As far as casinos go, this one is my favorite. They tend to pay out more than most other’s, they have a good amount of table games, and nearby is a bingo hall as well, if you’re into that. They have a nice restaurant upstairs(I would give that restaurant 5 stars by itself), and they often have entertainment events which are fun. And to top it off, the atmosphere everywhere in the casino is great. I would recommend this casino to anyone who likes them.

I only gave one star because it was not possible to leave none or I would have. The hotel has ZERO interest in guest satisfaction and no clue about customer service. I don’t think I would even return if comped a room. My husband booked us a package with $ 100 resort credit, planning to use it towards a nice dinner at the Western Door Steakhouse, but when we arrived we found out they are not open Mondays and Tuesdays. We were a bit disappointed, but figured we’d try the Italian restaurant instead. We arrived around 8:45 and stood waiting for someone to seat us, since there was no one at the hostess stand, only to be turned away by a server who eventually came over. Our romantic dinner became chicken fingers at their café. The worst is the next day, when the steakhouse was actually going to open at 5, they informed us we could not use our credit for dinner as it had to be used by checkout at noon. We asked to speak to a manager and even asked to prepay for dinner and they wouldn’t budge. The only suggestion they made was to pay for another nights stay. TOTALRIPOFF — AVOIDTHISPLACE!

Went here about a month ago. My second time ever at a casino so I am super unseasoned. I signed up for the promotions and got $ 10 in credits which I promptly used up… I really liked all the bright-lights and the sounds– it was sort of arcade like. I really didn’t like that most of the machines were so digitized and made up of just buttons you would push. I found that it was a struggle to find old school pull lever machines but I did find some and hung out there. I made out alright, I earned back all the money I spent so we will call it a success.

Oh my what a great hotel. We took the family skiing at snow valley and decided to give this hotel a try. It was a little more expensive that the local holiday inn but well worth it. My family of 5 were comfortable in the 2 queen bed room. The room was very nice clean and the bathroom was huge. The shower was big enough for 2 with lots of room to spare. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the slopes not a problem… i would though eat out of the hotel we tried the italian restaurant and were disappointed. The pool area was clean and heated… After a day of skiing the hot tub was a nice treat. All of this and free valet to boot we will stay here again.

Came here because my friends and I planned to go snowboarding at Holiday Valley Resort. This place was about 20 minutes away from the resort which wasn’t too bad. Right when you enter the hotel, you just smell cigarettes and cigars filling the whole hotel. It was awful and my eyes would immediately water up. But when you go up the elevator, the smell disappears. The hotel room was good and the bathroom was REALLY nice(probably my most favorite part of the hotel). They have several restaurants in this hotel but two of them that we have gone too was not good. The buffet served pre-heated food and then the other place was overpriced. The one restaurant we really wanted to go to was actually closed on the days we were there which was a huge bummer so make sure you check the days and hours of each restaurant before walking there thinking it’s open. The Casino… just smells like cigarettes, cigars, and ash. There IS a non-smoking section there also but since it’s a room that connects to the main casino, it still smelled horrible. It was hard for me to stay in the casino for a long period of time because of the smoke. The waitresses with drinks made their rounds every 20 minutes in the craps, poker, roulette, etc tables. Drinks were free if you played a game on the tables, the slots, or by the bar(don’t forget to tip the waitresses though). One thing that kind of bugged us when we went was that everyone that was staying and playing at this casino was in their 60’s-80’s. My friends and I are in our mid 20’s so we seemed like we were the outcasts of this whole entire place. Maybe it was because we weren’t from the area so we don’t know the location that well or maybe it had to do with the fact that it was a regular, non-holiday weekday. Overall the stay was decent and enjoyable aside from the smell. It was really cheap during the weekday on priceline so that made it worth staying here.

I am a frequent weekend EVL visitor. We have friends that have stayed at the Casino and said it was a great deal for the money. This weekend I bought tickets to see some comedians perform at the events center. The venue for that is pretty good. We sat in regular chairs arraigned as an audience. Maybe 1000 people. It appears it could also have other configurations for a smaller or different event. The only problem I had was there was no drinks allowed in the performance. The had bars set up outside before, but you couldn’t bring any in. A little strange. No sales inside at the seating either.(There wasn’t room at this event to do service.) The casino is pretty standard from my perspective as a some time Vegas gambler. Craps roulette, lots of cards and slots. Low minimums at most tables in my opinion. Mixed drinks when gambling from the waitress are WAY cheaper than at the bar.(No surprise) didn’t get any«free» drinks while gambling. It doesn’t bother me, but the entire place appears to be smoking. I saw signs for non-smoking areas but didn’t visit any. Just feels a little strange these days.
