I love that Seasons Café seems to carry out their mission with everything they do. The food was good but what was great to me was the obvious love for cooking healthy, organic, local food. They seem to really care about where ingredients are sourced. I liked the bound and laminated information booklet at the table that talked about why they use Pink Himalayan Salt, why they don’t serve lots of beef, how they are involved with bee keeping, etc. Very cool little café.

Such a great find on our trip across America! Love the emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. We got the breakfast burrito and the green chili popper grilled cheese. OMG. So freaking delicious! The only«meh» thing was the blueberry muffin that was on the side of the burrito(I think). It was really dry. But we were so full and pleased from everything else… who cares! :-)

Fabulous, healthy find that serves everything locally sourced. We were just driving through and thanks to Unilocal we ended up here. It was a perfect lunch! Bright, cheery place with friendly staff!

Well I’m afraid that the Patio Pancake Place, which we all love & adore, is now playing 2nd fiddle to The Seasons Café. We just had our first Breakfast experience & it was«top drawer!»…it all began with a pleasant environment & no waiting on a table. With a 2 yr old in tow that was important! Our food arrived promptly, perfectly prepared, fresh & all very delicious! The gluten free pancakes were superb, the eggs were reminiscent of the eggs my truly free range chickens use to produce back on our Virginia farm… firm, deep yellow & tasty! Our bacon & sausage was a treat & the baked apples, sliced fresh tomatoes accompanying the whole shebang added a nice touch. Our waitress was attentive & gracious. So this all adds of up to 5 stars plus for the Seasons Café in Salida, CO. Oh, easy parking & on Route 50… easy peasy!

What a great little spot! Four of us lunched here; four of us were very pleased with our meals. The bison burger was excellent, and the pickles were perfect. The salad greens were tender and tasty; their house vinaigrette may just be the best salad dressing I’ve ever had. I had the dark smoothie – yum yum. Great atmosphere, delicious food, friendly staff, clean restroom!

We tried Seasons Café for brunch this morning and I was super impressed! It’s a cute little place and we were seated in a comfortable booth with a view of their garden. Everything is local which is wonderful. The whole menu was extremely gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan friendly, which is such a great thing for someone like myself with dietary restrictions. That being said– there are plenty of yummy options for carnivores, too. They have great local bison, pork, and even yak! Between three of us we had polenta, a pancake/breakfast platter, a veggie burger, and I had a smoothie. Everything was well prepared, delicious, and portions were generous. Our server, Tiff, was super friendly and great. Really no complaints at all. We will definitely be back and I’m so happy to find a place that is so accommodating to special diets. What a gem in Salida!

The food was truly fantastic and they have an amazing list of gluten-free options. I truly have never had better gluten-free pancakes in this place. The coffee taste like gasoline drip coffee and I would definitely skip it next time. The biscuits are beautiful the bacon tasty and extremely Chris and the French toast look good enough to blow your head off. They made a syrup out of apricots that was delicious and no doubt a lot less sugar and maple syrup. They do not charge you more for real maple syrup however. This place is truly fantastic.

Stopped in for lunch on my way through town. Random stop based on gassing up next door and good Unilocal reviews. Yum. Had the green chili grilled cheese. Delicious(portion moderate in size, but just right with the large side salad). Thumbs up.

This place represents all that is good in the motto«eat local». They source almost everything local from eggs and vegetables to bread and milk. They even have honeybees on the roof. They have Himalayan salt in every table, free wifi and a pamphlet that explains it all including where the food is from. I’m not a vegetarian, and it definitely has that look but once inside its a great place to eat. We hade the biscuits and gravy with poached eggs and the full stack of pancakes with homemade cherry syrup. It was fantastic. The only complaint is that is was crowded but the staff was super attentive Just busy. I wish I could clone this place it’s awesome. Highly recommend this place, wish I

Oh Seasons Café. I really want to like you despite the poorly estimated wait time, lack of water, coffee cream & forks. I mean it was hilarious watching my friend eat biscuits and gravy with a spoon don’t get me wrong. We also got to share a napkin, it was hilarious.

Delicious GF food and the service is very nice. the only issue was that the vegan polenta tasted a little off. Might need to change the sauce. The product they use is all locally sourced and you can absolutely tell! Great job and great stop! Will be back whenever I’m in Salida!

Oh so fresh, and great that they source local veggies, coffee and meats. I had the Biscuits and gravy — messy, and the wife had the green eggs and veggie hash. Both were delicious and well-balanced delights. Highly recommend if in the area!

