I absolutely love the sushi here! I just can’t stand the service. I eat here about an average of three times a week. If the food wasn’t so good I would most definitely take my hungry self elsewhere. The staff lacks knowledge on basic questions such as «is this make to order?» or «what can I substitute this with?». I get a lot of «Well I don’t know» or not informing me of simple things. They don’t tell you if something is an up charge, and they won’t ask you what size you would prefer. I believe it’s just the Stone Oak location. I do have to say at the Lincoln Heights location the staff is much better. EXTREMELY friendly and much more attentive. I fell more comfortable spending my money there.

We have been going here for years and always have a good experience. We also get delivery and take out. The quality of the food is great and consistent. No complaints here. It is still one of the best sushi places in town.

This is the 2nd time I’ve come to this location and the sevice sucks. Got sat and no acknowledgement for about 10 minutes. The first time we were there we were about to leave when suddenly a server shows up and we decided to stay for what was ok sushi. This time we went in and no acknowledgement again. We got and left. I don’t have time for bad service. There are plenty of other great options instead of this place.

Moving from Austin I’ve been looking for good sushi but toy can never go wrong here. The sushi is always fresh and their rolls are just awesome. The salmon tower is my fave and is enough for two. They have a very extensive menu and plenty for people that don’t do sushi. Great sake menu and they have awamori! If you haven’t had that try it! Stays very busy but worth it.

Went in for a quick bite during happy hour. Wait staff clearly does not want to give you the happy hour menu. It was actually amusing the way she danced around it… at one point saying«we ran out of happy hour menus». I finally got up and found one myself. Rolls from the happy hour menu were falling apart… not sure but I felt the sushi chefs too were down on us ordering off of the happy hour menu. That may have been me imagining their dislike… could be that they are just not good at rolling. Also ordered a $ 5 happy hour drink that never came. I think she just made a mistake on that.

Awesome sushi restaurant. The menu is enormous! The potstickers were light and crispy. I had the Lincoln Heights roll, which is wrapped in tuna and yellowtail. Great service. Highly recommended.

Never fails, good selection… Loyal customer! 10 years & counting :) The Bora Bora, Cosimo & Boston are My favorites… Ask for the toreado sauce on the side for an extra spicy kick! Edamame, plain sunomono & yakimeshi rice are also on point!

Always a good place for sushi. Shrimp tempura and edamame for appetizer were great. Edamame is addictive. Happy hour has 20 $ bottle of Chardonnay. Had the prosecco and it was delicious. A must is the the cosimo roll !!! And anything with eel or eel sauce. Tempura ice cream is awesome looks weird with green tea ice cream but it’s delicious!

I’d give it zero stars if the app allowed. Food is good, but service is abysmal! Used to be good service staff, especially in the bar area. Last time I was here I sat at the bar for 10 minutes and never was acknowledged then left. Tonight ordered food to go and took 35 minutes. Plenty of staff and managers running around actually doing nothing.

We had such a great time at Sushi Zushi. Had a small wait and went to the bar to get a drink and they happen to be on happy hour until 7 pm. Delicious cucumber sakitini and a blackberry cocktail. Our server was great and the big selecting on rolls made it exciting to try new takes on sushi rolls. We also had the sashimi sampler and devoured it! Great place for a date night and not crazy expensive with a nice ambience.

Overpriced Japanese Cafeteria(the best way to describe this place): Cheap Quality Ingredients, Small Portions of Actual Food, Overpriced Dishes. Food: 1⁄5 Price: 1⁄5 Service: 4⁄5 Atmosphere: 3⁄5 The food quality of the ingredients(outside of the fish used in our San Antonio Roll) were well below par — you can taste the packaged ingredients. In particular: 1. Sukiyaki Udon — They used cheap udon noodles, and the dipping sauce is the same for vegetable tempura. The menu says to allow for some time to prep — That’s a lie because all they do is boil a small amount of packaged noodles and serve the sauce. This was actually the first dish that came out. 2. Chicken Katsu Curry — The curry lacked flavor, and they use simple white rice(let me guess: Chinese Jasmine Rice) to fill the plate. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor. The sauce also lacked flavor and tasted watered down. I’d related this dish to buying McDonald’s chicken nuggets, adding rice, and using the McDonald’s dipping sauce as the curry. 3. Shishito Peppers — Expect a large empty dish garnished with just a few oily peppers. 4. San Antonio Roll — This was the only redeeming dish for this unconventional Japanese restaurant. The fish was presented well and had good flavors. If you end up here, just get this roll and skip everything else. You’ll be disappointed.

