High Tech Transmission

Two visits here in as many years, both time referred by our friends at The Dealer Alternative (free plug for them!). The staff are super cool and will listen to you attentively by phone and in person. First visit was for an automatic transmission flush in a car that had around 180,000 miles. The price was fair and there was no push for additional services. Second visit, I arrived at 7:20 am to drop the keys in the night-​dropbox and they were already there (despite not opening till 8 am). When they called to give us the bad news, they broke it to us gently and fully explaining the problem, cost to repair, and risk of not repairing. ZERO pressure. NONE! Unfortunately, the price of repair exceeded the value of the 10-​year-​old car (now with 214,000 miles) so we opted to forego the repair and get rid of the car. These guys are the real deal: honest, friendly, and high quality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is the ONLY place I will go for transmission work. Gerald is one of the nicest people around and I have brought 3 of my own vehicles here including a custom «monster truck» and have recommended this place easily 20+ times. The turn around time, pricing and customer service cannot be beat by anyone. They treat your vehicle like it’s theirs and are up front /​honest about everything. I drove my Hummer H3 from Bakersfield, CA to San Antonio, TX when the transmission decided to go out. I was quoted a price that was way out of my price range, but Gerald was able to work with us and cut us a deal; seeing that I was from out of State and on vacation. The mechanics from High Tech Transmission rebuilt my transmission and had my car ready in 4 days; they were nice enough to move their others customers back to get us on our way. Good service affordable price for fuild change on my Honda E. Service was quick… this was done over a year ago and I’ve got no issues ever. Why did I change it? It was part of Honda’s recommended maintenance at 100K miles. I choose Hi-​Tech over a dealer because there cost was better, all they do is transmissions, and they used OEM Honda Transmission Fluid.
