Taqueria Mi. Guanajuato

Today I came here for the first time. Co-​workers had raved about the food and lunch specials, so I decided to give it a try. Decent little place. Frankly, very dumpy on the outside, but the interior is clean and welcoming enough. I ordered huevos rancheros, over medium, with potatoes, beans and bacon. All were good, and the ranchero sauce, which I asked for on the side, was just the way I like it: a bit soupy, not chunky like lots of places make it. Homemade corn tortillas were a little over browned for my taste, but that’s just me. I like mine to be almost untoasted. All in all, this is a good hole in the wall. They have a taco special from 6am to 10am for their more basic breakfast tacos, 3 for $ 2.49, which is great deal, especially since you can mix and match, which a lot of places don’t allow for their specials. Come with an open mind about this place and see now you like the food and friendly wait staff. Don’t be put off by the exterior!
