Denny’s

Okay people; there is nothing wrong with this Denny’s. It’s your average Denny’s restaurant — no more, no less. Yes, they may be slow and you’ll be waiting for your food for at least 30 minutes… but it’s busy! Especially on the weekends because of the Air Force graduates. But coming from me, (and I’m an OCD clean freak, that’s a little bit of a restaurant snob) this place is fine; and it’s quite clean for it being so busy, the bathroom isn’t scary. Our waiter was even professional and continued to acknowledge us throughout our wait.

Very poor service! Always under staffed. They were rude there and the food was not good. It used to be a good place to go

This is the worst place ever. Sat there for 40 mins and a couple and their daughter came in way after us and they got their food before us. I went to the manager and she said our order had only been in the system for 11 mins. She asked the server why did it take so long to put in the server said she put someone else’s in first. Manager said we didn’t have to pay for our drinks so we walked out.

Came to Denny’s because it is a stable for breakfast items. Not this one waited for 10 min after seating. Had go ask for service and not busy only 5 other tables present. Last time at this Denny’s

If Denny’s offered a retirement home for its employees this would be it. Service was slow. The sweet tea I ordered was unsweetened so I kindly asked for it to be fixed. Sheila brought it back 5 minutes later with a cup of sugar sitting at the bottom of the glass… Place was sorta clean, but it kinda fit the whole décor of «just good enough to pass inspection». Haven’t been to Denny’s in a long time and looks like I will keep the streak going. Solid ⁴⁄₁₀.

Every time I come to this Denny’s (which is the closest from home) I have a terrible experience. They take forever to come an take the order and the servers always mess up with the orders, they don’t ask you for basic preferences like what kind of tea should they bring, they just bring whatever because they’re always in such a hurry. One time I got the eggs raw and other time the fruit was old and the putrefaction process had already start. I don’t blame the people working here, it’s the administration for not hiring more staff, they really need more servers and cookers.

First of all, we called at least 5 times to place a to go order and got put on hold 15 minutes the first time then continued calling, even telling them how long we had waited and called, and they just kept putting us on hold. FRUSTRATED we decided to just dine in. When we arrived there was no one greeting the long line of at least 4 tables at the door. This Denny’s needs to learn how to properly accommodate and acknowledge their guests. Management needs to either hire more people or put more of their employees on the floor. Very disappointed. We left and don’t plan on visiting again without mentioning this incident.

We love Denny’s. Great coffee, great service, clean place, good parking and newly remodel. Best servers!!!

Im forced to put one star sadly. Or else i would give it nothing. Ill start off saying that the manager is lazy and did nothing to help his one and only server but flirt with guest at the counter. And the one and only server (female) was so rude and had such bad manners and took 22 minutes to take our drink order. She was the only server but still… lacking the skills to take a drink order? Lacking proper manners and table etiquette is a huge no no in the restaurant business, I would be ashamed to have her or the asst. Manager at my restaurant. Never will me or my family will be coming here again i would rather drive across town then come here ever again. Whoever the g. m of this store is needs to step up there employees for the sake of the entire franchise. Btw… i didint even pay full price i had to deduct the service was so bad.

Took them 15 minutes to notice I was there and was rude about seating me, lack of kindness in this place
They only had 1 server, I understand it’s not her fault
But when she has a crappy attitude and is rude to everyone something is wrong. I had to get up to get my own utensil and she kept getting the drinks and food wrong. The manager is just standing there not doing a thing instead of helping doing what a manger should be doing and stepping up to the plate… NOT BEING LAZY! I will not be returning here after this horrible visit.

Got here at 12:00pm didn’t get seated till 12:15pm while all the table were dirty and all the staff was out in front smoking and al the customers wait for their food I didn’t get service till 12:30 and still wait for my drink and food and everyone still outside hanging out when the drinks came the were All wrong this place use to be a good place it just went to crap

Service was terrible!!! My husband stood at our table waiting for a high chair for several minutes. When it finally arrived it was super sticky. We were given a table and silverware but no menus. Waited over 8 minutes for the waitress to come back so we could ask for menus before my husband got up and picked them up from the hostess stand himself. When she finally returned, she automatically assumed we were going to order the original grand slams. Another customer was seated one table over from us about 5
minutes after we ordered. He ordered the same thing we did, received his food, and finished eating before we ever received our food! Our toast finally arrived 10 minutes after the rest of our food. Thank goodness the food was actually tasty or this review would be titled a complete disaster instead of just terrible service.

How horrible! Fred at the front so rude! Credit card machines are down and the best answer was your going to have to wait. there is nothing we can do! There was no estimated wait time. We had to leave the store and go to ATM. Very horrible customer service at the front from Fred. Will never go back!

I love dennys. it’s my favorite place to eat at any time of the day. this particular one isn’t my favorite. it’s very busy on the weekend because of the Lackland graduations every weekend.

We were in town for my son’s Air Force BMT Graduation and staying just down the street. We got in town after a long day of traveling and finally got settled when we looked for something to eat nearby. Recognizing the Denny’s brand from being a frequent traveler, we settled on this one, expecting the same mediocre «get-​in get-​out» experience. How wrong could we have been! The host was a young man who had a smile that made you know he enjoyed his job and just radiated happiness! We sat down and were immediately greeted by «Ronnie», our server. He was incredibly polite and prompt! He even took the time to inquire about the cast on my daughters arm and kid with her about being clumsy! When the food came (quickly, by the way) we were blown away! As I stated earlier, I have frequented Denny’s for years and this meal was BY FAR the BEST at any Denny’s I have ever eaten at! My Grandslamwich tasted like something you would expect from a much higher end restaurant and my wife’s Bourbon Chicken Skillet was absolutely incredible! So much so, that my wife (the woman who never eats everything on her plate and doesn’t like leftovers) actually took her leftovers with her back to the hotel to enjoy the next day! We are in town for a few more days and WILL be returning to this Denny’s! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Had lunch here a couple of days ago and for the life of me I can’t believe I had the best avocado bacon burger ever. The burgers are hand patted how good is that. The burger was big and juicy. Of all places to have the best burger, m sure to return for the burger.

Came to Denny’s for some good down south breakfast… Not the same in NYC. The two times I went I received two different experiences.
The first the service was EXTREMELY SLOW and the food was eh. Yeah just EH, lol.
The second time the service was much better and we had a great waitress. The food although not spectacular, got the job done. I was full and ready for Air Force Graduation. I would only go here again if I have too, not because I want to.

Gross. Hair in the onion rings and the burger tasted rotten. Stay away! This is a bad area. I wouldn’t try any of the other restaurants in this area either.

Never had a bad meal here, I go about twice a month. Would be a five but when it gets busy you never get a drink refill.

This place gets 3 stars because they made me almost die laughing. So no one wears uniforms here, maybe because its in the ghettoness that is San Antonio… but our waitress was wearing jeans and a baggy t-​shirt. She brought our booth neighbor his drink and pancakes at which time she spilled his drink onto his pancakes and into his lap. Bad right? It gets worse. She laughs, doesn’t offer him a napkin, grabs the cup (leaves him sitting in ice cubes and wetness) and TAKES THE PANCAKE AND WIPES IT ON HER PANTS and PUTS IT BACK ON THE PLATE. She was joking, and said, «All better». We found this hilarious that someone would do this, the guy paid and left while she was making his food again. Our food was ok, I love the new Sum 41 Sumwhich… yum. Good laughs, bad service, good late night food.
