Dec. 2015: I am updating this review from 2 stars to 3. The Director of Retail Operations contacted me after reading my review. He apologized for my experience and said he followed up with the staff to try to make sure this didn’t happen in the future. He then asked if he could reimburse my money. He went out of his way to improve customer service. I hope the changes are made but I do appreciate his care and I should reflect this in my review. Original Review, Nov 2015 7:30am: They ran out of non-dairy options and their printer wasn’t working. Person at the register was trying to keep the barista straight on the orders, taking out food from the oven and refilling the drip machine while taking my order. My Americano was weak even though I asked for less water. Grounds in the coffee. The person ahead of me asked for a medium drink and was given a small. I prefer to support smaller coffee shops instead of the giant and over-roasted Starbucks brand. Maybe it was an off day for Green Beans but I may pass on the B gate coffee options altogether.

Coffee was pretty standard but their customer service was pretty good. If you go to the San Antonio airport I think this is the best option for coffee.

Been to the airport in SA a few times but this was my first time stopping at Green Bean. The girl there was very nice and I got a chai latte and a chocolate pastry– it didn’t take too long and there’s some seating there too. Unfortunately I didn’t try my drink until I was already at my terminal and immediately noticed how grainy it was. When I took a closer look at my drink I realized there was an entire layer of chai mix sitting at the bottom and the batista hadn’t really mixed any of it with the milk. I tried to drink as much as I could but had to throw it away. Thankfully the chocolate filled pastry was fine. I don’t normally write reviews, particularly bad ones but it was rather dispointing way to start a travel.

This is your only coffee option in Terminal B, placed right after you go through security. I stop here before almost every flight, but I’m never wowed or disappointed– it’s just okay. As others have said, the caramel latte is surprisingly well done. Jus a few food options here, light prepackaged salads and such, similar to a Starbucks. If you’re in the morning, they have heated items like bagels and breakfast burritos. Food-court style seating or take your cup to go.

Never tried this coffee shop before but thought we give it a try as it was right after TSA checkpoint and was early morning with my coffee craving kicking in. They are similar to a national coffee chain competitor as far as selections of coffees pastries, yogurt parfaits etc. There were 5 of us traveling together so luckily we got in line quick as shortly thereafter the line got very long. Coffee was typical flavor and good but nothing spectacular. We ordered breakfast burritos and a bagel sandwich. You can choose bacon, sausage or ham on your burrito or bagel. They made them fresh while you wait so not pre-made and just heated. The downside to that is if rushed you have about an 8 – 10 minute wait while it cooks but definitely worth it if you have time. The food tasted fresh. No sauce was offered or came with the burrito but when we went back up and asked they had some available. 4 stars because during rush hour for flights they definitely need more than 1 clerk and 1 person preparing food to keep up with the customers as most people at airports definitely want fast service. Definitely a strong competitor for coffee and breakfast versus my normal stop. Unfortunately I have not seen this chain in many places.

Friendly, fast service! Great selection of coffees, sandwiches, bakery items and dried fruit and nut packages. Also has parfait s, apple/orange juice and chips. There is a Starbucks at the end of the b gate if you prefer that. A chocolate store is located right next to it but doesn’t offer hot chocolate!

Good mocha, just a little sweeter than I like, but with a good flavor all around. Soft cinnamon roll with a nice fresh flavor.

Rarely do I get a caramel latte made flawlessly. However, on Tuesday PM I stopped by Green Beans Coffee at SAT airport and discovered just how good a caramel latte can be. The guy at the counter was super nice. He was not quick, not in any kind of a rush. After I placed my order he was determined to make a 100% flawless caffeinated delight. Will I return? ABSOLUTELY. Every time I fly out of SAT I will allow time for this wonderful treat.

Only place outside of overseas for Green Beans coffee… the best coffee around. Espresso Chai Latte baby!
