Fajita Express Mexican Grill

We live less than ¹⁄₈ of a mile from this location and although the food is decent it still takes them over an hour for delivery! Not worth the cost, so once I went thru the drive thru on the way home thinking it would be faster, sat in the drive thru for 15 min just for a few tacos. Speed or urgency not on the menu, but the food and prices are good… if your not starving.

I go to fajita express for lunch a couple times a month. Their food consistent, fresh and so dang delicious. I’ve yet to be disappointed! It’s extremely affordable and they do not skimp on servings. Service is always friendly and cooperative.

Super yummy food and very reasonably priced! Best of all the service was AWESOME! Two thumbs up from the Smith family!

Once you get the food, it’s great! Just the percentage of times orders are messed up or don’t arrive at all now prevents me from ordering again. After 1.5 hr wait, they said they’d go ahead and start the order& send it. An hour later… nothing. Looking for my refund now.

Great service, helpful staff and great food. Had the chimichanga and family had carne guisada plate and super nachos. The chimichanga had great cheese sauce and the beef fajitas were very tender. Spanish rice was nicely spiced but the guacamole hot sauce was the best part of the meal! Quite spicy!

I placed my order through Eat24. I placed my order at 0950 and according to the email I was suppose to have my food delivered at 1046. The food was delivered at 1031 (you got a star for that). Everything was in the order (Star for that). I ordered:
2 Bean and Cheese Taco
Kids Chicken Nugget & Fries
Asada Burrito
Guisada Taco
How did it taste?
*Bean and Cheese Taco = Beans had a lot of season in the mainly to much pepper. The tortilla was not a fluffy as I would like but the flavor was good.
*Kids Chicken Nugget & Fries = The nuggets look like something you find in a school cafeteria. I’ve seen better nuggets from my freezer section. The fries were good but I didnt like the fact that it came in a to go box with aluminum foil on top. There was a lot of condensation and the food was on the verse of being soggy. The fries would have definitely been crispy if it wasnt for the packaging.
*Asada Burrito = The meat was really tasty and tender but again the beans had a weird flavor. Also the wrap speemed store brought or at least it didnt taste fresh.
*Guisada Taco = The meat and gravy was perfect. I wish the tortilla was fluffier so that it didnt fall apart so easily from the gravy. I had to eat it fast.
I gave them the final and 3^rd star because the food was decent but I wont be ordering again.

This place is awesome, easy to order, fast service and friendly staff. The Mexican food here is yummy. If you dine in you get warm fresh tortilla chip along with awesome salsa bar for free. Never a disappointment.

I asked the girl on the phone to double check that none of the food had meat and she said the cheese enchiladas came with a meat sauce so we changed it to the salsa verde. Unfortunately, our avocado Burrito Jalisco came with that meat sauce. :(The chips were stale and all of the food was cold upon delivery. The queso was really yummy once we re-​heated it. That’s the only reason I’m not giving 1 star.

Not the best torta I’ve ever had, but for the price (with soda for $ 5.50) it was pretty good.

Plain food slow service and a little dirty i would not go back if it was free also really small inside

Bought a Groupon and decided to grab some lunch. Once they found out I had Groupon they asked for $ 10 more! What a joke. Should have looked at reviews BEFORE buying Groupon. Don’t be scammed

Great idea for a fast food place. Everyone loves fajitas. They just need to start serving margaritas

Very friendly team and bonus points to them for making a special order for me. I’ve been missing carne asada fries, like you can get many places in SoCal but haven’t seen in San Antonio yet. They’re basically like super nachos but swap french fries for tortilla chips and top with diced carne asada, cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole. Thank you, guys!

My boyfriend and I are foodies and love to try new restaurants. We are new to the area and decided to try this place today. He said, «they impressed me» after discovering there are bits of whole avacado in their guacamole. Big points there! The meat tastes delicious; we got to try carintas, beef quesadilla, asada taco. He got really excited when he found pastor tacos on the menu. He loved them! We will definitely be back and possibly order delivery too.

I got breakfast tacos at 4PM and paid the extra $ 1.50 per taco and they were HORRIBLE. I got potato and egg and it was like the potatoes sat under a heat lamp all day and then they microwaved them for 2 minutes before they gave them to me. Disgusting.

Seriously? I was looking forward to getting a puffy taco in Texas for months leading up to my recent trip. This was the closest place that had the goods. Unfortunately, they really didn’t have the goods. Their puffy tacos weren’t puffy at all, they were dense and chewy and just not tasty. Huge disappointment. Plus, we waited maybe 20 minutes in the drive through for our food. Their salsa was redeeming, it was spicy and fairly good, which was important seeing as their food was all bland, greasy, and sad. Would not recommend.

Hmm. got a groupon for this while traveling in San Antonio. Verified had good reviews on Unilocal so we were off. Didn’t look too special from the outside & gotta say inside was worse. Sauce cart didn’t look sanitary & sauce disappointed. Hoped for the best but all four diners agreed, beef, chicken & shrimp fajitas were bland & not as good as most fast food «Mexican «.

I don’t live in Alamo Ranch area, but this place is really good. I tried it for the first time today and I got the beef fajita taco norteña. Their prices are really reasonable but the Taco was small. It tasted really good and the fajita was very tender. This area of town has everything compared to where I live and they need more restaurants like this over by me which is near North Star mall. Oh and the cashier was very nice as well. The next time I am on this side of town I will definitely come here again.

Very Upset! Over an hour and twenty minutes after I place my delivery order, I call to see if it’s on the way. I am informed that it hasn’t even been made!
I will not be attempting to order from here ever again, and I will inform my friends of this experience.

I really wanted to give a great review for the delivery service and food after our first time eating here, but the second time (just now) was no where near acceptable. (1.5 stars at best).
The first time I got the taco salad, my husband had the fajitas, and we ordered chip with queso and vanilla tres leche cake. It took 45min for delivery (busy night and within the Eat24 estimate) and everything was hot, crispy, and amazing.
Tonight was a joke compared to that. 1.5 hours after ordering when we live 10min from the place. Cold, cold, cold. Everything — except the supposed to be cold cake, which was warm. Also, my cheese enchiladas had next to no filling and the crispy taco was tossed on top of them. Needless to say, it wasn’t crispy, and all the fillings was soaked and spread throughout the enchiladas.
Congealed, late, cold, disappointing. At least we know which bakery makes the delicious cake so we can buy direct.
I wish I wasn’t so disappointed by this second time, otherwise I would be more inclined to try a third time (but I can’t say I am :(),
