Stopped in for a quick breakfast after arriving in SLC for work. Great service, quick and friendly, I would recommend trying this place out if you’re in Salt Lake City!

Came here from out of town on the way home from skiing up in the great white mountains. Firstly, I can’t emphasize enough the raspberries that came with out champagne. The server brought us a whole plate! Food and service were fine!

The grapefruit juice was really fresh but that was the only thing that stood out. They had messed up my order and the omelet was quite tasteless and runny.

This place is amazing. The best band aids for people who are bleeding. And also berries.

Salmon salmon salmon!!! Order the salmon and don’t look back. It comes on a cedar plank… Life doesn’t get better than that.

Very disappointed with my experience here. It appears MSG is on a downward spiral. Not many bodies here on a Saturday evening which is why we were able to just walk in and be seated during prime time. Top sirloin was very sub par. Ordered medium and it was served well done. Steak was grainy and wasn’t seasoned in the slightest and could only taste char. Texas Roadhouse does a better steak for half the price. Clam chowder tasted great and if you’re deciding between chowder and salad, go chowder. Salad greens come straight out of store bought salad bags. Parked valet and it was a mistake. Waited in a line of 10+ people and it took over 20 minutes to get our car which made us late for an appointment.

Went here on a girls night and had a great experience! We called at 6:30 and were able to get a 7:30 reservation so that was nice and we were seated immediately upon arriving(on a Friday night) The atmosphere is casual — cape cod — nice, which totally works for this place! We ordered a few dishes to share and enjoyed everything! From the small plates /shareable appetizer menu we got… Crab Cakes — very good and fresh! Ahi Tuna — the BEST ahi I’ve ever had! Delicious blackening, SO tender, it was amazing From the main menu we ordered … Crab Stuffed Talapia — this was so good! A creamy flavor, awesome sauce, and even good side veggies. I recommend all three above dishes! The only thing I wasn’t in love with was the spinach salad because it was over dressing-ed … For dessert we got chocolate cake and key lime pie — both disappeared quickly Had a wonderful experience and will definitely return!

Had good success at this place before, but this time, not so good. Enough that I would consider not coming again. Main thing, the crab legs weren’t very good. Nearly impossible to get the meat out is the main issue here, where as previously they were perfect. Overcooked. :( The service was fine. It sure seems like prices went up. But I can’t confirm.

Dear diary: I stopped here with some coworkers which one happens to be a Unilocal elite and I can say, no Bueno. Not to say the food was terrible but it was terribly over priced. We started with some crab balls(yes we laughed at the order). They were fried and ok. I then ordered the halibut stuffed with crab. I guess I read it wrong because the crab was on top and not actually stuffed. The fish was pretty good and the crab was good. The mixture of both was a solid ok. The clam chowder tasted more like a mushroom soup. To say the least not much clam and a whole lot of chowder. With several other good options in the area my return is unlikely. If you want to spend $ 40 on some food go to Takashi(next door) or PF change.

This is a favorite breakfast spot for any business breakfast downtown. The orange juice is awesome. Always ask for a large and give them grief the glass they give isn’t really a «large». Long time waiters, waitresses, and hostess is always nice and they might not remember your name, but remember the faces. Omelettes and oatmeal are my favorites. Food I would say is a four and a half, the place makes it a five. It gets crowded during the conventions and when the state legislators are in session. Park to the west of the attached New Yorker if you can.

Came here with a party of 12 for brunch and they were able to accommodate is pretty well! everyone enjoyed their respective eggs Benedict’s and pancakes and eggs and other breakfast dishes. They’re fresh squeezed juice selection was also delicious. It took a little bit of time for our food to come out likely because it was a busy afternoon and we were a large party. The wait staff was very friendly although it seemed as though they did not have a ton of experience with larger groups of people so they were a little bit inefficient and taking our orders. The restaurant is pretty large but doesn’t feel overcrowded or too noisy which is nice. Prices are relatively reasonable considering portions and quality of food. Overal however, the important thing is that the food was delicious, and I hope to go back for eggs Benedict and crab cakes soon!

Way Overpriced. Food portions were small and meal was average. Enjoyed the server and service. The atmosphere was very urban and upbeat. We received a recommendation from the hotel who gave us a coupon for a free appetizer.

