The Present Moment Cafe and Market

The food was fresh and delicious. Such a wonderful variety of options and the owner is so personable. Enjoyed all of my meals there (3x over the course of a week-​long stay).

Soooooo yummy! Finally got to try this adorable and delicious café today. I ordered the DLT and also got to try my friends Pad Thai, both were unbelievably delicious. The atmosphere is very chill and cozy. I definitely will be making it back to St Augustine as soon as I can to go back.

Loved this place. It’s not always easy being a vegetarian in Florida, so when you come across a place like this you and your mouth are extremely happy. Had the Buddha Bowl and a natural soda for lunch. Will definitely be back when in town again.

I’d been suffering the effects of the flu this week and my body was craving something super healthy to give my body a kick start. This was came highly rated so knew we had to try. Arrived at lunchtime on a Saturday. Not too busy. I had the 2oz Wellness shot «Immune Boost» with ginger, lemon, cayenne, maple. Wow that had some kick. Next I had the Green Dream Machine — a juice of Apple, Kale, Celery, Lemon, Ginger. Delicious. We also shared a Buddha Bowl — a yummy, warm bowl of Smoky Black Eyed Peas and Veggies over Brown Rice which was great, would have loved the recipe! Will definitely return when next in St Augustine.

Food is good and fresh nothing fancy. Portions are small. Be prepare to spend 1 hour or more in there for lunch, it gets packed. I have been twice and it is good for something different. A salad will cost around $-8−10 and is small. Bean Burger is $ 10 and comes on a Mill-​it bun and is tasty, it comes with a few chips. Place is small so can be a noisy at lunch.

Menu looked great. BUT… Slow service, small portions, not a lot of flavor. There were four of us and each had something different but same opinion.

My husband and I ate here after finding it on Unilocal.We were more than pleased with the food as well as the service. The hummus was a game changer. Wow. And the pesto Alfredo noodles and blackened tofu wrap. Absolutely amazing. We also got the brownie sundae for dessert and it was fantastic. The ice cream is so creamy yet not too rich. I highly recommend! We will definitely be back when we come back into town!

Sloooooow service!!! Food is good and I’d give it a 5 star but the service gets a 1. All I got was a soup and sandwich and it took over an hour. The soup came out 15 minutes before the sandwich. Waitress never checked on is either. Others have come and gone. Still waiting for the check. What’s up with this? I think they need more help.

In a word, YES! The food was great. The service was quick and friendly. There is a third party service in the area that will deliver. In the three days I was in the area they were out of their Miso, Shiitake mushroom soup, which was a bummer because it sounded delicious. I was pretty thrilled with everything I ordered there. A vegan’s dream!

I was on the internet searching for an Organic Restaurant in St. Augustine as we were going to do a little Christmas shopping. I discovered a web site for The Present Moment Café. We decided to give it a try. It’s was very easy to find. Just off Route 1 on King Street in St. Augustine. We arrived at this cute little restaurant and were happy to see ample parking in the back. When we walked in and enjoyed the quaint SoHo style of decoration. We were greeted by a friendly person who promptly sat us. They immediately brought out delicious lemon cucumber water. We were handed a menu and we were presently surprised at the wonderful selection. Everything sounded delicious and we made our choice. I ordered The Beet Salad, my fiancé ordered The Creamy Onion Soup as well as The Holy Guacamole and Sala and The Mango Samosas. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious. As our main course I ordered Collard Wrap of the Day and my fiancée ordered The Creamy White Truffle Pesto Pasta. The flavors were incredible and the freshness was obvious. We have been searching for this type of restaurant for a long time and have now found it. Well worth our 30 minute drive and we will be back as many times as possible.

AMAZING food! I’ve been traveling all around Florida all week and I would be as bold to say from my experience, best restaurant in Florida! Delicious vegan food and desert. Amazing friendly staff who were very attentive and sweet. I had to wait a little extra for my meal (which I was not distraught about at all WELL WORTH THE WAIT) and they took care of my desert! They went over and beyond for customer service. They have a clean and beautifully decorated establishment (which includes the bathroom!) Which I completely enjoyed. They even have a little «market» filled with all sorts of sweet treats and goodies. I’m going to recommend this place to all of my friends when they visit and I will most definitely be back!

