Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt

This is my favorite orange leaf! Always clean, the employees are so sweet and they have great toppings here!
They always have pistachio (my personal favorite) which I love to mix graham cracker crumbles into! Their tart is also really creamy, not icy, and it’s just soooo good. They don’t change over the flavors as much as other places, but I like it because it’s reliable.
The pricing is high, but it is SO easy to get discounts. The first way is to join their membership program, I get about $ 2 off every time I go. Also, on the back of HEB receipts, there are 20% off coupons you can use in conjunction with your card! My mom and I have walked out only paying $ 4 for a total of 12 oz of yogurt!
I personally know the owner of this location, as his daughter went to school with my brother. He is a great guy who hires awesome employees and keeps the place in great condition!

Flavor selection was good, but the consistency of the yogurt could have been thicker to prevent melting so quickly. The customer service of the cashier was friendly, but unfortunately I wish they had a better selection of toppings– especially the fruit. I prefer Yogurtland! There isn’t much in the way of frozen yogurt around my house, but I’m not sure this location is worth the drive.

Great store. Nicely finished out and cool environment. Has a TV and pretty comfortable seating. Plenty of room to spread out. Will come back.

Absolutely the best Froyo place in town. Current and rotating flavor selections, a clean, contemporary and fun store, friendly and helpful management and staff, frequent buyer discount cards… this place has it all!

Super friendly staff. Super clean. Fun atmosphere to relax in. The froyo flavors are excellent!

Always busy. This place is spotless clean. Staff are friendly. They offer a military discount. Toppings are kept stacked high. Prices are way too high: $ 13 for four people to enjoy a treat! Lower prices would garner a 5-​star rating.

Fun little froyo place. Kids can create their own dessert concoctions. There are typically about 14 different types of frozen yogurt and a bar of toppings to choose from. When I have a craving for dessert, this place his the spot almost every time.

Tried this place out for the first time and I found it to be quite tasteless. I always get the plain yogurt at any frozen yogurt establishment but this one just lacked flavor. I also got more of a powder taste to it. I’d much rather eat at Red Mango or Peachwave. Those places taste the best to me. Also the pricing was rather high here than at the other places I chose to eat yogurt at.

Ok yogurt, but I may not go back — because it’s just that: ok. The frozen yogurt doesn’t taste quite right, compared to other establishments.
Plus, the variety of flavor is limited, in fact there were no non-​fat options. Hey, even satisfying your sweet tooth can appear to be healthy!
I’ll be waving as I drive by Orange Leaf as I head to a better one down the road. Sorry.

This Orange Leaf Yogurt location was where I lost my self-​serve yogurt innocence. I would compare it to Menchie’s, another fast-​growing yogurt chain.
Clean facilities and tasty yogurt with a variety of toppings, you can’t go wrong. However, Orange Leaf gets 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s a little pricey in comparison to other yogurt shops.

I don’t know what their secret ingredient is but I’m addicted to Orange Leaf :(

This location hates waffle cones… its the only explanation. Ive attempted this place 3 times because the drive to Huebner sucks. Each time my depressing waffle «cone» was gooey, soggy, bendy (stale), or hada weird taste. Yuck! Lets work on that OL!

With yogurt locations on every corner, we enjoy going to Orange Leaf. I chose to give a 4 star rating as I do not think this location differentiates itself from other yogurt shops in San Antonio. The pricing is a bit high, and it is easy to get carried away with toppings and flavors.
My wife and I really enjoyed the flavor offerings. I am typically a purist when it comes to ice cream and yogurt. I typically stick with vanilla, chocolate or cookies and cream. On this visit both my wife and I were shocked that we enjoyed the cotton candy flavor. As always I chose to combine flavors and a few toppings.
The restaurant is clean and trendy. The service is always good, and there are plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy yogurt without rushing.

Favorite place to grab a decently healthy desert. Best fast growing fro-​yo chain.
TARO flavor is my favorite. It wasn’t there the last time I went. WHERE DID IT GO?! Rotate it back in!!!

The frozen yogurt texture is icy and melts quickly. Overall it doesn’t live up to places like red mango and pinkberry. Not a fan of the self serve places as the flavors always seem to be sweeter and I like my fro yo tart. The price was pretty ridiculous too at 42 cents an ounce compared to yogurtland at 30 cents an ounce. However, the plain tart was good with a bit of pomegranate and they had a wide selection of toppings.
However my main complaint was that the tables were either too low or too high for the chairs. I had to straddle my table or my knees would hit and the other table came up to my chest. Also the key chain card size was huge, hardly smaller than the wallet size.
Overall this place was nothing special…

When I first visited Orange Leaf, I went on a froyo binge shortly thereafter. I visited at least once a week for about a month — trying lots of different flavors. My favorites were Lychee, pumpkin pie and the original tart flavor.
My biggest tip at Orange Leaf would be not to go crazy on the portion. Even the smaller size cup when filled up packs at least 300 calories regardless of flavor (and excluding toppings). I find that ½ of the small size is all I really need.

Maybe I’m not trendy enough to have ever heard the term «froyo» until just now, but I do know pseudo healthy things and Oreos go together quite well.
If you’ve ever been to Yogurt Planet in Austin, this place is identical. Who copied who? Dunno. But I’m thankful for both.

If you are a glutton for options, this is the place for you. There are close to a dozen flavors that you can choose from. I usually get the tart and another flavor of my choosing.
The tart is balanced and the texture is spot on.
I think they can improve on their toppings, but they do have a decent albeit generic selection. The pineapple chunks need to be diced smaller and the granola needs to be real granola.
Price is comparable to other froyo places in SA. The venue is sparse and trendy. There is a mix of teens and families mingling on the chairs.

A froyo shop is definitely a trendy place to visit these days. It’s a bit healthier than ice cream, and if you need a frozen treat, it’s definitely a better option. What you need though, in this age of 4 froyo shops per block, is a niche. Orange Leaf has a niche in SA.
This, as far as I know, is the only self-​serve yogurt joint in San Antonio. When I walked in, I’m sure my eyes were sparkling as I gazed across the futuristic Euro-​fancy design of the place to the maybe 16 different flavors of frozen yogurt. All were paired with a complementary flavor in its soft serve machine that you had the option to swirl together. Strawberry, lemon, orange, chocolate, original tart, cookies & cream… so many flavors. Since I’m indecisive and want ALL of the flavors, I restrained some and limited myself to only 3 flavors. I grabbed the small size (still too large) and squeezed out some red velvet, coffee, and low-​fat cheesecake (which, incidentally was delicious and not so low-​fat tasting).
Next was the toppings bar. I loaded up on mochi, since I love the mochi, and eyed the plentiful fresh fruit topping provided… which I skipped and went for chocolate chips and Teddy Grahams.
Beware, though — when it’s time to pay, you put your yogurt cup on the scale and pay by the pound. It’s so easy to overbuy since the «small» cups are so freaking large. In fact, that would be my only con of this place, that there isn’t a smaller «small» size.
Side note: on the underside of the spoons is printed that they’re biodegradable. Nice looking out for the planet, Orange Leaf!
