Paru is the best!!! This is literally a hidden gem! I will travel across town just for her to do my eyebrows!

India Store has specialty items. They offer dairy, produce, packaged mixes for soups and meat dishes, rice, flours, nuts, snacks, oils, vinegars, sweets and also soaps and toothpaste. They offer eyebrow threading, music CD’S, DVD’S, clothing, bedspreads, and incense. They are very kind people, willing to help you find what you need. They offer ample parking and are near Hwy 410 South on Evers. I came to buy coconut oil and found the Parachute brand which is an excellent product! This unrefined coconut oil evokes images of a tropical island. Parachute brand is unmatched by every other coconut oil brand out there because it’s pure. This oil is for my cooking, my smoothies and my hair and skin care. India Store has my full customer loyalty with this premium pure coconut oil. I got Medjool dates too for my banana smoothies.

I would give Paru 10 stars if I could! She is hands down amazing! I have tried many places in San Antonio and I know I found my new eyebrow and waxing home!!! Her prices are very reasonable and she is an expert at what she does! I went in for an eyebrow threading and my eyebrows came out looking fantastic! My brows are now on fleek I also came to her for some waxing and she does it flawlessly. Once you come here, you will never want to go anywhere else!

Love this place. I can go anywhere and I always choose this spot for my threading. You’ll love it. Don’t let the fact that it’s in a store fool you. She’s awesome.

I’ve been in Texas 1 yr & 2 months. From Houston to San Antonio, this is the very first time that I have NO complaints at all. The esthetician is awesome. She is kind, inviting, experienced and informative. The store where she’s located isn’t the cleanest but I wasn’t there shopping in the store. I will definitely return. $ 7 for eyebrow (cash) $ 10 eyebrow (credit card). Closed on Mondays.

No one else I trust to do my eyebrows and full face threading. Always satisfied. :-)

We decided to check India Store out after lunch at Moroccan Bites. They have a wide selection of Indian snack foods, bags of all kinds of different kinds of rice, and interesting «just add meat”-type meal kits. We picked up a couple of different kits to try at home along with some snack foods for the road.
India store is worth a stop if you’re at all interested in international food. It was fun to wander the aisles and check out all the different flavors and dishes. Most of the items were quite cheap too (compared to Central Market, etc.)!

Don’t make a mistake and go somewhere else. There is a line for a reason and it’s because she’s excellent at what she does. She is definitely worth the wait!!!

Paru is so sweet, she always thanks you for waiting upon greeting. Despite almost always having 1 or 2 people before me, I am always seen within a few minutes. She is very swift and efficient, plus the prices are yet to be beat compared to the other places in town I have tried. There’s a reason she has such loyal customers. Come to Paru for all your threading needs!

Ladies this place is the BEST in town for eyebrow threading, believe it or not! What?! At an indian grocery store? You ask. Yes! You heard it right.
I’m so happy I discovered this hidden gem after a horrifying eyebrow threading somewhere else. Prior to that, I left my eyebrow untouched for a year b/​c I was new in town and hadn’t found a trusted place to do my eyebrows. Overly thin terrible looking eyebrows is one of my biggest fear! So I’d rather leave my eyebrows alone and let them grow like wild grass.
Finally I saw this five star rating indian store eyebrow threading on Unilocal.It’s not far from work so I went in to try it out during lunch hour and had been coming here ever since! The price is more than reasonable (current price for eyebrows is $ 10) and the indian lady Paru does wonders to your eyebrows making them look so natural and polished. The line can get very long sometimes especially during lunch hours so that says a lot about how good she is!
Now I’m moving again to another state and I have to find a trusted eyebrow threading place in the new city. That makes me so sad. I wish I could take her with me. She actually lives in New Braunfels and drives back and worth everyday for her business. She also has a store up there but it’s by appointment b/​c it’s much slower than the business in SA. So if you happen to live close to that area, check out the «aesthetic beauty care» too.
When she heard I was moving, she didn’t want to charge me! How sweet was that?! But there is no way that I would take her hard earned money! I’ll deff miss this place and would gladly return if I’m ever in town.
Ladies (and gentlemen, yeah there was once a guy in line too) look no further for the best eyebrow threading!!!

I’ve been coming to this woman for years. Her hands are magic, I swear! It may be a hole in the wall compared to the eyebrow place next door, but I’ve tried both places and would choose India Store over the place next door any day! I definitely recommend this place to anyone

I’ve been searching San Antonio for almost three years for eyebrow threading that makes me happy… I finally found it!!! Paru is amazing and so friendly! She personalizes the experience for your eyebrow shape and gives suggestions on the best course of action to make your eyebrows look their best. Paru is definitely the fastest and least painful threader for a person like me with a low pain threshold.

I just moved from New York and leaving my threading girl was very had! But here exceeded my expectations my eyebrows! They came out amazing and the lady is so sweet and made me feel very comfortable! Will be back in a couple weeks for sure!

Authentic Indian market with an excellent threading shop inside but I do not shop at the market.
I come here for threading and she does a great job. $ 5 lip, $ 7 eyebrows last time I came
I asked for her recommendation for eyebrows and she said I should wait until my next visit. She could’ve just done them and charged me but she didn’t. I will keep coming back!

Since coming to SA my eyebrows have gone through one bad threader to the next. I found Paru from Unilocal reviews and I’m so happy I did! They came out perfect!!! Absolutely perfect! I’ve since recommended her and will be going back. Eyebrows are normally 7 $ but I used card so I paid 10 $ (without tip) which was totally fine!
As for the actual store, it’s a really great store. I just wish they had some cooked fresh food.

I finally found a threading place in SA! Paru (sp) was extremely nice and she did a fabulous job! Her station is inside a store that has products and foods from India or used in the Indian culture. Everyone was super friendly.
The price is right too! Eyebrow and upper lip cost $ 12 cash but since I paid with a credit card she charged me $ 15. Hey! That’s fine by me! Her prices are about the same that I paid in NYC and LA.
So glad I found a threading place thanks to my fellow Unilocalers and their positive reviews!