Best breakfast in Salida by far. I’m actually surprised this place does not have more and better reviews. If you’re looking for greasy spoon, this is not it and maybe that’s why. The food was fresh and delicious with tons of options for people with dietary restrictions. I was able to order a gluten free oatmeal with almond milk for my daughter, my wife had an awesome breakfast burrito, and I had a salad with shredded chicken that was really good. Everything was also really cheap compared to some other places in town. We are definitely stopping by here next time we’re in town.

Although the waitress was very friendly, our visit was mediocre at best. The cream of spinach soup seemed to have no cream, just a thin, slightly flavored water with tiny pieces of spinach floating here and there. Waitress did not write order so brought a soup bowl instead of a cup and wheat bread when gluten free was ordered. The worst thing was when the waitress began mopping the floor with a strong smelling chlorine solution while we were eating. We quickly paid and left with food left behind. Other visits have not been bad. Breakfast seems to be better.

Even though my husband was not impressed I found this place quite tasty. I had the breakfast burrito with a side of green chili. It was filling and flavorful. My husband had the green eggs and hash. I thought it was good but not being a hash fan I am unsure why he tried this one. My son had a pretty normal breakfast but it came with an extra ordinary pancake. It was as large as a dinner plate, fluffy and topped with fresh blueberries. Yum. I would come back even if I had to drag my husband. Haha

If you are in Salida and are trying to decide where to get Brunch, look no further! Coming from Denver, we had been staying nearby for a Ski and Hot Springs trip a couple of weekends ago, and were in desperate need of some good filling Noms for our morning after skiing and soaking. Seasons is bright, cheery, and definitely has that home-cooking-but-in-a-good-way vibe. Small town feel but not too small town; they even had WiFi! I was definitely impressed. Sometimes small town diners or restaurants are just sub-par, so I was wary at first, but Season’s definitely did not disappoint! They have a list of where their local ingredients come from on each table; meats, produce, dairy, coffee, even! We tried the«A Fine Mess», «Green Eggs and Hash», and the«Crème Brulee French Toast». Each dish was very flavorful, a generous serving, as well as filling. I’d recommend each one! The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5, was I felt the coffee was a bit weak, and coming from a local source, I thought they could have either picked a better roast or maybe brewed it a little stronger; or both. But I can live with weak coffee as there are SO many Coffee Shops nearby I can get my Espresso fix from easily. Our group all identifies as ‘Foodies’, but after a long weekend of driving, skiing and soaking we weren’t too picky. However, the table behind us was asking the server those ‘nit picky’ questions like, «Is your Syrup 100% Maple? Does it come in a glass bottle?» and«Do you know what type of flour you use in your pancakes, is it whole wheat? Can you go check?» The waitress was super nice to them and very accommodating, and didn’t mind their Granola-ness one bit. Also, they are right off the main road(hwy 50) and are very easy to find. I will definitely come back if I am in the area again and in want of Breakfast/Lunch!

When I saw quinoa on the menu, I knew this was the best quality breakfast in town. And it exceeded our expectations. Prices are ridiculously low and probably what breakfast should be! I had the green scramble on the specials and a light one smoothie. Excellent! My partner had the B&G «a fine mess» which was also out of this world. I do not like biscuits and gravy and this was so good I kept trying to steal a bite. Service was excellent. Loved the woman at the counter. Wish I had one of these in SD!

Don’t let their 1980s façade and interior scare you off they have a menu which is 2010s granola hiker style. I have a feeling they opened business without spending money to remodel from a previous business no problem. It’s just disconcerting to new customers. They make their own chai on the spot and sweeten it with honey. You can have it made with almond milk. They don’t have soy milk. One of their breakfast specials is a bowl of quinoa with dried fruit. You can add your favorite type of milk. Breakfast burritos can be standard fare with cheese and potatoes in a flour tortilla. But you can get one in a corn tortilla. They also include sliced green chile. Additions are chorizo, bacon or a veggie mix of corn, zucchini and kidney beans. I don’t usually consider beans to be a vegetable, because they are a legume and such a great source of protein. It was a nice option anyway. They ask you if you would like red or green chile, which comes on the side. They need to work on their green chile. It tastes O.K., but it was meh. And it looked more red than green. Their salsa has way too much vinegar in it. They have pancakes, hash and granola and other good stuff to choose from for a happy breakfast.
