This place is the worst hotel restaurant I have ever experienced. Walked in and no one acknowledged us to find a seat for 10 + mins. While standing there waiting, I saw two servers running around in complete chaos and restaurant had less than 10 people in it. Don’t waste your time and patience with this place.

I have been wanting to try this place but now I realize I should have checked here first. Service was absolutely horrible. They forgot to put my order in and I think they forgot my app as well. It took at least ten minutes to get a beer and about thirty for chips and salsa. My burger came out way after everyone else was done. Food was mediocre at best, salsa was below mediocre and all of it was way overpriced.

If you like to be treated rude by the waiter this is the place Mando was the rudest waiter I have seen in a long time. We were trying to make our order for breakfast and he would cut us off in mid sentence. Acted as if he had more important things to do than take our order He is rude and lack s any Custer met service skills. Eat here at your own risk

I live down the street from this place and was looking for a good sports bar to hang out at. I gave this place a chance several times and they were consistently slow and lacked enough help and poorly managed.

Great place to enjoy happy hour. Walked in and immediately ordered 2 shots of Jameson and 2 Bud Lights. total after 2.50 tip was $ 25. Not bad prices. Bartender was happy to be there and the regulars i sat next to were helpful as well. Larry thanks for the tip about Twin Pks. Didn’t try any food. Enjoyed my crisp beer with a friend and headed out to get dinner.

Service is extremely slow. Food is mediocre at best. The queso was basically the nacho cheese from a can. My crispy chicken salad was basic, more like frozen crispy chicken strips. My sons pizza looked like a frozen pizza from the store. Look for another place if you’re wanting food and mixed drinks.

This place is horrible, the bartenders are unfriendly and don’t know how to make simple drinks. The management seems as if they don’t care and also tipsy. I see this place and continue to drive away.

Like stopping by this place to avoid traffic after work nice bar with a great selection of draft beers and a full service bar. They have a tv in every direction you can look and pretty much every game you want to watch. I’ve even caught some of the UFC fights here but I’m not too sure how often they show them… The bar is located inside a really nice holiday inn. They also have a good happy hour and a good food menu selection. Keep it going guys good job!

Yikes! I travel frequently and know hotel bars cost more, cool. The food wasn’t priced too badly — probably because, let’s face it, it’s a holiday inn — but thank goodness it wasn’t pricey because it was AWFUL!!! How do you mess up grilled chicken? Oh, probably if the grilled chicken was already grilled then frozen; gross! Next, the drinks. ONLYBUYBEER!!! At least then you’re guaranteed to get some alcohol with your drink. I’m small and it takes two beers and I’m tipsy. I had FOUR absolut and vodkas because they tasted like just pure sprite and I sure didn’t even get warm like I do when I have a drink. They charged $ 20 for a tall absolut sprite and I still didn’t taste or feel anything. Who knows, maybe my liver decided to man up since I don’t drink much!!! Ooooor they really just water down the drinks. Just don’t. Go order a pizza and buy a bottle of something from the store… it’ll taste better and it will save you an extra $ 40.

An hour and a half wait on food??? Seriously!!! What world are you living in where that is acceptable? The restaurant is not that big and I am sure everything is being defrosted and heated through so there is no way the wait should be that long. Didn’t even wait after hearing that. Looks like pretzels and water in the hotel room tonight. Seriously disappointed!!!

Hostess not friendly, food is bad. Sad because this could be a fun restaurant at this location. Beer had a bug in it… seriously a bug.

I was visiting San Antonio for a work trip and stayed at this hotel. I had dinner and a few beers at the bar and grill, and they were just ok. I had the chicken fried steak dinner which was way overpriced for the quality, it was average nothing worth what they charge. As for the draft beer, it was a bit higher than I’ve had in most places in Houston. If I were to stay at this hotel again, I would rather visit the many restaurants and other establishments a few exits before this hotel.

I just had one of the worst food, service and atmosphere experiences that I have had in a long, long time! You would think that in today’s economy, that restaurants and hotels would pay a little more attention to detail! I ordered the Rib Eye steak dinner(highly recommended by the bartender) mashed potatoes and a coke. To say the least, it was H O R R I B L E ! Not only did my dinner arrive 30 minutes after I ordered, but the bartender told me that my steak was frozen(it had to be thawed out) and he had to send it back. It tasted like cardboard. I was also told that the mashed potatoes were made fresh daily. Unfortunately, I received French fries with my dinner and asked the bartender about my mashed potatoes. He went back to the kitchen and brought my mashed potatoes out five minutes later. I now realize this was a mistake in asking for the mashed potatoes as they tasted like they were a week old and not made fresh as I was told by the bartender. You would think that getting a coke would be the easy part! Nope! I had to ask the bartender for my coke twice. I finished my coke midway through my meal and was hoping for a refill. The bartender was too busy talking to a person a few booths away and did not even come over to check on me until my meal was almost finished. I was thirsty, but did not care as I just wanted to get my check so I cold head back up to my hotel room. The sad thing is that I am here on business every month and decided to try a new hotel in the area.(I usually stay at the Courtyard Marriott up the street.). My company is in the process of building a new campus in the area and going to need the use of a hotel in the area. Unfortunately, I will not be recommending the Holiday Inn in the future. The Marriott will be getting my business from here on out. Sorry Holiday Inn(West San Antonio) you just loss a new customer and many future customers! And Congratulations Courtyard Marriott in Westover Hills as you will be getting all of my future business. I hope no one has to eat at the Sporting News Bar and Grill or stay at the Holiday Inn/Sea World. It is the worst! If I could give it 0 stars, I would!

It’s pricey, but it’s a hotel bar so that’s to be expected. I have been here a couple of times and it’s always the same guy tending the bar. He is a nice enough guy and he knows how to make anything you ask for. If I lived in that neighborhood or if I were a tourist that needed a few minutes away from the wife and kids after a day at Sea World, this would be the place for me.

Sea World area revelers rejoice!!! We have a new bar to hang out at. It’s a hotel bar at the new Holiday Inn on 151 and Military, but what the hell it has a great long bar to sit at and about 14 different tap selections. The liquor selection is good too. I even saw a bottle of Booker’s which almost no one ever has. Inside you have a warm brown and orange soothing interior with cushioned bar stools around the crescent shaped bar. You also have plenty of high pub tables surrounding the bar as well as booths to dine in or for larger groups. The patio has numerous tables and chairs for enjoying a great Texas fall afternoon. All of the area, inside and out, is lined with LCD screens galore broadcasting sports and I’m sure whatever else you would like a set to be tuned to. Happy Hour, I’m told, runs Mon. — Fri. and offers $ 1.50 all 16 oz. and 23 oz. drafts which only run $ 3.50 to $ 5.50 anyway. Finally! Now we can cease our mourning of Shitkickers, er I mean The Stockyards. See ya there. First round’s on you.
