Wonderful food. It’s like home away from home. We always feel welcome and get personalized service from Luis the owner. Amazing sopapillas. They are so light and flaky.

Must try their borracho beans ! I ordered their Mini Tacos al Pastor and although they looked marinated and tasty they were great but not yet the best I have had. They come with borracho beans and that my friend was a mouthful of tasty bacon, jalapeño and bean yumminess. I’d come back to try other items.

Love this place! This place would be 5 stars but the queso is 2 stars. Great little Mexican restaurant in the strip mall off Bandera. Ate the best, biggest burrito if my life there. Only made about a third in actually. Should of split one but I’m prideful. Love the staff here too, very sweet and attentive. You could tell they have«regulars». Yummy chips and salsa. The only thing I don’t love here is the queso! It’s nearly terrible. It tasted like thinned Velveeta. I dumped my salsa into it and it was much improved. I recommend this place when you just want a big olé, smothered burrito and a smile.

Delicious food and great service! Made our food just the way we wanted! And they don’t get mad if you want breakfast in the afternoon. We will be back!

I ordered a bunch of breakfast tacos for my coworkers one day and picked them up on my way in. I only had to wait a few minutes. Price was good, about on par with other places in the area. Everyone loved the tacos! They were well made and not over/under stuffed, and had good flavor. Also really enjoyed the salsa.

I went to get a hair cut at Lonestar and saw a guy walk in and deliver tacos to the barber. Sabor just happens to be next door. I could feel myself getting hungrier just looking at those beautiful breakfast tacos sitting on the counter. I finally broke and went next door and ordered 2 barbacoa tacos and told them I was waiting on a haircut next door. No problem, they would just deliver them to me when they were done. They turned out to be fantastic and honestly I was regretting not getting 3.

A great find. Authentic Mexican food. Menudo is not greasy, cleaned well. l and good flavor without being too spicy. The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is always clean.

Food was good! However my tortillas tasted like the fridge! Baking soda people! Also was told couldn’t have chips and salsa because their tortillas don’t come in until tomorrow and they need to save what they have for the entrees! Obviously not home made! When you say authentic tortillas are very important in Mexican cuisine! I’m disappointed, I drove across town for nothing out of the ordinary!

Super impressed with this small joint. We are from NY and are very much used to diners. They aren’t any here, but this place reminds us of home. The service is great and the food is even better. Our daughter loves tacos, and this was close to home so we tried it out– and we LOVE it! The beans are top notch, the best we have had here. My picky son loves the pancakes. LOVEIT!

Tried this place out since my family and I were in the mood for some mexican food. We ate there on a Sunday, and it was nice and quiet. My wife ordered a burrito and a bowl of menudo. My son ordered the bean and cheese, and I ordered the cubana torta. All of our meals came out nice and warm. The flavor was on point not to salty or over powering. The atmosphere was very colorful, nice and clean. This place is very casual and kid friendly. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star was because the tortilla for my wife’s burrito tasted store bought, unlike my son’s breakfast bean and cheese his tortilla smelled and tasted like it was homemade. I would definitely go back again and I would also recommend this place to my friends.

This place is exactly what I was hoping it to be. Delicious authentic Mexican food at a great price with great staff. The owner is a true professional, and even took my order himself. Love the atmosphere, and can’t wait to come back.

Quality breakfast experience. We really like this place, the owner is very personable. After complimenting him on the deco, he graciously gave all the credit to his wife. The food is good and the price is right, the atmosphere though… very thoughtful for a new place, they even have tableside purse hangers. The last time we were there they were even giving a discount for FB check-ins. Must try at least once. They are not open for dinner but that might change soon. SABORCOCINAMEXICANA, thank you for your attention to detail.

Great food and customer service. I like that they feature local art on the walls. Also they have a TV that is actually at a reasonable volume.

This place is awesome. They served us even though they were closing in 15 minutes. We were unaware they close early on Sunday’s but they made us feel welcome and were very friendly. Ordered mini tacos, which were good. My friend ordered a carnitas burrito and it was the best burrito I ever tasted. I will be coming back to try other things on the menu.

In a city teeming with Mexican restaurants, how can one establishment truly stand out from the herd? Well, «Sabor! Cocina Mexicana» on the far northwest side of San Antonio has found a way to do just that. Like the uniquely woven tree bark tapestry hidden amidst many other fine pieces of décor on the walls of this establishment, «Sabor! Cocina Mexicana» holds a veritable array of secrets behind its humble façade. A microcosm of Mexican flavor, «Sabor!» stands as one of the last strongholds for culturally creative cuisine in the city. Upon entering the establishment, you find yourself immersed within an environment reminiscent of old town Mexico. While seated, the courteous and friendly waitstaff tends to your every beck and call, promptly transforming your every desire into a delicious reality. If, however, you find yourself unphased by the staff’s friendly demeanor and the restaurant’s arresting interior, then you will surely be swayed by their sultry, yet scrumptious, menu offerings. Featuring such favorites as menudo, caldo, and tortas, even the most finicky foodie will find themselves unable to resist«Sabor’s» many seductions. I would be remiss to say that I’ve tried better menudo in this city. Sabor’s offering makes you feel like authentic menudo should: devinely delighted and deliriously in love. If you find yourself in the Far Northwest region of town, you would be doing yourself a serious disservice not to indulge in their traditional Mexican selections. Likewise, if you find yourself in the south side of town, the outskirts of Austin, or the deco district of Dallas, you would still be missing out on what could ultimately be a life-changing milestone in your culinary existence. Take a risk. Be somebody. Taste Sabor!

This little family-owned spot is right around the corner so, naturally we had to check it out. Father and son work the front of house and they are kind as can be. Location is clean and inviting, staff is friendly and attentive without being creepy, and the tacos are PHENOMENAL. Excellent barbacoa and asada tacos! Try the red salsa… soooooo good. We hit this place up almost every other day!

Read the Unilocal reviews and decided to give this place a try, greeted and seated immediately, food was made to order and came out nice and hot, checked in with Unilocal and got a 20 percent coupon, the owner/chef came out and greeted us after our food came out and we discussed Unilocal!!!My favorite topic, after we paid and was ready to leave they came out with freshly made sopapillas, even though I was on a diet these were to delicious to pass up. Can’t wait till next time.

Sabor(in a city of tex-mex and taquerias) has menu originality, kind and friendly service, exceptional food, great suburban location, and a unique salsa that stands out with flavor, not just a «heat rating«. Central Mexican recipes represented on the menu plus some other regional variations. Coffee. De coty coffee, land o lakes mini moos, sweet-n– low,(no equal or Splenda.) Coke products, no alcohol. Tacos. Average size tortillas, well filled, eggs properly scrambled(not rubber, or milky.) Burrito is enormous, and savory. Original menu items include breakfast tortas, extensive list of burritos . Many uses of ham, pierna, milanesa, cubana, asada, seafood, carnitas, and habanero. 2 tvs at low volume on ESPN Wifi available password given when requested(not a guesser) Yay for something delicious and a little different. Kitchen open 6:30 am-3:30 pm 7days

This is the first time I’ve visited this restaurant. We stopped in on a whim, and enjoyed our experience. My parents, both of which are extremely picky, also loved it here. Great food, fantastic service, good prices. Will definitely be coming back.
