Robert N. Young, M.D. FACS

Dr Young was a huge mistake! Two Drs with two different practices work under the same roof, same phone number, and front end staff. I was actually calling for a Dr Lawton however when I called they asked me «which Dr? „I thought maybe they worked together since it was the same phone number so I said“ which ever has the soonest opening for a consultation» This was a big mistake on my part. When I went into the office for my appointment I waited over an hour. I guess he was behind because it reflected in his consultation and attitude. By the way I have seen 9 Drs over the course of a couple months so I have a good idea of what to expect during a consult. I always take my daughter with me to all my appointments. I have never run into any issues until Young. Once I was finally able to see him he did the unthinkable. Honest truth here people. I have nothing to gain by writing this review. I am hoping someone will learn from my mistake. Usually when you go for a consult for a mommy makeover they ask you to undress except underwear and put a robe on. Well in this case the nurse was having me try on implant sizes so I had a bra and panties on. So Young started with info on the tummy tuck and we discussed very quickly. He did a terrible job of asking me questions like my goals etc. He just talk a little bit about where the scar will be and thats about it. Then he said «lets move onto the breasts». I opened my robe and was about to take off the bra. Instead of letting me expose myself to him he stuck his hands down my bra and whipped out my boob. Take it from me. None of the 9 other Drs I met did that. I think he did it because he was in a hurry and he is just used to touching breasts but what about my feelings as the patient? Its a terrible way to conduct business. I have no problem showing my naked body off but on my terms. I dont want to be rushed or manhandled. He was also not very nice to my daughter. She is 18 months old so she likes going through my purse. He just kept looking at her as tho he was annoyed. At one point I said «O I am sorry I will clean it but before I leave» Usually most people say «Don’t worry about it. it’s okay» ooo no he just looked at my daughter like a bug or something. Anyways I highly recommend you do not waste your time with him. He is extremely old and rude.

Doctor do not explain about down time or side effect for surgery if you do not ask. he came the room with wife or old lady (could be a one of nurse) She care about herself, she was looking mirror all the time while I am counseling. They charging too much. Thank god, I got see different doctors.

The worst experience of my life I paid this man a lot of money and I’m no where near satisfied with my breast and on top of it all he didn’t open my left pocket wide enough no one of my breast is higher then it’s supposed to be nd it’s harder bad I went to another breast doctor they said I have 2 different types of implants fucking terrible

The worst nightmare of my entire life. Besides death of a woman on the operating table…(it was on the San Antonio news) within three months of that, he left me with extreme disfigurement. I have a deep hole in my chest on one breast, and he cut off my nipple and areola. The other side barely closed and I lost my nipple. He told lie after lie. The last lie, was where he failed to discuss with me, or inform me either before or after that when he took my implants out, he put one in that he found in the office during the surgery. I did not find out until many months later when it showed up by an Aurora Breast MRI. We confronted him and then he admitted to it after the fact. He offered to cut me open in the office and slip it out. This man is not someone you want to give your money to, or entrust your body to for any reason. Rest assured I will not go away. This truth with all the gory details in photos will be revealed on national television, in a blog and in a book. If you put yourself in his hands, don’t say you weren’t warned. I really wish I could leave a positive review, but when a business completely destroys your life and doesn’t care, then I believe that business practices should be put out there for others to make more informed decisions before they put themselves in the hands of someone who has the potential to harm them. Sure you will find a lot of beautifully written reviews out there, but if the Majority rules over the truth then something is really wrong. You are smart enough to understand that it is a piece of cake for businesses to have people write lovely reviews.
If you are thinking of having plastic surgery, it is so important to research as much as you can. I sincerely hope Unilocal keeps this posted to be fair and to help even just one person from going through the nightmare I did. I understand that there are businesses that can be paid to erase all negative reviews for different companies.
Be warned, that plastic surgery can be very dangerous and is not to be taken lightly. Love yourself as you are.

If you want huge boobs, this doctor is for you. I had breast augmentation three years ago and have been miserable ever since. I am a 5ft tall, small framed gal in my fifties. I have always had very small breasts, barely an «A» cup. I finally decided to take the plunge and have the surgery. Money was always an issue, hence the lateness in life. I never saw the doctor prior to surgery until just before going into the surgery suite. I was seen by an RN who showed me three different implants to choose from. It’s really hard to tell by a lay person how the implant will look after it is implanted. I specifically told the nurse that I wanted to be a full «B» size. My goal was not to go overboard. I just wanted to be able to fit & look better in my clothes. I could not believe it when I realized some time after my surgery that I was a full «C» cup. I always figured a plastic surgeon would use common sense and some artistic gauging to improve their patients’ appearance, not to mention abide by their patients’ wishes. In addition, Dr. Young mistook my left breast for my smaller breast and made it larger, causing it to bulge to the side out of my bra. It looks bad in a bathing suit and is always uncomfortable. The large breasts are out of proportion with my body and make me miserable in the hot, humid summers of San Antonio. I have since heard that Dr. Young is known as «the big boob doctor.» When I brought my dissatisfaction to his attention he blew me off.
