We eat here from time to time. It’s nothing special. When you need a Chinese food fix it can suffice. I don’t eat from buffets so I can’t comment on the quality or freshness of that but it always looks well stocked. On the other hand there is never anyone really in there eating… If you’re not too picky its worth a try.

This place is discussing. Food is not fresh service sucks and they do not care one bit about any of it. I cannot believe this place is still open. It is literally the worst Chinese food I have ever had. It has NO redeeming qualities about the food or establishment.

Tried ‘China King’ about 5 years ago. It was terrible. Food was cold and generally poor quality. Decided to give it a try again last week but play it safe with something hard to screw up– chicken fried rice. Again… Terrible. Rice was greasy, no vegetables with the exception of a few stray onions, very little chicken(that was mostly fat). HOWDOYOUSCREWUPCHICKENFRIEDRICETHISBAD?

Great food, however was told that delivery would be 30 – 45 minutes, however it was delivered in under 25 minutes & this was a major inconvenience as I was balls deep in my wife at the time.

Had the sweet and sour chicken. Chicken was way over cooked and dry, and the sauce tasted like there was vinegar in it — not something I’ve ever experienced before. Egg roll was all cabbage and no pork. Serving portion was huge(too much for a completely empty stomach), but the food wasn’t worth the effort of asking for a box. Skip this place and go elsewhere.

I had the sesame chicken combination with fried rice and egg roll. I also had an iced tea. The chicken seemed odd. Like it had been sitting for a long time. The breading was mushy. The fried rice was ok. The egg roll was very heavy on the cabbage. The iced tea was very watery, or made weak. This will not be a restaurant I will most likely visit again.(I didn’t even take leftovers.)

Gross. I don’t see how people actually think this is food. The rice tasted like it had freezer burn. Nasty looking food in all the trays too

Food is good if getting fresh but lunch food left way too long at buffet and have same foods day after day with no change up. If eat there only every once on awhile thats fine but eating there regularly becomes boring with menu never changing at the buffet. But food is delicious!

Love this place! Food is always good and hot. Crab Rangoon is amazing! Right at $ 20 for two buffets and drinks, can’t beat it! The owners are also super nice people.

Had it delivered. They delivered the wrong thing then offered to send me a new order in 30 – 45 minutes. I asked for a refund and they said they couldn’t do it on a credit card. Will never go again.

We used to order from them on a regular bases, its right down the street. In the past year something has happened. Orders are always wrong food is old, and they always charge us for stuff we didn’t get. Then they send the receipt to you in Chinese, so we cant read it. Last night I begged to please make sure our order was right. It came an hour and a half later. It smelled awful. The rice was so hard we had to throw it away. Some of the order was missing, when I called to inquire about this. She told me that if my order would have been right it would have cost me $ 2.00 more. I STILLDONTKNOWWHATTHATMEANS. I just told them we cant do business with them anymore and hung up the phone. SODONTWASTEYOURTIMEORMONEY.

Pretty disappointing lunch today. I am a big fan of hot and sour soup… but theirs was tasteless. In fact, most of the dishes lacked depth of flavor. I tried many of the dishes in very small portions to find what was the best. Well, nothing stood out. I would not return to this establishment.

Nothing in this place was good, horrible flavors and the chicken in everything was the fattiest I’ve ever seen. Maybe if they bought mediocre quality food people like me would come back.

I wanted pizza… she wanted Chinese. Since she’s my favorite person, she won. My girl and I went to China King buffet for dinner the other night. She had never been, and I hadn’t been in a while. We walked in and saw a handful of friendly faces working. We were seated by a nice woman who took our drink order. We walked the buffet before we started grabbing, and the selection was better than I remember. There was plenty to choose from, and the quality was surprisingly nice. I am a buffet fanatic, and I have lots to say about this one. 1. The crab rangoon are the best from a buffet I have ever had… ever! 2. The pot stickers are better than most, even better than PF Changs. 3. The cheesy crab bake adds celery and onions, that was delightful. 4. Their seafood cake is delicious. 5. The«traditional american» Chinese dishes are above average. 6. My drink was never less than half empty. The only complaint I have is the fried noodles tasted very bland and the stuffed mushrooms left something to be desired. Now for the best part! The total bill for two people and one soda…$ 18!!! That comes out to be about $ 8 a person for the buffet! That’s amazing for what we ate. This place is definitely recommended and will be revisited.

I wasn’t super thrilled with this place… maybe I’ve been jaded by the amazingness that is Emperor’s Palace Buffet in Chesterfield or something because coming here wasn’t anything special. But then again, the reason why I ended up at China King was due to my boyfriend wanting to meet up with some old friends. He used to live in the area and apparently frequented China King quite often so it was more for nostalgia’s sake. The food isn’t bad by any means but I felt like was«wasting» my calories there, if that makes any sense at all. They do have pretty good hot tea though, randomly enough. Pretty much any seafood dish at the buffet was a hit for me, as well as the general tso’s chicken. The egg drop soup tasted nasty as all get-out, and the fried rice wasn’t anything to write home about. I took a bite out of something fried that had cream cheese in it, and it was… gross, to put it bluntly. The«sushi» they had there(at a Chinese place?) was balls-to-the-wall dried out. Avoid that, haha. Also, oddly enough, they have a pretty decent selection of ice cream. I think there were about 7 different flavors or so in the freezer? Buffets make me paranoid because I have no idea who has touched what, or how long the food has been sitting out for, but everything looked pretty fresh here, just nothing special. Bottom line… if you’re hungry, strapped for cash, and love salty Chinese food without the wait, go to China King. I haven’t tried their delivery so I can’t attest to that.

So far the best Chinese delivery I’ve had since arriving in Missouri. Great hot & sour soup. Flavorful food arrived fast and hot. My new favorite. We ordered pretty safe next time I’ll branch out to more exotic dishes.

Great under $ 7 large & varied lunch buffet made this not the normal China King. When a friend said we were going to China King I really thought he was kidding me. He wanted me to review a chain Chinese place! Maybe this is just a franchise of individually owned restaurants because this one is special. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by three people at once and questioned«how many?» by all. The place looked well decorated and clean. This one location is special as far as having three full buffet bars and a hand scope ice-cream cooler. More than traditional food was on the buffet like stuffed mushrooms and a seafood roll. Plus some sushi(cooked & veggie rolls), chicken tenders, and a fruit and salad bar for choices. While I did not try the sushi rolls, having the Wasabi(added to crab rangoon) and ginger made the rest of the lunch special. I liked having just a spoonful of good quality and tasting various dishes. I also liked the waiter that kept answering our«thank you» with«thank you». This is a buffet so not all dishes were fresh from the wok, but I have to give this place an A-OK. I understand why my friend and his colleges are fans. I will return and may end up giving the buffet 4 stars just on value and selection.
