A good option if near the Medical Center/1604−10 area. I had the vegetarian 8″ pizza along with a side order of garlic bread. Both came out quickly and were still very hot from the oven. Service here was friendly and fast, we probably waited 10 minutes for our food. The restaurant itself and its bathroom were both clean. When in the area I will visit again.

I love Rome’s so much. The owners are so sweet! I think my favorite pizza is the roasted garlic rosemary chicken, with a little bit of salt, pepper and some of the herb oil sprinkled on top.

I had the Lasagna and my husband had the Panini with sausage both dishes were really good. Plus some cheesy bread. Make sure you go with an appetite because the portions are large and most likely you’ll end up coming home with some left overs. Our waiter(John) was friendly and attentive, kept us informed of the status of our order. He ensured that we had something to drink at all times. The restaurant was nice and clean. Will definitely go there again.

Unfortunately, no Roman orgies were taking place at said imperial brothel. Lucky for me I ordered a steamy calzone with a gooey center(¬‿¬)

I’m sure this place is probably bomb. I was visiting from out of town the person who took my order told me an hour. I was ok with that. Problem is that it took two hours. Gyro was ok barley warm and soggy bc of the time that had elapsed. No fork for my salad.(In hotel room didn’t have plastic ware) poor service as I am sure the food is probably good when fresh. They needed to comp my meal. I still gave the deliver driver a good tip on the $ 25 minimum deliver order. Horrible service.

Recently treated my sons to Rome’s Pizza. Many standard favorites, but for me, «The Four Tenors» pizza with fresh mozzarella & gorgonza cheese, roasted pine nuts & peppered crust, simply The Best!!! No other place in town offers the same unique pizzas, if you just want meat lovers, or the traditional puzzas(like my hubby) you can get that too!

I’ve been back several times to Rome’s Pizza and have grown to like it. My primary dislike is the crust, it is a bit too thick for me, however, that is only personal preference. The large pizzas are of good size, and service is always fast and friendly.

My favorite gourmet pizza spot in San Antonio! Make a pizza any style and I know you will enjoy it! P. S. The banana peppers in vinegar are an awesome addition to any pizza!

I gotta start by saying that I love pizza, of all shapes and sizes! And because of that, I consider myself kind of a pizza«connoisseur», and sometimes can get a little too picky when it comes to my favorite food… pizza! Well, Rome’s pizza did not disappointed me! We order a classic pepperoni pizza with double and cheese, and all I have to say is… OHMYSWEETCHEESUS! The flavor of the mozzarella they use for their pizza is amazing! Also, the tomato sauce in the pizza, was so flavorful and natural… you could taste the fresh tomatoes in every bite. And something that made my experience even better was their banana peppers! I have to admit that I was a little unsure about the peppers at the beginning… but after trying a couple I couldn’t stop! They are SOADDICTIVE! I also have to add, that their service was great! The woman at the counter was extremely nice, and very welcoming.

I worked in a NY style pizza place in high school and can admit I’m a bit of a critique when it comes to non-chain pizza places(we all understand the chains are the fast food of Italian so don’t expect much from them). My boyfriend’s parents ran one when he was younger and he grew up cooking the food so he’s very particular. It’s been a while since I’ve seen two things in particular — a pizza NOT skimpy on good toppings and a calzone WITHOUT sauce in it. For whatever reason, people seem to think a calzone should have sauce inside — which is NOT the traditional way in my experience. My review as follows: Greek Salad: it was meh at best… Iceberg lettuce completely turns me off from any salad Calzone Classico: would definitely order this one again. We subbed the ham for meatballs without an issue and it came out well cooked and the sauce on the side compliments it well. Chicken Picatta Pizza: this is the first pizza in San Antonio my boyfriend said he’d order again! While the dough was nothing to write home about, the middle wasn’t doughy and it was PACKED with toppings… Overall, I’d definitely eat here again but would hold off from ordering the salads… Thanks Rome’s!

I ordered delivery here and it was good. They made a few mistakes with my first order but every time since then has been better and the staff has always been very nice. Order from here they’re good.

Go to Rome’s Pizza for a bite? Nah. Not with so many other pizzerias around. I ordered pizza from this place on one occasion and wouldn’t go again. Others seem to like it, but the food just wasn’t aligned with my tastes. I particularly couldn’t stand the pizza crust. Seemed too light for me, without any substance. That might be a preference for some, just not for me. Didn’t love the sauce or cheese either. *sigh* On a positive note, the restaurant is clean and would be a good spot for either a casual date or a family outing. Definitely try Rome’s if you’re new to town, just to form your own opinion. Who knows, you may like it more than me.

Normally, a great place, but they had a really bad night tonight. The shrimp Alfredo lacked any sauce. It was more liked buttered penne topped with shrimp. They said it’s their version of the dish, and offered to remake it when we asked if they had the right order. But, as a real, I don’t ever send my food back. Then, my gyro took at least 35 minutes to arrive. We had to go to the counter and ask for it. After the long wait, it arrived, but I was disappointed to find the pizza crust wrapper was brittle and dry, and the gyro almost no tzaziki sauce. It wasn’t as tasty as I’d hoped it would be. This was not a good visit. I’ll take a break for a while. At least until they get their act together.

I have to say this pizza place is actually delicious! I went here Saturday night with a friend around 7 and it wasn’t terribly busy. We ordered the 12″ for 1 – 2 people and it was a great size for 2 people. We ordered the Rome’s Deluxe with pepperoni, black olives, mushrooms, and green bell peppers and it was very tasty. The ingredients were fresh the dough/crust of the pizza was light and not too airy. The only complaints I have is the outside seating area is close to the front door so if there are people smoking you get hit with a smog of cigarette smoke and the waiter that night on duty didn’t seem to know who should receive what order even though after you pay you get a number. Other than that great pizza, beats delivery, cheaper than delivery($ 14 was the total) and super yummy!

Pretty good place. The place is nice and clean and the food is fresh and tasty. There’s a trade off for the freshness. If you put in a short order item, you may have to wait a little while. This is not a huge deal unless you’re on lunch break. Stick to what they’re serving for lunch and you should be fine.

Great pizza. Love the variety in choices and that they deliver. The sauté and peppered steak pizzas are my favorite!
