves it!

Bagel craving? This is a pretty good spot to try. Had a nova and cream cheese with onions, tomato and capers on a toasted onion bagel my first visit. Not stellar, but satisfying. Bagel nicely chewy, not California puffy. A little skimpy on the lox but acceptable for the price. It was just after 9:30 and they were already out of several bagel varieties, so earlier may offer more options. Decent coffee. I’ll return.

From the second we walked in the door the employees were very unfriendly. They are open until 2pm and it was not even 11:30am and we were told we HADTO take it to go. They only had a few bagels left(which is to be expected at this time) but she rudely informed us that was all they had. I understand if you don’t have any more options, but don’t be rude about it please. We ordered our bagels and the lack of friendliness was just overwhelming. The bagels were hard and frankly not very good. I saw they had a decent amount of stars when I googled it, but I definitely would not come back here.

Great spot to eat a bagel. Super convenient and extremely tasty little establishment located in Sacramento. The selection here is plentiful assuming you arrive fairly early. Later into the afternoon the selection becomes less. Overall, this is not a bad joint to grab a quick morning bite on your way to work. Pros– Location Taste Morning selection Service Cream cheese Cons– Crowds Selection limited in the afternoon

It pains me to leave three stars for Sacramento Bagel. I’m really big on small businesses, but this one bugs me in so many ways. I’m simplistic when it comes to my bagel, just give me a bagel and some honey toasted. However this place just goes heavy on the honey and any sort of topping you might like, and I know you’re thinking how is this a bad thing? Yea well you’ll need like 50 napkins to rid yourself of the overflowing mess that is your topping. It gets everywhere! There is just no way you’re not going to get your topping all over the place. The service is also pretty blah. You can tell there are a bunch of regulars that come in and seem to run the place if you will, so the service seems to cater to those who are here more frequently than others, this also means that line cutters run thick here. And thankfully I only come here when I get my hair done across the way so I’ll be sure to stick to my Noah’s bagels.

Best bagel sandwiches I’ve had in Cali ever! Was looking for a quick bite somewhere with Wi-Fi and found this place next to Liquidology. The bagel was perfect toasted, and the ham and swiss sandwich I got(Times Square) was well balanced with the mayo. I also appreciate the fact that there’s Wi-Fi at this spot. The price is also reasonable for the sandwich.

I’m so baffled why this place has good reviews. My family and I gave them a try to see if there was more out there than Noah’s. It was around noon on a Sunday, and they had hardly any kinds of bagels left, which was what I expected, since it was late. We ordered three bagels and a coffee, all of which tasted horrible. These bagels are smaller than store bought bagels, and they all tasted stale. The cream cheese was thin and spread carelessly, so it was impossible to eat without making a mess. I was very disappointed with the quality of food and I will not be returning.

My sisters and I were in the area and decided to go to this place for breakfast since the place we wanted to go had burned down. I’m glad we got a chance to try this place out; the bagels were pretty good.

This is the breakfast spot! My wife will be having our twins soon and Sacramento Bagel is right down the street from the hospital. I’m not looking forward to those early early first couple of morning. But I will be pretty happy to hit this place up and get another Sunrise Bagel. I never knew there were so many bagel and wrap possibilities at breakfast!

I love bagels and cream cheese, I mean that’s classic breakfast for me. But this place really steps it up. We’ve tried quite a few bagels and spreads. There are some stars, such as the garlic and herb spread, very good. But I tried the sun dried tomato bagel and sun dried tomato spread and that was just too delicious and when I go back I know what I’m getting

Its nice to still find a bagel shop that has some originality. I am a sucker for cream cheese with chives. I love that theres has huge pieces of chives in it. The bagels are fresh and sometimes still warm. I have tried a few of the bagel sandwiches as well. They are all very yummy and some times messy. I have even stopped in here a few times to get bagels to go to bring into my office. By request every asks for the chive cream cheese.

I like Sacramento Bagel because: 1. They have Spinach Asiago Bagels(I like mine nicely toasted with cream cheese). 2. They have a punch card. I always enjoy a place where I can buy 8 items and get one free. They have a nice variety of bagels, sandwiches, and pastries to choose from, so you’ll probably find something you’ll enjoy. I have never had a problem here and there’s usually a good number of people here buying bagel sandwiches and such. Plus, the staff is very nice and there’s plenty of seating.

