I do not think I have ever seen a place quite like this. To me it seems like a spiritual store. However, a lot of the items in the store follow the AA model. So there is a lot of literature and sayings in the store that promote Alcoholics anonymous and its cause.
You will find bumper stickers, cards, and other little trinket reminders that say things like «This car stops at meetings.» The person who helped me says there are larger stores like this in bigger cities.
In addition, spiritual items like incense, books, videos, and gifts as well. I was told there are educational meetings held in the space as well, and the store itself is expanding beyond the original intent of recovery to more of a spiritual journey shop.
Very interesting concept and store with unique motivating items. I saw it when visiting the Present Moment Café, as it’s right across the street.
