This NY Pizza is not the greatest, I order from the Palo Alto one consistently and in comparison, the San Carlos location is sub-par. The first and last time I ordered from here, the toppings were correct but it was extremely soggy, plus it was only 3 toppings on a large so its not like it had«too many toppings to cook well,» which has happened to me before at another pizza place. All in all, I’m going to stick with solely ordering from the Palo Alto location.

An hour and a half for one mini pizza… that arrived cold. And man, do they ever skimp on the toppings. The spinach was invisible, and the ricotta barely visible. Definitely not what I was looking for…

Came here on a weekday from opening until 11:44AM and I was the only soul in the house. Weird. But this place ain’t so bad. Pricier than I was expecting for fast food — $ 8.99+tax for a 1-topper + salad + canned soda — but that pizza is a pretty big motherfucker, and the soda choices at least include Sierra Mist(real sugar FTW). The pizza’s taste quality falls comfortably within«kinda good» territory. It took an eternity to come out(15 mins?) but at least the employees are chill. Yeah, a pretty even mix of virtues and vices. 3 stars is about right.

When my husband and I moved to Belmont it took a while for us to find a pizza place we both liked. This seemed to be the place for the first couple years we were here. Last night was the last time with this company. Took a hour and 20 minutes to get our food and they are only 2 miles down the road. If you like cold, soggy pizza than this is the place. Also, have quite the stomach ache this morning. Would never recommend this place to anyone nowadsys.

I’ve had enough poorly made pizza… YOU’REFIRED!!! My wife and me have been ordering from here for over 2 years. They had great pizza! Now it’s garbage… We order a pizza for delivery tonight. The guy says 45 minutes or less. Well an hour and 15 minutes is what it took to get our cold pizza. And it had more bell peppers than cheese on it. Wtf are you thinking with less cheese than bell peppers! We will not be getting another pizza from them. This is not the first time they have given us a poorly made pizza… But it will be the last. I do not recommend ordering from them.

What an experience, we waited 2.5 hours for our food. When they finally brought it it was missing an entrée and what was brought to us wasn’t even made correctly when we called to complain they stated that we were lying and did bring it to us long story short they provide terrible customer service and from the looks of what food they did bring us they’re cooks need more experience. we got our money back and settled for what else was open. happy new year everyone

It’s a solid, standard pizza place. I ordered a combo pizza to-go and I was a little surprised by it’s hole in the wall appearance but the pizza was ready and the service was fast. The large pizza can easily feed 3 people and there were leftovers for a fourth person. It might become my go-to takeout pizza place.

Ordered 2 medium gluten free pizzas. Costs over $ 50 and they say 45 minutes. After over an hour the pizzas finally show up, and they aren’t hot. We have kids over who have been crying for pizza since we ordered for it to arrive at their lunch time. The gluten free crust isn’t very good. Very crumbly. Part of one pizza has fallen off the paper they out it on making it pretty destroyed. The vegan pizza we ordered is mostly sauce. Not very good. We won’t order from here again. They didn’t even apologize for being late, and when I called to ask where the pizza was, was told within 5 minutes but it was more like 10. Expensive, bad quality, bad service. And now we all got sick! Food poisoning.

i hadn’t had pizza in ages, so hubby and i came here for a quick lunch on a saturday afternoon before tackling our weekend errands. parking was pretty easy as we scored a space right outside the storefront on busy el camino real. since it was a little after 2pm, not many customers were inside the small-ish dining area, which was good for us! i ordered a slice of the pesto shrimp pizza and hubby ordered one of the special combos of the day, which consisted of a beef gyro, caesar salad, and can of soda. total bill? a little over $ 15, including tax. pretty good for san carlos in this day and age! it was about a 15 minute for our food, but when it was ready, our waitress brought our food out, mine in a box(guess they forgot that i was dining in) and hubby’s on a tray. my king kong slice of pizza was cut in half b/c it really was quite a large slice. had i not run for 2 hours earlier that morning, i probably would not have been able to finish it all! the slice had just the right mix of shrimp, onions, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, garlic and pesto. deee-licious! i didn’t get to try any of my husband’s gyro wrap or salad, but he said that it was just ok. he actually wished that he’d gotten a slice of pizza for himself, esp after he saw how big my slice was! next time… there is a one unisex restroom in the back, to the rear of the kitchen. there are a couple of flat screen tvs mounted high up on the wall, with a remote for the customers. other than that, there really isn’t any ambiance, but if you’re coming here, it really should just be for the pizza b/c that really hit the spot for me.

