The servers at this Starbucks seem a little uppity to me. I prefer the Babcock location. This last trip, I received a real sloppy frappuccino that left my hands and car a sticky mess. Thanks Starbucks for not giving me a napkin.

I use the drive thru 99% of the time the inside is super busy in the mornings hence I almost never go inside. They actually have made me some decent Latte macchiatos with the right amount of foam. Some say this is a good study Starbucks, I guess that would depend on your study style. If you don’t mind distractions and noise then sure because they are open late and it’s conveniently located in the medical center.

I always come to this location when I have appointments in the medical center. It’s busy so coffee is fresh and staff is used to working at a fast pace. The usual Starbucks menu. I love the breakfast sandwiches, not too crazy about the wrap though. sandwiches include chicken salad with bacon, egg salad, turkey and harvarti. All great tasting. Get the Starbucks app and you’ll get occasional coupons for discounted items… Got $ 1 off breakfast sandwich, and sometimes specials after 2pm. Also free app downloads of games, music. Starbucks is pricey if you come several times a week, but tell friends and family to give you gift cards for your birthday Overall I love Starbucks !!!

I have frequented this Starbucks for 3 years now for two key reasons: 1.) When I need to study HARD and I need to stay out late and cram, I come here because it stays open til 2AM. 2.) It’s freezing so I don’t get sleepy and I’m uncomfortable enough to study even though i’m cold and miserable. SOLAYERUP! Bottom line: This place is flooded by medical students and nurses but it does the job if you’re looking for a late night atmosphere to grind out some work.

I have a love/hate relationship with this location being that it’s the nearest Starbucks in my area. What I love about this is the hours. Being that it’s in the medical center, it caters to everyone from students to patients it’s the busiest Starbucks you’ll be at. That is why I’m giving it 4 stars. I’ve been though both ordering in and at the drive thru and it take forever to get your drink. There’s a reason why there’s a drive thru for QUICK service. Other than that I love the menu they carry especially the Teavana teas. Parking is very small and at times may have to park at Chick or Chipotle. Beware of entering the coffee shop because you will hardly find any spaces to sit since it’s occupied by UTHSCSA students. The service is good and staff is very friendly. Tables are somewhat clean and may have to ask a barista to wipe it off.

Update: So after coming here frequently and seeing the same baristas over and over, they have been consistently getting my order right. I always want an Americano, 2 pumps of espresso, no room. Not a difficult drink. But a lot of places get it wrong. You guys — use the mobile order and pay. So, so easy! It always takes half the estimated wait time(I order around 1−2pm… Never early morning). When I enter the door, my drink is usually waiting on the counter. The baristas are really nice. If they don’t know something they take time to find out for me. A lot of people study here but it is too packed for me. There are always a lot of students. It’s packed in the mornings. Don’t bother going through the drive through. You’ll be in line for a very long time. It easier to spend the few minutes at home making your own coffee.

Alright y’all, now before you continue reading this review there are a few things I feel obligated to point out before you start throwing some shade with my tea. I feel like Bill Clinton when he gave a public comment about his affair with Monica Lewinsky(we can joke about that now right?) 1)Yes I know it’s not local; however, if I was in Seattle this would be a justified argument… 2) No I’m not wearing Uggs, «boots with the fur» as quoted by T-Pain, or an oversized t-shirt 3) I don’t think I’m basic besides wanting to always wear black and grey 4) I understand I’m supporting a major national chain which doesn’t happen often as I promise y’all my preferences are local coffee joints as they have some kick ass tea combinations 5)Their wifi connection though… Now that the judgment is hopefully lessened and I won’t be lynched for reviewing a Starbucks, I’ll attempt to explain why, this Starbucks, stands out for me. —— I, a night owl, sometimes have trouble sleeping and feel compelled to utilize my insomnia and instead of working out, which I should, would rather do some work that I can knock out. Taking a quick trip here around 9:00/10:00pm is always nice as they stay open till 1am and it allows me a few hours of complete bliss to do some work *cough cough* ok more like listen to music and attempt to do work. This location is fairly large and has plenty of seating options inside or outside from bar seating to plush leather couches. Now I will admit that I am a true wi-fi digger and will flirt with an establishment by purchasing a few drinks in order to abuse and re-use their wi-fi connection. It’s just how can I explain it– too good to be true. We all know those places that offer free wi-fi but once too many people log onto it, it feels like you’re waiting for that infamous AOL screen connection hoping you’re compatible and hear the«You’ve Got Mail» ding. If it makes y’all feel better I’m a tea drinker and only spend a few bucks! So yes I, Tomas R, enjoy this particular Starbucks location for their hospitality and wi-fi connection. «Noted and Stamped on August 13, 2015*

This place seems to only hire bunch of high school/college employees that can’t seem to make drinks right. I’ve been going to this Starbucks for months since it is on the way to my work but they really need to hire better staff. When I asked for light ice, they filled up half of the cup. When I asked for light crème, they poured and poured until you couldn’t tell the difference whether I ordered coffee or milk. When I asked for vanilla syrup, they put hazelnut instead. When I told them I was redeeming my reward BEFORE I ordered, they charged me and gave me a lecture about how I needed to tell the cashier before. The list goes on and on.

