Would give the place 3 or 4 stars because the music isn’t bad and the crowd is decent, but the smoke is awful in there. It’s like a very thick fog & you can’t barely see across the joint because of how thick it is.

Very smoky with bad ventilation and the music is a weird mix of country, hip hop, and slow songs. It’s really not the best music for dancing even though that is why many people go here. Not worth the($ 5) cover charge when the DJ is shitty.

Great bar. Drinks are cheap and the girls are hot. What more could you want? Budweisers $ 1 on Wednesday nights. Great night club in St. Peter’s! Will come back. 5⁄5 definitely recommend!

Pros: Before 8:00 there are dance lessons. Fun, well done. Decent drink specials for the ladies. Cons: After about 8:00 the folks start bringing their cigs and drinks onto the dance floor. Music is way too loud. Way too smokey.

If you like to listen to country music and dance, this is a good place to do it. The doorman Randall is a really sweet guy. On Wednesday and Thursday nights there is free line dancing lessons from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Lots of good drink specials. On Saturday they have guest DJ’s from a local country station. They’ll help you celebrate your special occasion. They also have a mechanical bull you can take a ride on!

Let me just start with the recent change in management things have changed a little. So it is still a smokey bar and you will need to shower after leaving here so if you don’t like smoke this is not the place for you. If you like to dance then you will put up with the smoke for a bit. Wednesday nights are the best to go it is Ladies night and drink specials till 11:00pm. But the one thing I have to say is that the dj needs some training. This is a country bar/club and most of the people that come there want to dance to country music so the country sets need to be longer than the club music sets. They have regulars that come to the bar that do drink and want to dance to country music and longer than 10:00pm

Reeks of smoke. The service was horrible. Drink prices are double anywhere else. I will not go back and I do jot recommend this place.

While i was visiting my husband’s family in St. Louis, MO, my brother in law suggested to go to this place and it was impossible. Apparently they just let you in if you are really drunk! I tried to get in and as soon as the RUDE guy on the door saw me he said no!(Maybe because I’m latina looking?) Or I guess I wasn’t drunk enough for the«high» standards of this shitty hole. Don’t wast your money here. There are better places. This is definitely the worst place in the world.

I’m sorry but I had to give this a one star. I had really no issues except for the volume level. It is sad when they go to ring the cow bell for the bull ride and you can’t hear it… Standing next to the person ringing it. I’ve been to concerts before and have had my ears ring but it’s bad when the next day I’m still hard of hearing. Sadly I may have to get it checked out. All in all I can’t recommend anything that would injure anyone health intentionally. I was told new management JUST took over last night and requested the volume adjustment. Even friends I went with said it seemed louder than normal but wasn’t 100% sure.

The bouncers suck. They made us move from a non reserved barstool because an old, ugly lady wanted to sit down with her flavor of the week. We were made to move after the lady hit my friend and the guy she was with yelled at my boyfriend. I would stay far away from this shitty excuse of a bar.

Cheap drinks on Wednesdays. Not the worst music, but then I’m not much of a country fan.

Here’s the lineup. We went on a Wednesday. 1. Great drink deals 2. Lots of pretty girls if you are single 3. Reeks of smoke… a LOT of smoke 4. Loud, unable to talk, but it’s a clubish type place so you expect it 5. No food 6. Cover charge for guys, but not for my wife All in all, it’s OK. Just beware of the smoke before you go. It’s enough to make your throat burn.

I frequent Electric Cowboy a few times a month on Ladies Night.(wed) ladies get in free and .75 drinks until 11pm. I will agree with most of the comments on here. but it is a fun place to hang out and have a drink or two with a group of friends.

It was drizzling a bit as I got out to St. Peters around 11p on the Saturday night I decided to visit the Electric Cowboy. The parking lot had a decent amount of light on it as I headed towards the door, coming up just behind a couple of guys who’d arrived in a large Dodge. Politely, but sternly, the bouncer advised the young men that there was a no no-sleeve shirt policy in effect. Still dressed from a wedding, I had no problem getting inside(though I would’ve fit in a bit better with a t-shirt and pair of nice-ish or really worn in jeans). Located in a large space adjacent to a kids«adventure center» in a strip mall development, the massive single room included a fairly large platformed dance floor with lighting and effects, at least three bars(plus shot-toting cowgirls), a few pool tables, a mechanical bull and a good amount of table seating around the periphery. In a lot of ways, comparing the atmosphere to that of a skating rink is apt. The main activity, dancing in this case, is located in the middle with concessions, places to relax and side activities around the edges. As others have already reported, the music is a draw here and it varies between country and standard Top-40 pop/rap. Upon inspection, the patronage seemed to reflect what you’d imagine would come with that. 20-somethings on up through folks(literally) twice that age made the dance floor home in a constant flow as line steppers, couples and those looking to hook up all had a shot to scoot their boots(or 4-inch heels, or gladiator sandals, or whatever kind of casual tennis shoes…). The transitions from one style of music to another weren’t always smooth, but the fact that the crowd was more or less okay with it was pretty fun to see. When it comes down to it, I’m not the target demo at the Electric Cowboy. What impressed me was that despite this, the bar didn’t care and offered me a great time anyway. Good friends, interesting people watching, loud but not quite obnoxiously-so music, and a big enough space that it was comfortable to move around made for an enjoyable evening. Notes: * My main qualm? Smoking’s still allowed here. Know this before you go. It wasn’t awful by a long shot, neither particularly heavy nor unreasonably thick(probably owing to the very high ceiling), but once you get used to a smokeless nightlife, it’s hard to go back. * There was a very reasonable cover in effect. Getting around the charge on most nights seems fairly simple: come early.

