I used to love visiting this place and hit it up a ton back in the day before it was closed. Now it’s some other place I can’t bear to set foot into. I’ve understood Chile Verde is now onto food tents, but haven’t run across one to try it and see if they’re even remotely near the quality of then. Them jumping into event food stands makes sense… back then, I hit them up for something fast, hot and relatively fresh and it fit the bill most times. Wait was minimal and it was mostly cheap and filling. Was there better food out there? Definitely, but something about this place just kind of stuck with me, I guess and it had a certain kind of warmth and charm.
