IHOP

Food and service were good on a Sunday night. The only thing was they put some sort of seasoning on top of my simple and fit omelette which i have not ever seen before when ordering this. The BLT was good. There was nasty dust coming out of the AC ducts. Makes you wonder about they keep their kitchen.

Ok guys I know you expect a certain kind of service and quality of food when you go to a common food chain such as IHOP. Well, I expect hot coffee, smiling servers, and a somewhat quick breakfast/​lunch.
Unfortunately, I did not receive all three when I visited recently. The server had warned us of a delay in the kitchen, but we did not expect to spend so long waiting on our food. Our server was perfect, she anticipated our needs and made sure we all had drinks. When it came time to tip I felt bad because how could I feel right leaving a fat tip when the kitchen bombed the experience.
I called to voice my dilemma. The regional director stated he was sorry and yes their GM was actually on the line trying to save the kitchen. He asked if I would visit again and offered a discount on my next visit.
We went back and it was perfectly what you would expect from IHOP. Hot coffee, smiling server, and the food came out in a reasonable time! Hot! This was a successful visit and I was sure to show my appreciation through the tip. I do feel that servers are tipped according to the whole experience, although it is unfortunate when that component is uncontrollable to the server. All in all, IHOP at IH10 and Dezavala has some great people working there. And the experience isn’t bad either. I would go back!

The morning crew gets 5 stars on service.
The evening, no. I literally walked out after 12 minutes of sitting at my table waiting for service. 2 servers ignored me, and my server never showed. The kicker was there were a total of 5 other customers there besides me and my daughter. This is the second time this has happened. I won’t be returning to this establishment.

I’ve gone to other IHOP’s that were better than this location.
The most off-​putting component of my visit to this IHOP was the bad service. To be fair, they did seem to have a good amount of customers, but the service was unpleasant. The waitress never checked in on us, with the exception of when we ordered our food and when we received our food. It took us at least 40 minutes for us to get our food from the time we ordered. The food wasn’t warm, and it tasted like it had been sitting out in the kitchen for a while. To top it off, at the very end of our dinner, I asked for a to-​go box, which was never given.
The food was bland, but I usually don’t go to IHOP for quality food. So for the quality of food aspect, I’m just saying, ‘meh’.
I probably will end up going again, just because it’s close to where I live, but not by choice.

Very friendly service. Food took a while but it was a big order. Waitress was very nice and helpful when asking about things to do in San Antonio.
