*Rudest staff I have ever met. They speak down to you like a child. They will speak in a real sweet voice and tell you how they are just waiting to hear back from corporate and they cant do anything to help you. For. Months. At. A. Time. So what good are these people? *Maintenance is a no show-Make me schedule myself to be there for them to come by. *Added pest control cost for no warning after being here 5 years *Haven’t even sprayed for pest control in months *Upped rent over $ 100 when lease was up *Take a drive around the whole propriety. See all of the storage, machines, etc they are using to make the front office and model apartment look good? All stored in the residence parking places. As if it wasn’t hard enough to find a place to park. *All of the extra money they are making by hiking up prices is going into the outer appearances to make it look like a great new place. Once your a resident, they don’t care about you or respect you as a human being.

I used to LOVE Oak Haven. Maintenance was great. They were always on top of everything! Office and management cared so much… they would always be so understanding and go out of their way to help you. Even when the parking lot was repainted in a terrible way they were still so apologetic. I can count only one time that a member of management had been rude in the 3 years I have lived here. Key phrase above is «used to love». Early summer, Oak Haven and its sister property was sold and bought by something like«Jackson Keller Management» or whatever. Since then, they fired the entire office and maintenance staff for both locations and replaced them with some of the WORST people I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They’re trying to transition to being named«Tivona Apartments» now and with a new name, comes a new horrible paint job! Maintenance: Can you say non-existent? Well, except for the renovation that they’re doing now in some recently vacated units. Then we know they exist because they leave their trash and empty boxes outside of the building all over the place! Other than that, I’ve placed three maintenance requests and have received zero response. Amenities: There’s a pool. Rumor that they want to remove the laundry room and put in a fitness center. A fitness center would be nice, but what about the smallest 1 bedrooms that don’t have WD connections? Otherwise, the apartment sports a nice basketball court. Parking: Parking is limited and nearly impossible to find a spot after 10 pm or so during the week. On the weekends parking is great until after 1 am. Traffic isn’t too bad once you get used to it and the complex has had minimal crime, but that might change with the new«Security» officers they have hired. Office Staff: Hi office people! Maybe you’re new to the entire«apartment staff» thing, but just because someone turns in their rent into the drop box after your business hours doesn’t mean you get to tack on late fees because your STAFF is keying in the information on the 4th. I guess they got enough complaints(I know my neighbors and other residents complained a heck of a lot about it!) because now they’re removing the drop box and demanding that people come in to drop off the rent in person. Rent slid under the door will not be accepted, so they say. So if you work a 8 – 5 job M-F or something similar with traffic, be prepared to have late fees stack up because their online website is glitchy and charges fees for each transaction. After receiving the initial notice via email, I contacted management and was told the late fee would not apply and would«take a few days to reflect on corporate end» or something like that. A few days ago, I recieved the tiniest envelope(4×2) with the tiniest pink slip inside of it telling me an amount to pay and the online account number. There wasnt even a reason listed as to the fees! Just«pay this ASAP». Stay shady Tivona. Has anyone driven by and seen the paint job by the way? It’s absolutely HORRIBLE and cheaply done. That seafoam is absolutely fluorescent when the sunlight hits it, but this is a personal distate. End note: The apartment used to be great. It isn’t anymore.

Here’s the sad thing; I wanted to give them five stars. I truly did. Management was great, they do a great job of maintaining the place, I loved my two-story loft and if I had any problems they got taken care of right away. My gripe? They put a regulation-sized basketball court right outside my apartment door and it has been a nightmare ever since. The kids are out there at all hours of the day and night and I DO mean night. If you like hearing a basketball game at 1:30 am, then this is the place for you. If you call security to get the kids to go home, they never show up. The complex and I worked out that they would have the gate to the court locked every night at 9:00. Yeah, that lasted about a week. It is with some sadness that I am moving out. I just can’t take the noise and the smell of marijuana wafting through my screen door when I want to sit with it open. So, if you like to be awakened at all hours of the day and night by kids playing basketball, smoking weed and playing their music then this is the place for you. It’s a great apartment complex and the two-story lofts are perfect for a single person but just remember to get the ones AWAY from the basketball court. One more complaint: an ARMY of leaf blowers descend upon the premises around 7;30 in the morning at least one day a week. I know it has to be done but 7:30INTHEMORNING!!! Seriously? Hate to go but, alas.