My workplace caters in chicken salad and pizza from this place. I’ve had their Hawaiian, Combo, All Meat, Chipotle, BBQ Chicken, and Garlic Chicken. The classics such as All Meat, Combo, and Hawaiian — are pretty standard and OK. The Chipotle was«interesting» to say the least, and not something that I would ordered. When I had the BBQ Chicken, the chicken was dry! Though I don’t eat it every single week, I like it for what it is, and just grab my favorite once in awhile — Vegetarian. Second favorite would have to be Garlic Chicken. Ya know why they’er my faves? It’s got the thin crust with the soft middle portion of the pie that is unable to withstand the weight of the ingredients; and with the Vegetarian, the texture of the toppings is soft enough to complement the(soft and droopy) pizza dough; I like the Garlic Chicken because it’s got white sauce on it! Salad is also pretty standard with iceburg lettuce, green bell peppers, sliced tomatos, and pre-packaged diced chicken. If pizza weren’t catered in, I’d prob never make it to this joint, though this is a catered lunch hosted by my company, so that makes it all worth it.

I used to come here and order from here several times a month. When I did, I was surprised, because I generally don’t even try a restaurant with a name like theirs. I immediately fell in love with their pizza. This was about 5 years ago. It was amazing! Something changed after about 2 – 3 years of enjoying their food. Now, it’s barely better than Papa John’s. There is often an excessive amount of dried flour on the crust and the pizza is usually a bit under-cooked. Everything on their menu went from being exceptional, to being mediocre. The ingredients don’t have the same freshness and there just doesn’t appear to be the same quality in anything that they do anymore. It’s almost like someone came in and decided to cut costs everywhere, to their detriment. I wish I could still love this place, but they simply don’t care about their quality the way they used to — at any location.

We’ve eaten pizza here 3 times– in restaurant once and taken out twice– and have been more than satisfied each time. To be honest, this is my fav pizza place in the area so far. Generous toppings, great crust, nice sauce, friendly service, place looks clean, and lots of choices for toppings. NY Pizza tastes like REAL pizza. And I’m *from* New York! **Restaurant isn’t very big, so if you have a large group, keep that in mind.

I ordered lunch for myself to the office and figured, «Why not. How can you f*** up pasta?» I was wrong. I ordered pasta with meatballs. First, the marinara sauce was so watery that it leaked everywhere and the delivery guy even felt bad.(Delivery only took 45 minutes.) Second, the ratio of green bell peppers and onions to actual pasta was 1:1. Not cool for paying $ 11. Third, and most irking, was the fact that the meatballs weren’t even real meatballs. They’re the ones you buy frozen that taste like cardboard and chew like a sponge. I was so disappointed that I couldn’t finish it and tossed it. At least the tiramisu, albeit froze and pre-sliced, was decent. And I paid $ 1.29 for a bottle of KIRKLAND water. Not even Arrowhead!

I usually order from the spot in San Carlos, but when I’m at work in San Mateo– this is the place for somewhat inexpensive pizza for the office. It’s not the greatest but it gets the job done in terms of limited time and hunger. The best thing– ordering a monster sized pizza that feeds an army… or a group of 4 piggy wigglys.

Accessibility(Parking /Wait Time) 1⁄1 Star: easy street parking. No wait to order. Only took 10 minutes to get the hot sandwich I ordered. _____ Service(Waiter /Cleanness /Ambiance) 0⁄1 Star: fast food service. Clean. TV menu is hard to read/see the menu, there is a paper menu at the register that is easier to read. _____ Taste(0=Not Edible /1=Edible /2=Good(average) /3=Must Try!) 3⁄3 Stars: the sandwiches are a Must Try! They use really good pizza ingredients in their sandwiches that makes the difference. I really liked the abundance of mozzarella pizza cheese in my sandwich. The sandwich was big enough to be 2 lunches for me. _____ Overall Experience 4⁄5 Stars _____ Last Words Hot Sandwiches are delicious

I usually order through the Eat24 app (Online food delivery) so it’s usually 45 – 60 min wait and it arrives around that time. Pizza is always pretty tasty and the crust is a hit or miss. But lately, our pizzas that have been arriving tend to come like they’ve been through a hurricane and back. I dunno if the drivers makin deliveries every second so he’s driving like its Need For Speed, but slow down there buddy. we need our pizza in one piece! Lol

Beware! They just charged me 1.25 for packaging fee for a delivered order without any disclosure. After I called and complained the manager on duty said she was following owners instructions. I don’t order from them often, but now I will make I never order from them again. Rip off establishment.
