went to the palm in los angeles so i knew this place was going to be good. it is walking distance from the office and they had a hamburger special so we decided to try it out. we waited a bit longer than we should have for the host to seat us and that was unfortunate. once we did sit we had a great, attentive server. i opted for the wedge salad for my lunch and my coworkers tried the burger special. my salad was delish and reasonably priced. i like the décor in the restaurant too. will be back.

Pricey? Yes. But we had a party of 6, and EVERYTHING we ordered was outstanding. Appetizers, entrées, sides, dessert… All excellent. So, if you feel like splurging a bit, give it a shot.

Service was extremely slow. We were a party of 12 and it wasn’t very busy but our first drink order tool over 15 minutes. Meal was average at best. Won’t be returning

Always excellent service. I enjoy sitting on the outdoor patio with a martini, al a carte lobster tail and a salad(since I am usually a party of one!) However if I am with a group, the entire menu is amazing! Never disappointed even though it is a chain restaurant, this is an excellent location downtown SA.

Went for lunch, Disappointed that the rib eye isn’t available for lunch. I had the NY Strip($ 36) with a Capri salad($ 9). The strip was seared and cooked perfectly although over-seasoned with salt. I can say that the NY strip at Longhorn steakhouse has more flavor. The mozzarella and basil were good, but the beefsteak tomatoes were hard. The service was great. This is probably a good place for a romantic dinner, but it seems to be overly pretentious for lunch. A little over-rated for me.

I had the veal dish, which was in a red wine sauce and it was good but not amazing. I wasn’t quite in the mood for a steak, but this was the agreed upon dinner venue. The service was surprisingly slow that night despite the restaurant having only a few other tables. My table waited maybe 20 minutes just for menus to be brought to us.

Had a great dinner before heading to The Majestic for a show. They are always aware of your time on show nights and they make sure you enjoy your dinner and still make it to the show on time. I was torn between two entrées and the waiter made a delicious suggestion. He also made sure to get my 837 Club number. It’s one of my favorites and I’ll definitely be back again.

Steaks were excellent! Last time our NY strip was undercooked, but this time it was perfect. Staff was very hospitable and friendly. The creamed spinach was very good, as were the goat cheese whipped potatoes. They held on to our leftovers while we attended a concert across the street, which was really nice since it was so hot outside. Definitely a great place to go if you plan to attend a show at the Majestic theater.

Hmm, it is a beautiful place and the service is top notch. I went on a Sunday evening before attending Mamma Mia at the Majestic. I had Caesar salad and lobster bisque. Neither stood out.

This is a pretty good restaurant. You can get you a steak. You can get you a lobsta. Don’t nobody care. I got me some chicken pammerjohn and a salad called the sayzar salad. It’s called the sayzar salad because the person who invented was the mexican army man julio sayzar enrique iglesias chavez. And a cokecola. It was pretty good. Also too it’s a real fancy restaurant. We had us two waitresses. A boy waitress and a girl waitress. The girl waitress had a aminal drawed on her head behind her ear. I couldn’t tell if it was a horse or dog or donkey and i didn’t want to ask her cause she was real real serious.

Overpriced and the steak I ordered was inedible. Service was OK but they push you to join their 837 club to receive a discount on their HIGHLY overpriced wine. Do yourself a favor and keep walking down the street to LUKES. What a completely different dinning experience we had there. Amazing food and great service. We will never grace Palm with our presence again and I suggest you do the same, as there are other, much better options.

Servers Rudy & Patricia provided A-1 friendly, courteous, & responsive service, delivering a wide variety of delicious appetizers & entrees(mine was Swordfish Steak, my favorite — so well prepared/flavorful/succulent that spices were not needed), which enabled Host Jason & Hostess Laurel to promote discussion, exchange of ideas, humor, anecdotes, & camaraderie sought by professionals at the end of a long week. Go soon & often if you can.

