Incredibly filthy establishment. We drove 35 miles into town for an «appointment» for my child’s eye exam. We waited for an hour until they closed. They said they could not see her but they would gladly reschedule. I will gladly take our business somewhere else.

Just terrible! I saw the commercials and was overdue for an eye exam, so I thought I would try them out. I made an appointment for 9:15am. When I arrived, there were two walk-ins that signed-in in front of me. No staff were available to help. A girl runs in at 9:30, obviously late for work. She helps the walk-ins and doesn’t even acknowledge me. Fast forward another 20 minutes and I am no closer to being helped. I finally told her that I had to get back to work and would reschedule. She couldn’t have cared less. I’m going to get away from the big commercial optometrists and go with an independent one.

I had a pair of eye glasses where the hinge was broken. I called before I went in to see if I needed an appt and I was told I didn’t a walk in would be fine and that they could take the lenses out the old glasses and put into a new frame if there was a similar one. I knew it would be a long shot but I went in today to give it a try. First impression. The workers here are so very unprofessional. I couldn’t believe it. Very loud, acting childish, talking about other customers. When I walked in three white coat guys and the front desk girl were arguing. I guess something about a customer who was having a hard time understanding and they were saying how to ask the«dumbass» what he wanted because they didn’t know. Dumbass really? After they were done arguing about who was going to ask the customer I was greeted. I told him the hinge was broken, showed them the glasses and asked if It could be fixed or if they could look to see if I would be able to purchase a frame that would fit the glasses. I was told immediately that wasn’t possible without anyone even taking a glance at other frames but he did take the eyeglasses to the back to see if it would be able to fix it. While waiting for 10 minutes I sat and observed. This is the most unprofessional, immature group of workers. I was given my glasses and was told they couldn’t fix it. Honestly after watching how the associates integrated with each other and treated and talked about their customers I wasn’t surprised by him telling me he couldn’t fix it. The whole time I sat and waited they talked about how a customer thought they ordered one thing but when they came in it wasn’t what they ordered and it was stupid customers. This place is a joke. Don’t waste your time. If you have to get glasses of fixed go to Walmart. I took my broken glasses there and was able to have a new frame and use the same lenses. This so called eye experts here at Stanton optical is a joke.

Dr. Hsu is the optometrist that assisted me. Totally awesome! ! Great staff; Julian and Denise were very helpful and cordial. Looked at specific frames that were misplaced and costly, but Mgr. Crystal, gave me the glasses for the promotional price. Very good customer service and support. Come here first before you shop anywhere. Julian took care of ALL my needs; expedited my frames and tint!!!

This place is a scam. They have signage that says free exam and 2 pairs of glasses for $ 78. So not the case when all is said and done. To top it all off they must have double booked appointments because a 9:15 appointment became a 10:00. Who has time for that? That’s why I made an appointment. Ugh.

Decided to try Stanton because of the convenient location. I was initially hesitant because of the Unilocal reviews, but I had a great experience. Brandon was my frame specialist and acknowledged me as soon as I walked through the door. He gave me a tray to collect some frames and let me browse, free of pressure I have experienced from other companies but also let me know he was there if I needed him. An hour later, I had made a decision but asked him how much I would be paying out of pocket after using my insurance(a concern of mine as a college student). He gave me a breakdown of all the costs and I let him run my card. No surprise costs or fees in the receipt. He even gave my boyfriend a free eyeglass adjustment. I will be back to Stanton for my next pair.

Needed glasses ASAP… on a budget. Brandon took me in with a smile… even though he was leaving. Got my quote and I almost fainted. Told Brandon that was way too much… he managed to fit my budget PLUS included addtl services just because… Super happy that he was able to get my glasses ready SAMEDAY instead of Monday. Thank you so much for the terrific customer service Brandon!!! I will definitely come back.