The place was very much in the French brasserie style, a little noisy but somehow still private. The real strength of the restaurant is its choice of fresh fish and seafood. I did order the Utah rainbow trout with tartare which I strongly recommend. The service was actually quite good in that it was the right balance between discretion and being available when you need them before you tell them that you need them. Overall pretty good.

Wanted to go downtown and take a few work colleagues out for a relaxing dinner, so upon their suggestion we landed here. I should’ve listened to my fellow Unilocalers and trusted the reviews — while it was decent, it wasn’t worth the price for the lack of atmosphere and basic menu of pub type food. It was my first time eating here and probably not a place I would frequent. The décor was very 1990’s diner chic. Very bright lights and not great ambiance for a relaxing evening. The food was traditional American fare, nothing special from what I could tell — between the décor and the menu, it was a high end diner. The service was fairly attentive, but we couldn’t always locate our server when we needed something. The food was seasoned well, but for entrees ranging from $ 22-$ 40 each, I really was surprised to get something that I would have expected from a Chili’s or TGIF type establishment. I may be the outlier, since by the time we left, the place was packed and there were plenty of people waiting for tables. Glad they’re doing well — just not my type of place.

Food is mediocre and over priced. we went on a Saturday and they close at 930 pm. 930 pm people. downtown? makes no sense. although the food was okay, the drinks however were amazing. great baretender. They have valet which is a plus.

Meh. My friend Patrick and I agree, the food is so-so and the prices are too high for so-so. I went there recently with my dumb sister, he «friend» and my lady. I had the chowder — it was thin and watery and required salt. They also served it at just above room temp so the oil was floating. My lady had the Ceasar and they committed the cardinal sin of underdressing the Ceasar. We had to ask for more dressing. I had the stuffed salmon. I am not certain what the stuffing was — it was supposed to be crab but if it was, it was about 5% salmon and 95% something creamy — I was afraid to ask. The fish was also dry and over cooked. It was supposed to come with herb potatoes and it came with 3 small herbed potatoes and a fist full of candied sweet potatoes. Not particularly tasty. The best part of the meal was dessert — I had the carrot cake. Although the portion was small, it was tasty and well executed. Overall the experience was sub-standard for +$ 40 per person — no alcohol. The meal was simply poorly executed overall. Price should translate to value or proper execution. I won’t be back.

I give it 5 stars for breakfast food. We have only gone for breakfast. Saying that our breakfast was off the hook good. First let’s start off with the fresh squeezed orange juice. Off the charts good! I ordered sunny side eggs, bacon with hash browns, English muffin with fresh made raspberry jam. Kiddos got french toast half size and buttermilk pancakes. Hubby got over easy eggs and we all tried some one everyone’s and it was so good. We love diner food. Just not greasy spoon diner food and this place is fresh diner food. No grease! Love this breakfast food

I’m exasperated with Market Street Grill. The plates never change, the service is mediocre, and the prices are absurd. It’s all fine. Their décor is nice and classy and the servers are dressed more formally so it feels like a classier establishment. I used to come to Market Street on the regular but have since stopped these past couple of years. Market Street to me is like Barney Stinson in the sense that those who know him well roll their eyes and groan when they find out he conned another wide-eyed sucker into an evening with him. But it’s worse because at least Barney Stinson changes his approach with every conquest. Market Street stopped trying an insanely long time ago. If you do decide do come, try to shoot for before 6⁄7 so you can take advantage of their Early Bird specials where they don’t gouge you by charging you $ 24 for tilapia– tilapia. Tilapia should never be $ 24. Never. I do love their clam chowder and their sourdough bread though so there’s that.

With the vast selection of seafood restaurants in the valley… Haha, just kidding. Market Street is actually one of the few that specialize in freshly caught creatures of the ocean. In my opinion, they do it well! I enjoyed my clam chowder very much and thought the whole snow crab entrée was super tasty. The side dishes were lacking in creativity and finesse, but I don’t mind simplicity. Skip the halibut sandwich since it’s just a step above your Filet ‘o Fish though. Service was great, and the atmosphere was casual with above average pricing.