I was trying to convince my meat lover boyfriend, that we should eat here. He was very hesitant but he ordered the nachos and loved them! I ordered the DLT which was also wonderful.

The gem of the St. Augustine! This little place is amazing. Great food, beyond great prices for the labor intensive cuisine and a friendly staff!

This is probably one of the best Vegan, Live Food, and Plant Base restaurant in the US.
I have probably been to the most Vegan places in the US; Present Moment Café shines above all. I visited the place several time, always took the specials of the day. I am still salivating. It is a must if you are in North East Florida.

Good and fine for what it is. Our three dishes all had the same flavor, though. The nacho toppings were the burrito fillings.
Not fun getting there by foot from the historic district — kind of ghetto.

Amazing raw vegan dishes! I was so impressed by The Present Moment Café. I had the raw tacos, soup of the day (carrot ginger), and DLT. So delicious. I highly recommend the DLT and any dessert on their menu. I wish i lived closer so i could enjoy such delectable food all the time.

We had a fun night at «The Present Moment Café and Market». To our surprise there was a wedding party and we met the owners Yvette and Nathan, who have been running this café for nine years! I hope you enjoy the journey with us eating a fully raw meal, which means the food was not cooked over 115 Degrees Fahrenheit. This means that the food was still «alive» with all the nutrients and enzymes. Staying 100 percent raw makes be feel happier, healthier, sexier, more creative and I feel like I am experiencing what the Himalayan Yogis called, Prana, the Universal Life Force. I love feeling the energy running through my body when my cells are clean. But, If you are not up for a fully raw meal, they have vegan warm Buddha Bowls as well!

My Youtube Review of The Present Moment Café!

A recent (and totally unexpected) trip to the St. Augustine outlets nearby found me hungry and checking my Unilocal bookmarks. I had bookmarked the Present Moment a while back and figured this was as good a time as any to check it out. I had never gone this way on King St. so I was a little thrown off and managed to pass the restaurant once before getting into the parking lot. It was a Monday night but for such a small place, it wasn’t too crowded.
The whole vibe of this place made me wish I was back in high school or college and had summers off. This would be the perfect place to spend a lazy weekday evening when I didn’t have to worry about work or school. The service was on the slow side but in more of a laid back way than an obnoxious way (if that makes any sense). The waitress brought out a nice carafe full of water, which I liked. On the other hand, the water was room temperature and had slices of lime and cucumber, which I do not like. Just a personal preference issue there.
I ordered the viva burrito and it came out pretty quickly (I guess that is a big plus for raw food). The burrito itself had some fantastic tasting filling but the «dehydrated corn tortilla» was meh. It was hard (if they’re going to serve something so tough, they need something much sharper than the dull butter knife on the table) and didn’t really have much flavor. The side salad was nice, very fresh greens and a tasty dressing. I would honestly have preferred to have the filling of the burrito on top of the salad.
This is a great place for a calm, quiet meal when you have all the time in the world but not the best for a quick bite (which is more of what I was looking for).

I’m not a Vegan but after eating this I wanted to be! Food was delicious, service was nice and the atmosphere was relaxing.
I would recommend to everyone. I ordered a Immune Detox shot, the Sunrise Burger and shared a Warm apple crumble!

This is a perfect lunch spot that caters to healthy & happy eating! I absolutely loved the Viva burrito! My girlfriend ordered the DLT and enjoyed it we agreed that Viva was he winning dish! Both were accompanied by side salads with a citrus vinaigrette, mmmmm. If you asked me what I was eating I don’t think I could identify many ingredients in my burrito but my taste buds were smothered in happiness! if you’re not vegan do not be deterred. I’m pretty sure these people could make cardboard taste great! Our server was very welcoming and knowledgeable with the menu. Great experience overall!
