This place has the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. I have made it a point to never spend another dollar at this place. I’ve always received subpar service from the staff here, but after my last visit, I will not go back. I didn’t know whether this kid was taking my order or trying to pick a fight with me. I was quite amazed.

Good sub joint. A lot of choices hot and cold sub wise. Quick and easy service. Nice alternative to the normal sandwich spots.

I loved to get Lenny’s after my workout, but last week I ordered a sandwich to go and then sat down. Time went by and then I realized that this was a long time for a sandwich. I looked at the counter and a young man looked at me and said«you had an order for Berk right?» I replied with a yes and he said«oh it’s been here» my order had obviously been sitting on the counter for quite a while the staff was playing around. I was not pleased with the service at all. Great sandwiches but next time I might consider somewhere else.

The food and service is always exceptional. The owner Chris is one of the nicest human beings I have had the pleasure of patronising his business. I the food quality is fresh, vibrant and you can easily tell the difference in the quality of ingredients.

Great food and fast service! The owner is super cool and very personable. I went there for cheat meal and because I had a Groupon certificate. After shopping I stopped in. The place was pristine and the owner brought my sandwich to me and called me by name. Great experience !

I couldn’t tell you much about the food because I walked out. I went on Thursday 12÷3÷15 at approximately 3pm. The guy behind the counter, Carlos, was absolutely rude. He and his partner(unsure of his name) both made it a point to make me feel as though my business was an inconvenience to them. I began my order, and after enough rudeness, told Carlos explicitly that I would be eating something else. Not surprisingly, he only looked back at me with a blank stare as I walked out. I went to the Lennys at 1604 and Bitters and was helped by a nice girl who was happy to be employed. Carlos and his buddy will likely still be in the food industry 15 years from now. However, probably as bus boys. I will never give my business to the Lenny’s in Alon Market. They were absolutely unprofessional.

First time at Lenny’s, going on a recommendation to try the cheese steak. The owner was there and what a super nice guy! He was working with his staff to make sure things, we’re getting done properly. The cheese steak comes with grilled onions on your choice of bread and in 3 different sizes. Having lived in NJ and PA, I’m kind of a hard sell when it comes to hoagies, especially a cheese steak so I was delightfully surprised. The meat had good flavor, nice melted cheese and soft fresh bread. I’ll be going back. Think next time I’ll try the French dip.

Hands down the worst sandwich I’ve ever had. I had what was a poor excuse for a French dip. The au jus was flavorless and the sandwich had no substance. I observed a handful of health code violations from the cashier not covering his face when he sneezed to every single person behind the counter on their cell phone. I was created by a disrespectful teenage who simply said ‘sup’ when I walked into the restaurant. I will not be returning no any Lenny’s location.

I wasn’t there, but my husband works next door at Christus Alon. He brought me home a salad that is really a meal. Very fresh ingredients: lettuce and grilled meat, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers and pickles, bell pepper, those small Italian peppers and melted cheese on top. Because I love them, the husband added jalapeños. As sides you get sunflower seeds and croutons and the dressing. The husband selected honey mustard, a pretty good choice. This is a large salad and quite tasty. Go there.

Excellent food here for a good price. The owner is here working often and is the kind of guy who comes around asking if everything is okay. I like Lenny’s but this is my favorite location because of the level of service you get here. My kids like it too so that’s always a plus.

Great new addition to the Lenny’s family. Long time fan and former employee. What can I say, I love Lenny’s. Great deli style subs and may I recommend the Philly cheesesteak! Usually made with Swiss American on the bottom and scooped they fold it into the meat so it rests in the center melted throughout every bite. Everything you could want after adding some signature hot pepper relish and mayo. Just my style. 4 stars because the inconsistency of ingredient adding and sandwich building is lacking. Limits sandwich taste, expense, and aesthetically not pleasing. Always a fan!

Great subs! I had the number 11(famous Philly cheese steak). Glad this area in San Antonio finally has this. It’s usually very quick, the food is pretty decent and it’s not that expensive. Way better than subway.

I tried Lenny’s a few months ago and although I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff, the food was unsatisfactory. I ordered the hot Italian and the bread ruined it for me. It was much too sweet and poor quality. This place has the potential to be so much better if they would just make better quality sandwiches with different bread. The staff and location is on point! The food, not so much… :/

I really really wanted to like this place based on the customer service. From the second I walked in the door I was greeted with a genuine smile, the employee behind the counter was extremely diligent in helping me choose one of the popular items on the menu. I ordered the hot Italian and it was ready within a couple minutes. It honestly makes me sad to say that i did not like my sandwich. The bread was poor quality, which I think was the biggest issue. I ordered the multigrain and it was extremely soft and had the texture of white bread you would get in a bag from the grocery store. Unfortunately the inside of the sandwich lacked the flavor to carry the team beyond the bad bread, it was too sweet for my taste. I was telling my brothers girlfriend about it later that day and she made the same comment; amazing customer service but unfortunate choice of bread. The location and employees are a hands down 5 out of 5, but the sandwich was 1 star based on my personal standards.

I’m making this update for one reason, my last meal from there. Friday night I went to Lenny’s to get a take out order for my family. None of us felt like cooking, and Lenny’s is a favorite sub shop of mine. I go in with my son and we place our order a classic for my wife, turkey for my son, and a Buffalo chicken for me. I pay for my order and within five minutes the bag is handed over and off we go. I get home and start taking the sandwiches out of the bag, and when I unwrap mine I notice that the telltale bright red-orange Buffalo sauce isn’t on my chicken. I’m bummed. I was really anticipating that tang that comes from a good Buffalo sauce, and the one Lenny’s uses is quite good. So I decided to give them a call and let them know my dissatisfaction. The person with which I spoke was sincerely apologetic that my order got misinputted, it was down as a regular chicken Philly instead of Buffalo and she offered to remake it for me. I told her I appreciate it but my family is already eating and I wasn’t up to running back over there. She said, «Well then here’s what I’ll do, I’ll leave a message for the GM tomorrow about this situation and he will call you.» I’m thinking to myself«yeah right» but I agree anyway and leave my contact info. Well long about 11AM on Saturday I get a call from Chris who is the manager. He is aware of the situation and and right off the bat he offers me a free Buffalo chicken the next time I’m there. He told me that my satisfaction as a customer is more important than a sandwich that he has to eat the costs on. I told him that this made me very happy and that I will continue to spread the word about what a great sub shoppe Lenny’s is. I also told him that I enjoyed my chicken Philly even if it wasn’t what I was wanting. I thanked him for handling the situation with such aplomb. The moral to this story is that sometimes even then places that are the most on it when it comes to order accuracy can make mistakes. We are all only human after all, and that it isn’t the mistake necessarily which keeps us from going back to a place, it is how the mistake is handled. Chris and his team handled this beautifully, and if they made this misstep right imagine what they are like when they are on point!

So friendly! From the second I walked int he door there were smiling faces. They made my sandwich just as I asked and brought to my table very quickly. They checked on me part way through my meal to make sure everything was okay. They even remembered my name as they said goodbye to me as I was leaving. My strongest recommendation is to get the spicy relish on whatever you order. Completely delishous!