This location gets SLAMMED in the mornings. A word of advice: avoid the parking that runs along the side of the building as you will end up getting blocked in and have to wait. Service in the morning is MUCH slower than in the evenings. I was told Starbucks employees get free coffee during their shift — maybe someone should make sure the morning staff is aware of this policy and encourage them to utilize this«benefit.» As a suggestion: this location should go back to being 24⁄7! Where else am I supposed to get quality coffee from? Anyone that suggests McDonalds/McCafe should slap themselves.

Here is how this ‘bucks works. The people working the day shift totally suck. Sorry, but it is true. Not sure why, but have noticed they are consistently rude and can’t make a drink right. Have always had bad experiences when grabbing coffee before 5pm here for some reason. The folks at night are simply amazing and it seems like they literally know half the people who come in. They have a bunch of regulars and you always see med students/students in general studying. I even have seen people(strangers) asking other patrons to explain homework from chemistry and calculus, to pharma. Pretty cool group of patrons and employees on the night side. They do keep it stupid cold, bring a hoodie. The music is not loud compared to other places who purposely crank the music up(I’m looking at you Starbucks on babcock) and proceed to get bent over asking to turn it down. Night crew gets 5 stars, day crew gets –2.

On average the music is too loud and the inside too small and busy for me to read or study. In one instance two people were yelling at each other and causing a scene and the staff did nothing. I use the drive through, which is always perfect.

I have been to this location before but the goal of this visit was to see if they had the San Antonio«You are here collection» coffee mug. This standalone store is pretty much new and has plenty of parking. The inside is very nice and clean. I looked for the mug and a staff member helped but found out they were all sold out for Christmas. He told me they should be restocked in a week or two. Since I was there I went ahead and got a tall Pikes and then headed out.

My favorite Stbx! Have always had great drinks and friendly baristas. Cannot complain, I’ve been to several others and they do not compare. If it wasn’t in such a busy location, I would probably go more often.

I Miss the days of 24⁄7 Starbucks love when it made sa feel one step closer to becoming a mini Austin. But you can’t blame the staff for the business so in that regard my experience do vary from drive thru to walk in this place never seems empty long and while I don’t always get a smile from my barista they hold true to service and in some cases go above & beyond. Today for instance a gentleman I assume to be manager level or somewhere in that realm gave me a free pumpkin muffin after raving it me as I stared hungrily at the offerings like a lion to lamb… No breakfast does funny things to be. When I professed a hesitation towards pumpkin«flavoured» items and offered to trust his word on its yummy level he decidedly charged me for just my expensive customized espresso drink and gifted me a taste test of an item without the regret of spending on an unknown flavor. Im glad as I wasn’t as fond of it as he seems to be but I acknowledged long ago my palette to be far more snobbish than most. The cream cheese isn’t all the way down so it really is best eaten in large bites from the middle so each bit has all the textures together every time. Since I dissected mine the cream cheese«muffin top» was OK but I didn’t like the textured(pumpkin seeds?) on top and the overall flavor was sweet but the bottom was spiced pumpkin and with my drink it didn’t sit well as I would have liked. The(manager?) Made sure to inquire about my experience and though I gave him«bad news» about our compatibility(the muffin and I, not the manager), he was still smiles and personality. Exactly who should be supervising a «upbeat» coffee house with a reputation to protect/maintain. While I wish they had more floor walkers to clean up, I honestly place the blame on the customers to lazy to throw away their trash, conveniently located on each side of the main entrance(recycle next to the patio entrance is nice but I bet they get more trash then recyclables in that container). Overall yeah my experience city’s have been better but the combination of my choices and others disrespect for public areas is more to blame than the Starbucks itself.

Where everybody knows my name! Well, at least the coffee I drink. I frequent this Starbucks often enough most of the baristas know my drink. I suppose I should mix it up on them one of these days! As always, I love Starbucks, I can get a venti, quad, skinny, 6 pump, sugar free vanilla, light ice with whip the same at every Starbucks I go to! They are known for being consistent, fast and friendly staff and make great drinks! I have been frequenting Starbucks for YEARS and never once had to complain about anything.

A Starbucks is a Starbucks is a Starbucks. Uniformity rules for this chain. But you know exactly what you are going to get at any of their 8 billion locations. For some this is important.
