I own a Raymond Weil watch. It has been part of my collection for nearly 20 years. It was purchased in Los Angeles during the years I lived in Valencia. Since moving to Utah, it has been difficult but not impossible to find a jeweler to service my watch every few years; changing the battery, cleaning, etc. The jeweler most recently used was in Bountiful. However, that jeweler is no longer listed as a certified RW service center. I know from past experience, that I can’t take my watch just anywhere. During my recent visit to OC Tanner, I brought the watch to a young man and explained that my watch needs a new battery. He said they did sell RW watches, but the store does not have a certified repairman on staff. Then, he said, «You can take it to any watch repairman and they will change the battery.» At first, I thought nothing of it. Then, as he led me to other employees in the store, one of whom also owns an RW, I felt as though I was not welcome. Granted, it was a Friday, and I had just left my classroom. But, they looked me up and down as though I was from another planet. Then this young man called another store at Fashion Place telling me that Massey Jeweler would be happy to send it out to the manufacturer for repair. The take-away from this? If OC Tanner is a certified seller of RW watches, then why send a customer across town to a different jeweler to have it sent out to a certified RW repairman. Absolutely unacceptable customer service!

This review is for the«employ recognition» portion of their business. Like another review below, their customer service is terrible or non-existent. First, my account starts out broken so I can’t place my order. I send an email to «orders». Seven days pass. After waiting nine days for someone to reply to my initial email, I find their Facebook page and leave a review. On the 10th day, they both delete the review and finally respond to my email. They then shipped me a visually defected product. Now I’m back to waiting to see how long I have to wait again for them to passively-aggressively reply. The irony is that this is supposed to be a company that recognizes employee achievements but really only end up frustrating them. It also took them over two years to correct our business mailing address, sending *every* award statement to the incorrect address. Really embarrassing to hand out milestone awards late because they wouldn’t take action on an clerical issue.

WOW beautiful place! Three stories of beautiful watches and jewelry. I attended an event here and it was very nice. Staff were very helpful and had great customer service. Great selection of Patek Phillipe watches, Rolex’s and Breitling. All sorts of jewelry from fun and unique to traditional diamonds. Subtracting a star for parking. Thank god they had valet on a rainy night but I could see how it could be difficult if you are coming in to shop which I will be.

If this is the same OC Tanner that manage corporate«appreciation» awards? A shame on you — you have a worthless, buggy and impersonal rewards website system. Talk about«appreciation» after this experience, I think it is bordering on insulting! More fool our company for selecting to distance themselves from their employees by using OC Tanner in the first place. Email requests have in the past to OC Tanner have not even received an acknowledgement!

My(now) husband bought my engagement ring from an antique jeweler who had had the ring appraised here. We decided to check them out after a bad ring sizing elsewhere and though it was a little more expensive, I felt totally at ease giving them my one-of-a-kind ring. They seemed super confident about the size I should get and assured me that it was the best choice(although it seemed a bit small to me). When I got the ring, it was cutting off my circulation and I got really discouraged. I didn’t think I was ever going to get the sizing right and I was upset they recommended a size that was clearly too small. I nervously called back a week later and I was amazed. They wanted me back in the store IMMEDIATELY to solve the problem. They felt terrible and walked me through exactly what they would do to fix it(I had heard it was bad to keep messing with ring size but their technique was as good as it gets!). They didn’t charge me for the extra silver, they didn’t ask anything of me really, and had it back within a week after they put me on a high priority list. I look at my ring now and I’m amazed! It’s absolutely perfect! I would have rather not gone through this odyssey in the first place, but I have to say, they went all out to make right what was wrong. If you’re having a ring sized, make sure you’ve had plenty of water and your hands are room temp! That’s my only advice!

Terrible customer service! I gave a ring, that was purchased from OC Tanner several years ago, to the Park City store to send down to the Salt Lake store to have the setting changed, as they said was customary. The PC staff were gracious, attentive, enthusiastic and helpful. They mentioned that someone from the SL store would contact me to discuss the changes I’d like made. After two weeks passed and no call(I was out of town part of that time or would have acted sooner), I called the SL store to inquire. The woman seemed confused, asked me a few questions, put me on hold a few times, and said she wasn’t certain of the status and was going to call the PC store for information. I had her confirm they actually had my ring(a very large emerald cut aquamarine with six diamonds), and mentioned I simply needed to set up an appt to discuss ideas for the new setting. She said she wanted to call PC and she would call me back the next day. Surprise, a week later and no phone call, I went down to their store and asked to pick up my ring. The woman helping me was nice enough, tho obviously felt awkward about my picking up my ring unserviced, called one of the jewelers to track it down, told me it would take a few minutes to find it and ultimately delivered it to me where I was waiting. There was no interest, concern or professionalism as to why I might be just taking my ring back. My business obviously meant nothing, even though they had made the ring. Never again, I will use one of our wonderful local jewelers in Park City.

I hate to spend money there but #1 when we can afford to, my wife more than deserves it and #2 the staff is knowledgeable, low-key, friendly and patient.

Though I miss the old planetarium, this is a great place for watches and other jewelry. They have their own parking too which is a plus. Staff was friendly and not overly pretentious. However, I wish that one older guy would have moved his damn laptop from the top of the watchcase when two people are obviously viewing watches in it. They boast 400 Rolexes, but they have just a few dozen on display like Massey’s. What’s the point in boasting if you can’t see 90% of them without having to specifically request one?

Are you looking for the highest-end jewelry store in SLC? If you’re at OC Tanner, you’ve found it. The SLC store is absolutely gorgeous, as it’s located in a completely refurbished library/planetarium. They left the exterior pretty much original, but the interior is completely redone. Salespeople are extremely helpful, but aren’t too pushy. They’ll let you just walk around and enjoy the display cases, and are more than happy to tell you about the history of the building. Don’t expect to come in this store and find $ 25 earrings for aunt Mabel.