Marry me Sushi Zushi I love this places food !! I mean that Sushi roll with Serrano on top and the melted cheese, I died seriously. I don’t like how it’s set up(tables) and tiny hallway but I loved this place and will recommend to anyone who asks

I would love to give this place 5 stars but I stuck with 3 stars due to service. This place is my family and i’s go to spot, we enjoy all the delicious sushi rolls. Unfortunately the service is very poor, the waiter we had seemed very irritated, was very slow with taking orders and wasn’t pleasant to speak too. I see waiters on their phones as well, coming from serving experience myself none of this is acceptable. Love the food though, just not a fan of the servers.

I’ve been eating here for years, so I definitely owe this place a review. I don’t even know where to begin: every roll I try is fresh and amazing, the appetizers I get are yummy(I mainly stick with edamame or miso soup, but recently I tried the Dynamite Mussels which were SOGOOD), and the staff is always friendly and willing to help. The drinks here are great too, which reminds me– sit at the bar! It’s way more fun to chat with the bartenders and the people around you while enjoying your meal; you feel less pressure to leave early. I would also recommend coming to their happy hour(3−7pm on weekdays) which offers some pretty sweet deals! If you are a spicy lover like me, get either the LIR Roll or the Godzilla Roll. Forever my favorites.

I absolutely love everything they serve here. The champion roll and the Rajun Cajun roll are my favorites. Edamame are great as an appetizer. Sake is great as well.

I guess I picked the wrong day to order delivery… there was soy sauce all over the inside of the bag as he rang my doorbell and handed me the bill. I said«looks like something spilled in there…» The driver’s response — «Yep» proceeded to walk away… You’ll see the photos i posted that it looks like he was in a race to get to the house. A little advise to the wise… don’t order delivery. You’ll waste 45 minute waiting for a disaster in a bag. The cosimo roll and stone oak roll was decent. Cant taste bad with all the eel sauce and cream cheese on it. The ‘tiger eye’ tasted like it’s been in the fridge all day sitting. The tuna tataki was ok.

Their Chirasha bowl was amazing! It has all kinds of fish over a bowl of rice like giant sashimi. Also try their seaweed squid salad. It’s the best! Their green ice tea tastes very earthy and authentic. Very good service as well.

Somehow I have been eating at Sushi Zushi for upwards of five years and have yet to write them a review, so let me just remedy that real quick. Out of all of the sushi restaurants that have come in and out of my life in the last half of a decade, I’ve rarely found a place I love as much as Sushi Zushi. The menu extends to infinity and beyond(giving everyone a wide choice of options)(they’ve even got a vegan section!), the interior is warm and relaxing, and usually the service is spot on. My favorite roll to order is the spicy vegetable tempura roll because its got it all – spice, flavor, crunch. And another favorite(which is also divine), the tropical roll – avocado, mango, sriracha for a sweet and spicy kick. The vegetable yakimeshi rice is delightful. Add a side of spicy mayo to anything and you’re in business. The best time to go to Sushi Zushi is during their happy hour from 3 – 7. A four hour happy hour where favorite menu items are dropped in price! Whaaat?! This just ties into another reason I love Sushi Zushi, which is it doesn’t break the bank. My same standby order at Sushi Zushi would cost $ 10 – 20 dollars more elsewhere and would probably leave me feeling like is more to be desired. What I’m trying to say is Sushi Zushi and I go together like two birds of a feather. Come join this flock.
