Ordered here for lunch for the first time yesterday. I ordered sesame chicken with fried rice and egg roll. Everything was good, I tasted a lot of ginger in my food which wasn’t bad just not common with other Chinese food places. Prices were decent but for lunch specials but its just a .50 cent difference from the dinner specials. I wish they delivered! This would be so convenient and better than the place that delivers to my job.

Service is very bad here. We didn’t get our food until after 20 minutes food was burnt. Mention how bad the service was no silverware. Manager says oh busy. But only couple tables were full pretty much empty. If you want nasty food bad service come here. I would recommend Pengs on bandera food is excellent and staff very friendly and great service. Go out of their way to accommodate you.

Got an order to go. When I almost finished my lunch. I either tasted cream cheese or snot. The fact that I have to second guess it makes me want to hurl. Never going back.

We eat here often now that we live on this side if town. I haven’t been dissapointed by their food yet, and we always end up with leftovers, since the servings are so large.

I have been bringing my family to this restaraunt for many many years. The food is great. The portions are sharable. The prices are super reasonable. Jenny the owner is a very nice lady. I know what I am getting when I come here. The kids think this is the best egg drop soup in town and they can’t get enough of the duck sauce. I do know there is MSG in the food. One of my guests had to ask about that once. I’m not a big fan of the restrooms. They are okay for the purpose they serve but using them is not a pleasant experience. I bring friends here for lunch and I’ll likely continue as a patron for many years to come.

It was my first time eating here for lunch. It was busy, but after I received my food twenty minutes had passed and my waiter did not come back to my table. I had to flag down the manager just to refill my ice tea. When I mentioned that I was disappointed with the service, she smiled, apologized and said it was busy. Wrong answer. The restrooms were dingy and smelly too. I’m definitely not coming back.

First time trying this place. I ordered a lemon chicken and mongloian beef with fried rice dinner. The rice was way too soggy, i couldn’t eat more than the first taste. The mongolian beef was spicy but lacked flavor. The lemon chicken was cooked perfectly and the lemon sauce was good. Overall, I wont be going back to this place ever again. If you love chinese food, dont try this place.

Used to come here for years because the food was always great. But the last times I’ve gone, I’ve gotten semi cooked chicken, so haven’t really gone back. The iced tea has always been horrible so don’t even bother getting it.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for about 3 months now with family and co workers as well. The food was always good but I have always been leery about the place. The place could use some better cleaning. I don’t like how they have the tea pre-served. I WILLNEVERBECOMINGBACKTOTHISPLACEAGAIN after what happen to me today(1÷18÷2014) a few of my co workers & I visted for lunch, while eating my egg drop soup a small MOUSE came out from under the table running around all over the place of course so shocked I screamed there was a mouse as everyone witnessed it the staff were so calm about it as if it happens all the time. We never got an apology NOTHING. NEVERWILL I GOBACK. SODISGUSTING!!!

This is my favorite Chinese place to grab food. I actually think their service is pretty awesome. Cashier was upbeat and very hospitable. Food is always hot and fresh. It taste very authentic. Not fatty at all. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The food is okay. We’ve eaten here a couple of times and the food can either be hit or miss. The sweet and sour chicken, shrimp and pork are all over breaded and greasy. The fried rice is delicious but that’s about it. In addition the last time we order from them my husband found some questionable stuff in his soup so we won’t be going back.

I’ve been coming to Peng’s for over 15 years, that in itself is saying something, I have tried other Chinese Restaurants in San Antonio, but this has to be hands down the best Chinese Lunch. The portions are great and you wont spend more then 7 dollars, the services is a bit odd depending on what waiter you get, but like any place you go to after awhile it gets better. I’ve taken co workers for years to this place and never disappoints, a true gem.

I dined here a month ago and wasn’t too impressed. Waitstaff is incompetent when I tried to ask a simple question. The meal I ordered, beef and brocolli, had a weird taste. It’s not on my top Chinese restaurants in S.A. Maybe I went on an off day, who knows? I should’ve went to Fortune Cookie or Chopsticks instead. I will not return.

Went here for a quick lunch during work and was very satisfied! for $ 6.50 got a lunch special entrée, rice, iced tea, and crab rangoon or egg roll! Both I and my friend(who spent 3 months in China) were very happy with the meal. I got Broccoli and Beef and she got a shrimp dish. We were both happy with our choices. Service was great and let us do separate checks. Wasn’t very busy for a quick weekday lunch.

I stopped by Peng’s this week because I was completely congested and I thought hot & sour soup for lunch would cure what ailed me. This restaurant is close to where I work, so it is a convenient place for me to grab non-chain, non-mega-buffet Chinese. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and the soup was just what the doctor ordered: lots of tofu and just the right balance of spice and tang. I look forward to trying Peng’s again.

Food is always on point. Food is always out fast, even during the lunch rush. I have been going there for about 10 years. This place has a huge following. A big neighborhood hit.

The food here: excellent. HOWEVER The service: awful. I’ve never had issues with their food. No doubt, it’s pretty good. But man, you have gotta go through some major attitude in order to get to it! When you order over the phone, they rush you(yes, I understand it can get busy but to hang up before you could say anything else? I had to call back and tell the chick I wasn’t finished yet!)… When you go in for lunch, they look at you like you’re a bother. I tried saying thank you to the people who checked my ticket on the way out and they just nodded their head and just mumbled ‘yeah yeah’ and took off. There’s no excuse for it really. I don’t care how freakin busy you are…
