I typically only go to Chinese places on a friend’s recommendation since I’m sensitive to MSG. I’m so glad Chin’s was recommended to me, I can eat there without any negative reactions! Mongolian Beef is my favorite and it is always nice and spicy at Chin’s. Never hit or miss with this restaurant. The egg drop soup is always good, too. Chin’s Garden is always a hit! Don’t change a thing!

This is my new favorite place. Delivery is on point and it’s very welcoming to dine in as well. Crispy beef has kept me from venturing into other dishes but I’m looking forward to trying the sushi.

The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Upon walking through the door my fiancé and I were immediately seated. The waiter was polite and pleasant. Our soup came out immediately and our appetizer followed quickly after that. Our main dishes were delicious. I ordered the chicken and vegetables and my fiancé ordered the Mongolian beef dish. Overall this place gets 5 stars from me. Excellent service, delicious food and a relaxing atmosphere. I am glad to have found a Chinese place to dine at regularly here in SA.

I love this place. The spring rolls are excellent! We are always seated quickly and don’t have to wait long for food. We’ve had sushi here once and it was excellent! It’s reasonably priced as well. Go with the wanton soup.

Not so good. We waited long enough to consider leaving and then the hostess came out to seat us.
We got the egg drop soup as the reviews said that it was really good. I would say that it was okay. The viscosity of it moved a little like Jello but we ate it anyway.
For the entrée, I ordered the moo goo gai pan. It was very bland and the sauce was that same Jello like consistency. My wife got the beef and mushroom dish. It was very salty and the beef was stringy. The egg rolls were good, unfortunately, one was cold.
The rice was cold as well and I think was just Uncle Ben’s that came out of a microwave.
We ended up leaving without really digging into our meal as the food wasn’t worth the calories.

I was searching for a Chinese place nearby and decided to try something new. I saw the great reviews on here and thought I’d give it a chance. I ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice, a cup of egg drop soup, an egg roll, and a spicy tuna roll as an appetizer. the sushi was good but could’ve been a lot colder. that fact that it was warm grossed me out. the soup was nice and hot and had a good flavor, just like I like it. the egg roll was fresh out of the frier and was so hot and so good and I ate it too fast to enjoy it. SO good. then my meal came and I wasn’t impressed. the sesame chicken didn’t have any flavor and neither did the fried rice. my brother got the orange chicken and I liked it better than mine. overall, I would go back for the egg roll and that’s it. plus, I saw the review about the pubic hair and I was on the lookout the whole time. I didn’t see anything but it pretty much set the tone for the meal.

Great flavor. You can’t beat the pork fried rice, it’s the best in town. I love their sushi, orange chicken, beef and broccoli and veggie lo mein. This is our «go to» take out place and sometimes we’ll go in just to enjoy the quiet relaxing atmosphere. It’s a gem in our neighborhood and we hope it never goes away!

I’m not a huge Chinese food fan, I stick with Moo Goo Gai Pan. That being said this place is good. I love the staff. They are friendly and remember my face when I come in. Ha. That always makes one feel good. They have delicious hand rolls if you are a sushi fan. Also, delicious soups. Best Miso I’ve ever had. Sometimes I’ll just order a bowl of eggdrop or miso soup when I stop in and when you ask for a bowl, they don’t screw around. It’s a HUGGGGE freakin’ bowl!

I go here for the combination fried rice. I eat asian food A LOT and have been to many places in town in my 3 years here. Have not found better fried rice yet! I don’t even need to put anything on it. It just comes perfect. Every time. Thank you!

Great lunch specials with quality food. Its cozy setting makes it great for lunch or dinner.
The wait staff is entertaining and helpful. The service is fast and the portions are very generous.
Plenty of parking in the shopping strip lot makes it easy to get in and get out.
Try every one of their specials, especially the Triple Delight — very good.
Great place if you’re looking for fresh Chinese food.

I had a solid four star experience here and for Chinese food in San Antonio, I’d say that was pretty freaking awesome. Friday night and we were seated right away in a clean booth with a clean table… nice start to a weekend, right? Right.
We decided to start with the beef teriyaki appetizer which came with a mini hotpot to cook our beef on. It was so fun to barbeque our own beef and add that with the crunchy, fresh cabbage underneath the beef and it was delicious. Besides the egg rolls, I’d definitely choose this as an appetizer again.
We also ordered two California rolls with extra cream cheese and they were phenomenal. The avocado and crab was crisp and tasty and we liked it so much that we ordered another one to eat during our main course. Our main course was an order of the General Tso’s with fried rice and the broccoli beef with steamed rice. I love love loved the fried rice. It was wonderful. We also ordered the pepper steak which came with small chunks of steak with chopped up pieces of broccoli in a creamy pepper sauce. Devoured that in minutes. Highly recommend.
They have pretty decent Asian beer at Chin’s. I would definitely get the Asahi with your sushi. It is the perfect accompaniment to a California roll. We will definitely be back to Chin’s for more sushi and beef teriyaki! Yum!

First time here. Was amazing!!! We have tried many Chinese restaurants and have been disappointed. We were about to give up on them. But after coming here… the food was really good. Service was also excellent. Food arrived fast, especially during lunch rush. I recommend.

Gets 3 stars because we received good service, but this seems to be just an average, run of the mill establishment. Wasn’t really impressed nor super disappointed by the food (didn’t try the sushi). The wonton soup could have used more flavor. If I didn’t live close by it’s not a place I would make the trip out to.

Love to eat here. The manager and the waiter always makes great conversation. The sushi is good and fresh and the food is always great. I always order something special and have no problem. They have a good clean restaurant and now they have a great party room.
