Reminds me of the good old days at Taco Hut off Pleasanton Rd. Delicious bean and guacamole cups and mini tacos. Clean place, friendly service. Use to go in the 60’s to Taco Hut. Mr and Mrs Pizzinni the original owners were great people. Worked right down the street. Sorry they closed the one on Hot Wells but glad they gave recipes to family.

Best Tex-Mex! The puffy tacos, guacamole cup and a bean roll are incredible! My husband loves the enchiladas! Haven’t been able to get past my favorites, but I’d bet everything else is super good too!

I love going to Teka-Molina for their bean cups and guacamole cups, which is basically a corn tortilla soft shell filled with bean and cheese or with guacamole. They are delicious and hit the spot, especially when you aren’t hungry for a full meal.

Authentic, fast mexican food from a family owned company. Yum. We had cheese enchiladas, bean cup and puffy taco. All were yummy and we will be back!

Pretty decent restaurant. I have yet to come and eat lunch here. But the breakfast tacos are good. The pan dulce is a nice touch.

Teka Molino has been around for a long time. Very good homemade food. The guacamole cup and bean and cheese cup for some of my favorites here and it is what they are known for and probably the only place in town to get these. Their two salsas are also very good.

Had to try a new place near where I work. I was pleasantly surprised! Ordered at the walk up counter, and was offered free basket of chips. The chips were fresh tasting, but a little on the hard side. The drink station is in the dining area, along with a self serve green and red salsa station. My lunch was delivered to the table and was the carne guisada platter with refried beans, rice, and two flour tortillas(corn was an option as well). The carne guisada was very good! A light gravy, nicely seasoned to a perfect heat. The flour tortillas came out wrapped in foil and really hot. They were a little on the super flat, tough to bite through side, but tasted good. I’ll try the corn tortillas next time. I’ll definitely be back to try the puffy tacos everyone is raving about!

the excellent puffy taco I had the first visit wasn’t around for the second. It feel apart as soon as I touched it… it was wet and dissatisfying. this makes me sad… I really wanted that yummy comfort goodness. Monday night is enchilada plate special. Hubby enjoyed them.

Came here for breakfast; very tasty & a family friendly place! The prices are reasonable and there’s a good selection of choices. I had the chilaquiles, which were great but a bit on the salty side. The breakfast tacos looked good. The coffee was surprisingly great. They have a large selection of Mexican cookies. My favorite has always been sprinkle and this one did not disappoint. The inside is spacious and there’s a large patio area. This is a great place to get some tacos with the whole family, for a good price. I’ll be back to try their lunch & dinner options.

Wonderful Sunday brunch spot for family. Excellent food and one of the friendliest staffs in town. Our little family of four really enjoyed it.

Had lunch here today with a friend. The food was to my liking. Not spicy at all. I had a few bean and cheese nachos, guacamole bowl in a small edible bowl and a taquito plate. I enjoyed everything. My only down point was that the water wasn’t that great tasting as it came out of lemonade spigot. If you are in the mood for some tex mex that’s not über spicy I recommend them. If you are looking for a bit of spice this might not hit your spot.

I don’t know how many people know this in SA, but this place started as the Taco Hut on the South side of San Antonio, in the neighborhood where my wife and I grew up. People would line up there when I was a kid for the bean cups and tiny tacos. And from as far back as I can remember, those bean cups and tacos were awesome! No, this is not some foodie version of puffed tacos… go to Los Barrios or Henry’s Puffy Tacos if you want variety. These are just plain good small puffed tacos with a small roll of meat in the bottom topped with shredded lettuce and chopped tomato. They are great! When I was 10 years old(50 years ago) I would line up at the door of the Taco Hut on the South side with enough spare change to buy a couple of bean cups and tacos and would be happy as a clam with what I got! My wife and I both have some very happy memories of that place from when we were kids, and long before we ever met. We were so happy when we discovered Teka Molina on San Pedro was the reincarnation of the old Taco Hut with the same menu of items and same flavors from our childhood! We were also glad to find that they now have a location in the Fort Sam area! My wife’s dad and a couple of her grandparents are buried at the Fort Sam Houston Cemetery just down the road on Harry Wurzbach. So, when we go visit the graves, we stop afterwards for a quick treat of nickel tacos and bean cups. This time we even took our two oldest grandchildren to pass on the tradition! LOVEYOUTEKAMOLINA!!!

Food was good nothing great, I ordered the Puffy Taco plate. Thought a side of rice and beans was standard but instead got a bean roll and guaca cup. Felt a little pricey for what I got. Restrooms were clean, service was friendly and food came out quickly.

We flew in from San Francisco for a family wedding and we had to have our Teka Molino fix. Puffy tacos were as good as always and the guacamole cups were as well. I love the chunks of potato in the beef tacos… yummy! If you’re ever in San Antonio, do yourself a favor and go to Teka Molino!

Stopped with the wife for an early dinner. She had the enchilada plate. I had the caldo and the number 15. The service was great. The food was excellent. I’ve been here a few times, always left satisfied.

Their bean rolls are the essence of synergy. Two simple, unassuming ingredients, including a freshly made corn tortilla and refried beans are put together, and it is just an awesome bite of food. I always love it when something so simple can be so satisfying. All of the other items on the menu are pretty solid, but I have to say the mole is a little too sweet. Definitely try the puffy tacos. It is also one of the better spots in town for breakfast tacos. Both locations are equally as good.

This place was fast, friendly and the food was great. I work very close so I will definately be in again. They have red and green sauce which are both great. The green sauce was spicier. The drinks and sauces are self serve which is nice because you can get in and get out fast. They bring your food to your table but after that, you’re on your own. They also have Big Red! I got the daily special(chalupas) and they gave me a cookie. This will be a regular spot for me.

Two words: puffy tacos. Try them out. You won’t be disappointed! I’ve been here twice for lunch. It’s not crowded and they’re pretty fast.