After taking our order and paying did they tell us they ran out of eggs. It’s a breakfast spot that doesn’t know when they are out of eggs!!! What came out were veggie bagels; these were decent but not great. Won’t be back.

No, no, no, no, no. No. Nyet. Nien. Do not eat here. Sochi from 8÷4÷14 artfully describes a typical Sacto Bagel experience: the overpriced bagels are slightly better than Noah’s, but customer service is among the worst in East Sacramento for any restaurant. The bagel clerks are rude, unfriendly, unhelpful, and generally unpleasant. They hate having to answer straight-forward questions. They actually seem to just hate people in general, because they’re always like that. If the bagels were cheap and really tasty, the terrible service wouldn’t be an issue. But they’re not, and it’s not. C’mon, man. It’s East Sacramento. Normal Rockwell land. Know your clientele. Do a better job fitting into the neighborhood.

Hard to beat a breakfast bagel sandwich on a Saturday morning and Sacramento Bagel delivered. Only problem, they delivered us the wrong bagel in our to go order! And just our luck, being half awake we didn’t check until we got home. Despite, the order being messed up, the bagels were still pretty good. Service could have been a little friendlier, especially considering it’s early in the morning and the last thing I want to see is a grouch! All of this considered I still think we may have just hit them on an off morning — I’d try it out again, but this time you can bet I’ll check my bag before I walk out the door.

I want to support local businesses, and do so unless they are working on a compelling reason to do otherwise. A decade ago, these folks took over from Manhattan Bagel(a chain that was pretty good), and back then, they were great. Sadly, whether one measures quality, quantity, selection, or customer service, they no longer stack up with Starbucks, Noah’s, or Panera. Darn it, I want to buy local! They store their bagels such that the bagels lose their freshness very quickly, they run out of many variety of bagels very early in the morning, their drink selection is mediocre(plenty of high-fructose corn syrup, but nothing for a chocoholic), and some of the staff appear to be very disinterested in their jobs. This morning was the last straw. When it was brought to the attention of the cashier that she had short-changed herself, see seemed annoyed rather than grateful. Then, despite the fact that we were eating there, our bagels were wrapped and bagged as if we had requested«to go.» After eating, I asked where I could put the paper bag to be recycled, and the expressionless worker told me to throw it away. When I asked her why they don’t have a bin for customers to place recycleables, she became hostile, and then refused to speak with me. The older guy(possibly a manager) was standing right there, and when I turned to him, his poor command of the English language suddenly left in its entirety. Lame! 10÷13÷14 Update: I have bumped them up to three stars because a couple of the women working there genuinely seem to want to be helpful. They have revamped their drinks collection such that it is no longer just a bunch of poisonous junk, and they now have a couple of things for someone in need of a chocolate fix. I’ll keep buying their«day old» bagels, but I won’t have a meal there until they became a bit less wasteful.

YUP! I’ve always been jealous of a bagel place near where my parents live, and I couldn’t find a replacement… until now. I love everything about Sacramento Bagel. The texture and crunch on the outside of the bagels, the soft and chewy center, and the amazingly flavorful spreads lead to one heck of a breakfast treat. It’s a little pricier than I’m used to for a bagel, but once I tasted things, I was 100% sold, price aside. The spread was so outlandishly good(garlic herb on mine) that I actually went back to try a plain bagel to make sure that the bagel itself was good too. Turns out it was great on it’s own, too. I will be going here for all of my bagels and bagel accessories, no doubt.

Based upon my coffee experience, it was just so-so. On my way to the nearby hospital to meet my new baby niece, I figured I should get a little pick me up before I would only be limited to hospital coffee. Not that hospital coffee is necessarily bad, but you know :) So, this place was right on the route. Nothing intriguing about the exterior or interior of the building, Just an average little shop. All I needed was a soy latte which they were able to accompany me with. I ordered a small, soy latte with one extra add shot(smalls only come with one shot which is never enough for me) Total came to $ 4 and some change. They have a $ 5.00 credit card minimum, with a 50 cent charge if under. I took the hit. Latte turned out ok. Soy was decent. Coffee had a slight bitter taste but not detrimental. Service was also decent. May just have to give it another shot :)