I’m actually very surprised that this Stanton location has poor reviews… I came in for an eye exam, contact lens fitting, new frames and I even got a free pair of sunglasses included with the manager special! I had such a great experience and absolutely loved the staff. They were all very friendly and helpful especially Julian! I had such a hard time finding the perfect frames that fit my face and Maxx was kind enough to help me, and surprisingly he found me a pair of frames that I absolutely fell in love with! During my contact lens fitting, I had Sharifa help me and she was awesome! Even recommended a different color lens that I also fell in love with! I also met the manager Fernando who was also very helpful and courteous! Just wanted to say thank you to Julian, Sharifa, Maxx, and Fernando! You’re an amazing team!!! Keep up the great work!!!

I am in agreement with most everyone else. Very shady. I made my appt online so when I arrived I asked to speak with someone about my insurance coverage, which is very good, and any potential out of pocket costs. They evaded answering my questions, saying we could discuss after my exam. When I insisted they finally disclosed that the cost was $ 99 and my insurance was not accepted there but that I could possibly be reimbursed by my insurance. When I said that I was not interested in doing that the woman began to haggle the price, saying she would match my deductible. There was a plate of food on the counter, the carpet was not clean and not vacuumed, the employees were unkept with wrinkled clothing. I declined the exam and left.

I honestly don’t know what the negative reviews are about. From the moment I walked in till the moment I walked out Julian and Patrick made sure I was taken care of. Not only do I love the way my glasses look but the prescription came out exactly how I wanted, crystal clear. I got a great deal and last but not least the lab manager Josh had my glasses ready in 10min from the time I picked my frames. Excellent service and product and a great friendly staff. I’d recommend it.

I decided to try something different to get my new glasses, well I should have thought twice before making my purchase here. The customer service is horrible and I can promise I won’t be back nor will I refer anyone. I walk in and a woman barks at me «you here for eye exam» I tell her no I need to get some glasses. I begin to look and several other people came in after me got help immediately. I glared at the woman at the counter and finally a gentleman came over gave me a tray said he would be with me in a moment. Several other staff wandered around and ignored me. About the time I was getting ready to leave the initial women that barked at me finally offered to help me. Then when I called to see if they were ready the woman on the phone acted as if I was interrupting her. Not a good experience.

I work for an independent optometrist in Sacramento and all I needed to do was call Stanton to get a patient’s prescription faxed over. I was greeted by a relatively pleasant man who asked if I was calling to schedule an eye exam. I said no and explained that the prescription they had faxed over a few weeks ago was the wrong prescription(they sent me another patient’s info without verifying it even though the name was common. BEWARE: YOURPERSONALINFORMATIONISNOTSAFE!). After letting the person know this, his attitude immediately changed. He said hold on, and quickly put me on what I thought would be a quick hold while he looked into the issue. Instead, I was transferred to another sales rep who asked me the same exact question(would I like to schedule an eye exam). Um, no? I JUST told someone this. I explained my situation to her again and was abruptly put on hold without warning. What kind of customer service is that? After a few minutes, she answered the phone again and asked for my patient’s name and date of birth. I gave it and read her the prescription we received. Instead of apologizing for what was clearly their mistake, the lady had the nerve to tell me that I was wrong and that we must have given them the wrong information. Which is impossible, since the first prescription was faxed at the request of our patient directly! She told me that they had a completely different prescription on file and that I wasn’t correct. I asked how they could have sent me the wrong patient’s information and she again denied that it was their fault. I asked her if she would fax over the correct prescription and she rudely asked for the fax number. I gave it to her and asked when I could expect the fax. She said, «I guess I can do it now.» She said it would be a few minutes. That was two hours ago and I have still not received the prescription. Go somewhere else if you are looking for quality customer service and protection of your personal information. I should have never received the wrong patient’s information and they should be much more careful about verifying information before giving it out. Talk about HIPAA violations!

This review is for Sue and Denise. They have the best customer service. They made sure my boyfriend got everything he needed, and were very outgoing happy employees. The only issue that day was we had to wait even though he had an appointment. This is a huge upgrade from my last experience. I wonder if they hired all new people. The last time we stopped in so his screw in his glasses could get replaced or fixed. The woman came back with the glasses in two pieces saying they couldn’t fix it, and all she offered was a discount on new glasses. Scam? I think so. He was fuming. Thank god Lens Crafters was able to fix them for free.
