Go see Leslie! She’s awesome! I went in for a bikini wax and was so nervous and she talked me through the whole thing. The lady at the front desk was really sweet! Very professional ladies who will take very good care of you. Thanks Leslie for a great wax and I do plan on coming back

Had my first appointment there a few weeks ago with Holly. She was fabulous. I have rebooked with her and look forward to my services from her. She is patient with me and was extreamly friendly and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend this place and I recommend Holly.

Second time customer now, but I plan on being a regular. I’ve seen both Anabel and Kirsten, very lovely ladies! I felt very at ease with them, the facility is clean, front desk is very nice. Love this place.

EXTREMELY disappointed with my service. I had an appointment but had to wait 45 minutes because the customer before me was very late. While I was waiting the staff was very unprofessional, making bets about co-​workers being late and placing online clothing orders. No one really apologized for the wait. When I FINALLY got into my appointment, the cerologist forgot what I had asked for and removed everything! Some people may like that style but it doesn’t suit me and now I just have to wait for it to grow back. The receptionist said a manager would contact me about the incident but a week has passed and I haven’t heard anything. Never had such a terrible experience at a place like this!

I visited waxing the city based on the great reviews and im glad I did. Leslie did a wonderful job. My eyebrows have never looked so good. I have already scheduled an appointment for next month.

DO NOT GO HERE! The staff does not know what they are doing and do not listen to you during the consultation. They totally fucked up my eyebrows. No one should go here.

Melissa is the BEST. Love this salon excellent service every time. They really take their time with you and I never felt rushed. 5star service.

I was able to get a same day appointment. The hot wax that they use is less painful than other waxes I have experienced. Ellen was very friendly and made the whole experience pretty easy.

I just moved to San Antonio & had a great experience with Leslie! She took the time to explain everything she was doing. I wanted to keep the shape of my brows & she kept it right while also helping me learn how to grow them in even better. I am looking forward to the progress of my brows! They were all friendly & the music was great !

Customer service was great — I was promptly greeted and felt welcomed. The facility was clean and the décor was modern. Even the location was great (love that Trader Joes is in the same plaza). Even though I loved everything about Waxing the City, I could not say the same about my brows, which is what my rating is based on.
Don’t get me wrong, my cerogist was super sweet and friendly! I told her I am very picky about who I go to and haven’t gone to someone other than my aunt in years, because they always make my brows too thin. But my birthday is coming up and I wanted to do something nice for myself. I also figured since thick brows are more trendy it’s likely I’d get what I want. I was really excited after seeing the reviews and photos from other clients. She sympathized with me and proceeded to work on my brows. I noticed she was plucking for a long time from the top of my brows, but I had read from other reviews that the appointment often takes longer than expected because they are so meticulous. I figured she was working her magic. When she was done I could tell immediately that they were too thin and too arched for me, but I didn’t have the heart to tell her I didn’t like them. I thought maybe they needed to be brushed and filled even though I was told she was going to clean them up so that they would have that «done» look when I wake up.
My right brow looks fine (albeit slightly too thin and arched) but my left brow is very patchy and uneven. I have to fill it in every day now. I really wanted to like this place especially with the superb reviews, but I’m really disappointed with the results.

So I made an appointment same day for eyebrow tweeting and tint, all I can say is I am impressed! I have always had a difficult time with my eyebrows and they were in an always growing out stage. Kristen did a fantastic job and took her time with me, I am beyond grateful. I am so glad I listened to the previous reviews and tried this place out. I will be back again in about a month for eyebrow tint and eyelash tint. Highly recommend!

I went today for the first time. Everything was super clean and the staff was friendly and professional. I had my eyebrows shaped and tinted and my lashes tinted. Ellen did a great job and explained exactly what she was doing as she went. It was very relaxing. I already booked my next appointment!

Best brazilian in SA! I was really apprehensive to find a new EVERYTHING after moving here, especially when it comes to my downtown business, but I am so happy I found this place via Unilocal!It is perfect. Clean, modern ambiance, friendly customer service both at the front desk & by the estheticians, easy to make & readily available appointments, & standard pricing (it’s a no tipping salon). What more could you want?!

I finally decided to get my eyebrows waxed for the first time ever, and after careful research, I came upon Waxing the City. I made my appointment with Tori based off the awesome reviews by other Unilocalers, and she definitely knows what she’s doing. She knew immediately that I was all for a «natural» look, but just cleaned and shaped them up a bit. She is extremely nice and welcoming, highly recommend her. The place is very clean and modern looking, I loved the orange accents.

Wow. I’m not sure what else to say.
For starters: the studio is very clean, visually appealing, and comfortable from the minute you walk in.
Do yourself a favor and book an appointment. It’s fast, easy, and you can do it online. Saves you the hassle and I made mine within a two hour notice. I was even called when tori was done with her prior appointment to let me know I could come early if it worked for me!
Tori did my eyebrows. I have never had waxing done before — usually threading — but she sure set the standard very hi! She has a lot of enthusiasm and loves her job. She cares about the service she gives and how you look.
I will definitely never consider getting threaded again — waxing is the way to go! Hell, I might even consider flying out to San Antonio (I live in Las Vegas) each time just to see tori!

I wasn’t planning on buying into this strictly 5 Star review theme, but this place was so great! It’s also a No Tip salon, which sets a great mood for expected service. Booked my appointments online, confirmed them via an email. Arrived to one quick page of information about my skin & met my Cerologist Denise. She was perfect for me, an experienced sassy lady.
I had my lower legs waxed, and she chatted me through it. So painless! She then explained in good detail what to expect for my first Brazilian & walked me through it. I cracked a lot of jokes, then we mostly talked about my dogs. I feel so bad for the people I’ve read about having these horrible waxing experiences because, while it was my first Brazilian, it was honestly so nice! They do very small sections for low pain & are not rushed at all. Went ahead and also got my brows/​lip done. Brow game is strong.
They are giving 50% off a service for your first visit, and since I had three services done here I expected it to be half off my brows. Most places would give the discount on the lowest item. Not here! Half off the highest priced service! I got my lower legs, entire downstairs & face done for $ 97! Woo hoo! I look great for my vacation & I seriously plan on returning. I went to waxing the city and the place was so clean. The lady at the front desk was really sweet even though I was ten minutes late, I filled out a quick form and was taken in right away.
Tori worked with me really well, she was super sweet and got the job done quickly! And with the least amount of pain too!
I’m not sure if it’s the wax they use but hands down it was the best experience I’ve had with waxing. The small amount of pain lasted literally two seconds and my session was done in about 25 minutes.
I definitely recommend this place and go with Tori!
