Wilson’s Cocktail Lounges

It’s a dive bar. It has everything you would imagine in a dive bar. I ended up here for a huge birthday party. Two bartenders handled 30 plus people. The drinks were cheap. They had cider. They had games, karaōke and good music. The bathrooms were clean, I really don’t understand what the people who reviewed it poorly were really looking for.

Bartenders got upset after I asked for a pitcher of beer 3 times and they get mad why I didn’t tip them.

Honestly so disappointed in this place. Total smoke hole. Seems like a great dive from the outside but nothing amazing on the inside. We have gone here numerous times and usually it’s ok. Today we visited to have a drink and the blonde bartender tells us that her debit machine is not working (after we already had our drinks) so we need cash. She makes us get money out of the ATM which charges $ 2.50 and she doesn’t offer a discount or anything. I have worked in restaurants and bars for almost a decade and I can tell you that it is totally unacceptable to make the customer pay for the bar’s mistakes. If you want to get ripped off and leave smelling like black mold and an ash tray, feel free to stop at Wilsons!

–Bar tender Stole my credit card, held my phone hostage. Paid $ 67 total for a tip that includes hostage money for phone, if your not from St. Pete don’t go! Had to file a police report.

This is your spot if you are a meth head and chain smoker. Cant say I didn’t have fun here tho… the karaōke was super entertaining. as well as people watching. The bartender was halirious and Monday is ladies night! cheap drinks. And they were good drinks too. I just couldnt handle myhair smelling like smoke for the next week even after i washed it! Nastyy

I agree with Thomas W. It’s a great dive bar, but don’t expect much else :)

This spot was apparently featured in the movie Magic Mike (which I didn’t see) but fortunately I have seen no male strippers here.
A few of my friends call this their new watering-​hole and though it may not be my favorite place to go, I have no problem going once in awhile.
Quick Summary:
Pro’s — Attentive/​personable bartenders, cheap/​strong drinks, pool table, darts, karaōke (not sure it’s a pro for everyone listening… but I have indeed participated), TouchTunes jukebox, purely a locals spot
Con’s — smokey, initially feels seedy

Good karaōke and cheap, strong, drinks, however some of the bartenders aren’t very friendly and it’s very smoky inside. There is usually an interesting mix of people from different backgrounds and ages. I’ve had some good nights there, but don’t go very often now because the cigarette smoke got to be too much.