Great place for a girls night out! Great bouncers plus added security of St. Charles County Sheriffs(if that scares you, you shouldn’t be there in the first place). Had a wonderful with the girls. Reasonable cover, drinks, & shots. Had an issue with a drunk creepy older man and it was taken care of by bouncers and police. Bouncers will drive you to/from your car for added(but usually not needed) safety. Hahaha it kind of sounds like a creepo place by my description but I really just want to commend the staff on their helpfulness.

I honestly did not know what to expect when Jason asked me if I wanted to check out this place on Friday night. He had never been, but he knew that it was the ‘go-to’ place in St. Peters for the bar/dance scene. When you first walk in, you find yourself surrounded by all sorts of different people there are a lot of men wearing boots and cowboy hats and others simply shorts and polos. It was an eclectic mix of people for sure. The women wore their typical sun dresses and jeans with cute tops. Do expect to pay a cover when you come here. It was only $ 3. When you walk further in you find a mechanical bull for riding, a lot of lingerie dressed bartenders serving up cheap drinks at the bars, and a dance floor for honky tonk two steppin’. Yes, they do country music line dancing here. They played a mix of old school country with today’s Rap/R&B music. Think line dancing to Chattahoochee by Alan Jackson and slow dancing to I Swear by John Michael Montgomery blaring over the speakers. I sure did enjoy that slow dance with my honey. The night we went they were having a bikini contest that was going to be judged by some Rams football players. Turns out there were only four contestants when they were anticipating ten. I have to admit it was a bit disappointing, but it was amusing seeing the girls prance around in their skivvies and the judges didn’t have much to go off of other than those four contestants. I bet the Electric Cowboy lost a lot of money that night for paying the Rams to make their special appearances. It was a lot of fun people watching. As previously mentioned, there were a lot of different kinds of people here. There was what you would call a ‘bar fly’ going around from place to place ‘mingling’ with different men on the dance floor. Many couples were enjoying each other’s company while other friends were reminiscing on the outskirts of the dance floor. The dancers on the floor that participated in the line dancing had the dance down to an art. This was more impressive than watching my boyfriend learn the Cupid Shuffle. Electric Cowboy is a 1:30am bar. They started closing up shop around 1am and getting people out. They’re pretty abrasive about getting the slow pokes out. So, if you’re wanting to hang out and talk a little bit after the bar closes, you better take it outside or else they’ll put you out there themselves. This is a great place for fun. It was a different kind of experience than your usual night out in the city type clubs. I don’t even think you could consider this a club, but honestly, it is probably the closest thing you’re going to get to it out in this neck of the woods in St. Chuck County. I can’t wait to come back! Next time I will make sure to put on my cowgirl boots.

Stopped in this place around 11pm last night for some drinks and kareoke. Crowd was upbeat and fun. Lots of people were dancing near the stage area. There was a cocktail server running around. Even though we were ordering from the bar(we didn’t see her when we started a tab), she saw me shoot some of my jagerbomb out of my nose and ran over with napkins. I liked the way the bar was set up, lots of available seating. Two pool tables in the back too. I love smokey dive bars and this place was great!

Giddy up! Boy Howdy! I’ll tell you what. I rekon this place is mighty fine… So, I’m not one to hitch my horse to a country bar, i’m a city boy, i like city things. I was tagging along(read: the DD) for my brother, this is his go to spot. For the cheap drinks & people watching, I rekon. It was huge, they had many bars, big dance stage. complete with line judge. The MC was actually engaging the crowd, and giving out free tshirts. They even had a ‘strongest punch’ game, which, is a personal favorite of mine. Definitely a great spot to bring up a posse, plenty of space, very little waiting at the bars, and plenty of parking. I was only drinking club soda w/lime(again, the DD) so I wasn’t boot scoot & boogying. but with enough bourbon i would have.
