We really enjoyed planning our wedding at ZaZa, they are responsive and easy to work with and it’s like having a totally blank slate to work with. They helped us with vendor recommendations as well. I definitely suggest hiring a wedding coordinator with this venue though since there will inevitably be so many moving pieces!

I just booked Zaza Gardens and I am so excited to work with Amanda! From the moment I reached out to Amanda to see the venue she was responsive and wonderful to work with! Go see this venue if you want a botanical rustic feel. It’s gorgeous and they have some awesome enhancements coming to the venue as well. I am so excited to plan my wedding here and see it all unfold in the next year!

I am never a fan of posting unfavored reviews online, but after my best friend(and bride) was treated so poorly, I must speak up. I am appalled at how we were treated by ZaZa Gardens and the staff who work there. 1) They never responded to 4 separate emails and multiple phone calls made by my bride to simply contact the facility to set up a visit. THATSHOULDNEVERBEHARD. She was incredibly eager to book this venue as it looks like a gem. 2) 100% lack of professionalism. Short responses. Never knowing their own schedule. It is clear they are not managing this venue at all. 3) No management. They double-booked our visit twice and never acknowledged it. When we arrived to the location, we were dismissed yet again. We were double booked and the contact on-site was incredibly rude and just stated«we were not put on the schedule» even though our email chain clearly shows the confirmation. So she turned, and dismissed my bride as she continued with her other couple. 4) Discourteous. Without ANY clear answers. My bride, her mother, and fiancé were standing there waiting to see if anyone would help them. The contact on site basically told them she couldn’t help them — so they left. When you are looking at a venue for a WEDDING — you want to be greeted and treated well, because lets face it – WEARETHECUSTOMER. And every bride wants to have an experience when they arrive to a venue. It should be a fun experience, not one of chasing the venue and staff down who seem to forget what they say or email to potential customers. That is not our job. ZaZa Gardens lacks customer service, professionalism at every level, and clearly do not have the bride, their family, or guests in mind at all. This is very unfortunate for such a beautiful facility. Please wise up before thinking about this venue for a wedding.

We had our wedding here this summer. When we signed our contract we met a lovely and friendly young woman who was more than happy to help. Unfortunately, she left and was replaced by someone who has little to no customer service skills. Their new management ideas included discarding the old contract and at every turn they attempted to hold us to a new contract that we had neither received a copy of or ever signed. I should have been suspicious when in one of our first conversations she told me that only my wedding planner should contact her. Needless to say, this«new» contract bit they tried to pull caused multiple problems for me and my wedding planner throughout the months leading up to the wedding. While these were not easy things to ignore, it doesn’t begin to compare with their latest ridiculousness(and our wedding was 8 weeks ago). The a/c was not turned on for us on the night of the rehearsal and I do not feel it properly cooled the space on Saturday either. At around 9:30 on the day of our wedding, the women’s bathroom stopped working. One of the crew hired by my wedding planner had to stand at the door of the men’s room to ensure no men and women entered at the same time. Then, the toilets in the mens room stopped working and there were no functional toilets in the facilities. Many of our guests left because they had to use the bathroom. This was obviously upsetting. What is more upsetting is that neither my planner or myself received any contact from ZaZa about the situation. When my planner pressed them about it, it took three weeks and her showing up announced to get information. When she did she was surprised to find out that they intend holding us financially responsible for a busted pipe. Wow. So even though we are 8 weeks out for our wedding, we will continue to deal with stress and drama from this venue. Despite the beauty and uniqueness of this venue, I do not recommend it at all. It sad, because it truly is a hidden gem in San Antonio.
