These guys know what they’re talking about. They have high quality running shoes here and know what shoe fits you best. They’re very informative and so helpful here. This was my first time here. I usually go to some store at the mall for shoes where they usually don’t know anything about shoes. I went here because my boyfriend told me how great they were. I’m thoroughly impressed and don’t think I’ll go anywhere else in the future. Eric was a great help and made for a great shopping experience. Highly recommend this place!

Bought some new running shoes. After 23-mile runs, I hated them as they kept bother my shins. Although I bought them on sale and there was a «all sales final,» they allowed me to exchange them for a different brand and pay the difference. Service is always super and they are very helpful. Definitely my go-to-store for running shoes.

Went to the store based on the reviews I saw on Unilocal. They were absolutely awesome. I ran all through middle school and high school but needed to stop in college due to shin splints(or compartment syndrome, you get the gist). I switched to cycling but no longer have enough time in the day to cycle so I really need to be able to run again. The staff looked at my shoes, walk, run, etc and really seemed to know what they were talking about(I’m in the medical field, and they definitely weren’t throwing jargon around like some other places). In fact, they actually suggested that my shoes might have been over correcting my(over)pronation, resulting in some of the pain I was feeling. The staff watched me run in a variety of shoes, suggested a great pair(so excited to be back in new balances), and the price was the same as that available anywhere on the internet.

I run a marathon or half marathon about once a month. So, I buy a lot of running shoes. My experience at Roger Soler’s is always great. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about running and sports. They are real athletes themselves and it shows. The process for purchasing a shoe at Roger Soler’s is a lengthy one. Your salesperson will take the proper time to determine your shoe needs(like your stride, your gate, your pronation, etc) and help you find the proper product. They’ll also talk shop with you and help you find races(which the store sponsors several each year) or running groups, or nutrition classes. All of this extra attention(and sometimes extra cost) pays off when you are running in a shoe with the proper support and saving yourself unnecessary blisters and injuries. They also have a selection of running gear. I tend to shop less expensive places for this part of my running wardrobe. I feel like the shoe is the most important thing to me so I’ll splurge there and save other areas when I can. But, if you don’t have that mindset, shop away!!! There’s plenty to choose from and they do seem to have regular and good sales. Also, tip: If you’re coming to purchase running shoes, wear comfortable clothes. They will actually let you take the shoes for a jog before you purchase to make sure they work!

I don’t only love Roger Soler and his experienced team of running shoe enthusiasts, I love the fact that Roger Soler comes up with at least 5 runs a year for San Antonio to partake in. The store is a bit small, but never too busy for someone that is looking for the right shoe. I have been to their location several times and I am always welcomed with energy. It is a buzzing business. Roger Soler wants people to get out and do his races so he offers many discounts when you participate in the 5K’s around the city. Show an interest in running and here is 10% off. I would say that is a great deal! I can’t say I buy my shoes here every 6 months, but I am tempted to. It is only because I know exactly what shoe fits me now that Roger Soler comes in a close 2nd to Academy. Man, chains just kill the buzz…