We went here for my boyfriend’s birthday he’s been wanting to come here for years first let me say coming from out of town I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that you have to pay for everything separately, and not to mention charge $ 13 for a wedge salad that’s a hunk of lettuce a little bit of blue cheese dressing and bacon. He ordered the large filet and I ordered the crabcakes that tasted more like fishcakes and was extremely salty. The sautéed spinach was also very salty and the garlic was the side of being burned. I thought the locals would have much better taste than this place to give it such high ratings could’ve went to Bohannons even Texas roadhouse would’ve been better.

One star for good service, one star for an excellent wine list, one star for good portion size. Having explained the rating, I will now say that I was disappointed in The Palm. My expectations were certainly not met! My small Caesar Salad($ 9) was good. I ordered the Veal Martini, recommended by the waiter and a signature dish. The veal was tough and over cooked, the sauce was bland and a hodgepodge of meaningless vegetables. Creamed spinach was definitely creamy, but tasteless. Potatos au gratin were bland and tasted suspiciously processed! The bread was forgettable. Best part of the meal was the Wither Hills Sauvignon blanc. For a $ 100 meal, I was expecting a savory meal, at least. I will not return to this restaurant– there are better places to eat downtown!

Food was amazing! Service was even better! If you have the option, ask to sit in OJ’s section! Fantastic server! Started with Lobster bisque soup, then creamed spinach, 3 cheese potatoes au gratin, steamed asparagus, then topped it off with a 3 lbs lobster and a 14 oz NY Strip! Everything was cooked to perfection, served in a very timely manor and again, can’t say enough about the staff. Definitely my new exclusive steak diner for the SA area!

Being a blue collar kind of guy, upscale steakhouses aren’t somewhere I usually go. I was at a convention and the engineering firm was paying, so off we go! Being a table of 12, they ordered 5 or 6 appetizers, all delicious. A $ 54 steak had better be good. Melt in your mouth delicious would have to be my description. Large sides were served that would serve 3 or 4. Dessert was house made donut holes with 3 dipping sauces. A great meal and experience. Staff was fantastic.

I made reservations for my anniversary here and I wasn’t disappointed. For appetizer we had perfectly cooked scallops, so good we even ate the garnish on the plate. We decided to share the 32oz NY Strip and a Lobster. The steak was fantastic but the lobster really shined through. This was the BEST lobster I have ever had, the flavor was HUGE and there was tons of meat in our lobster. For a side we ordered the fries which were amazing as well, very well season, with again TONS of flavor. For dessert we had key lime pie and the fresh donuts, while the key lime pie was amazing, the donuts stole the show accompanied by chocolate and fruit sauce. AMAZING. The service was up to par as well, made sure everything was fine, drinks always full and provided the best recommendations. The Palm made for a great anniversary!

First off this is the Palm, a higher end chain steakhouse, so if you are expecting low prices, keep walking. My husband and I decided to stop in for happy hour on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. We had a good experience at the Palm in Philly so we were expecting a similar experience here. Plus it was right next to our hotel. We sat at the bar and service there was quite good. The bartenders were friendly, attentive and quick to bring us our food and drinks. We decided this time to try the happy hour snacks rather than ordering steaks to keep the costs down as we had been dining out every night while in San Antonio. We ordered a variety of happy hour treats; the lobster tempura which I had loved in Philly, lobster sliders, steakburger sliders and the cottage fries which were essentially thick cut chips. We had the parmesan chips which were served with a blue cheese sauce for dipping — these were excellent, crisp and tasty. The lobster tempura was not as crisp as I remembered. It was better in Philly. The sliders, both the lobster and steak, were unremarkable with too much bun and not enough flavor. While we had an enjoyable evening with good service and a nice atmosphere, the price paid for the food could not be justified even at happy hour prices. If I were to visit again, I would stick with the regular menu items rather than trying to make a meal out of snacks. Lesson learned.

I had a retirement party with a guest list of 52 for private dinning! The staff, the menu, the wine and beer were outstanding! My many thanks to my friend Lane and to the dinner coordinator Melanie for making my party a total success! My guest raved about the décor, the ambiance, the steaks and fish, the desserts, the asparagus and potatoes! The staff saw to my every guest’s desire! Thank you Palm for making one of my most important goals a highly remarkable milestone celebration!
