This experience was an amazing experience that I found by happenstance, but nevertheless, I am glad I found it. This past weekend we had the opportunity to work with Corrine, who was amazing. At the start of the day, we were an hour late due to poor planning on my part, but I made sure to let Corrine know that we were going to be late and she was very understanding. When we arrived, we were greeted by a custom made sign welcoming us and greeted with refreshments. Eager to start, we immediately went to work. Over the course of the 9.5 hours we learned, we talked, we laughed, and even had lunch with her husband and 3 dogs while we meticulously made each other’s rings. This was an experience that I am glad we did. Overall, this was an amazing and once in a lifetime experience. This was a surprise for my fiancé and boy was this a surprise. Corrine was phenomenal. She combined 30 years of experience with understanding and patience that helped us as first-timers perfect our wedding rings that we will wear for the rest of our lives. Thank you Corrine and Vincent who helped make this a memorable day.

Very disappointing experience with customer service rep Vincent Seymour. He responded in 24 hours with a pre-generated email. Afterwards, I emailed him 4 separate emails and got 0 responses over the last 2 weeks. Way to ignore what would’ve been a potential customer. Several months later he finally responded and he STILL didn’t answer the questions and asked questions I already sent him in the original emails. Unbelievable.

We made our rings with Corrine in San Diego/Oceanside. It was the most incredible experience and one of the absolute best things we did for our wedding. She was amazing and walked us through every step — guiding and teaching us, eating breakfast and lunch with us. We loved her workshop and her lovely friendly puppies! She even had stones set after we finished the bands for an incredibly reasonable price. I would highly highly recommend her to anyone!

My fiancée’ Nikki and I recently spent a Saturday with Jay doing the Wedding Ring Experience, and we can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable parts of wedding preparation. The day starts early, and thank goodness we were local. We worked with Jay to determine what we each wanted in terms of metals, designs, size, thickness and width(which were surprisingly difficult to differentiate). Once we had settled on our designs, we began the process. Jay was an incredibly patient and informative teacher. He was able to explain every step of the process, and helped us understand exactly what we were doing along the way. When we made the expected slip ups, he was able to correct the problems very quickly and efficiently, and explain to us how he was able to do it. Even better, the minor mistakes he taught us how to correct ourselves. Jay brings out about 50 menus for lunch, and asks you to pick. We chose the Phở place across the street, which was very good. After lunch we continued the process, and the rings began to take shape. We had each chosen a couple of difficult additions to the rings, which Jay completed while we watched. I wouldn’t have been able to take a free hacksaw blade and cut a 1 mm wide piece of yellow gold in half so each half could be joined to the white gold in the middle. Nor would Nikki have been able to apply the Florentine pattern to my ring. After we finished, it was time for polish. The rings Nikki and I created for one another shined like I have never seen before. Then came the pictures and the champagne(you wouldn’t expect him to give it to you before you started working with torches, presses, and precious metals would you?). I can’t wait to give Nikki something I created for her on our wedding day, and I know she feels the same. I found the price for this once in a lifetime opportunity to be incredibly fair and reasonable, just slightly above that of similar rings in jewelry stores. Jay’s knowledge and expertise were well worth the difference, and the memories will last forever.

My fiancé and I didn’t really find any store-bought rings that appealed to us, so we decided to make them here. We brought pictures and ideas, not really knowing how feasible they were. Jay was fantastic, just the perfect balance of hands on and hands off. He taught us all of what we needed to know and then let us go, keeping a close eye in case we needed extra help. He is also really personable and fun. We had a great time making each other’s rings and they are better than any picture we brought in. We are so happy with them!

Outstanding. Neither my fiancée nor I had ever done anything at all with jewelry(or any metal), but we left with two rings we both adored. My fiancée & I traveled down from Los Angeles for the workshop. Our start time was at 9am, so we decided to drive down the night before. Good call, as we were a bit more rested come 9am. The jeweler helping us was Jay Whaley. Jay was terrific. He has a lot of hands-on experience, but also taught at UCSD for sometime & was a terrific teacher. He explained each step as we went along, and let us be very hands-on. He also checked what we were doing each step away, making sure we had great rings. I highly recommend Jay & this experience to any engaged couple. I’m a guy & I don’t really care for rings & jewelry, but it will be special knowing that the one ring I do wear was made by the love of my life.

This experience has been more special than going to a jewelry store to pick out our wedding rings. Jay was a great teacher and has helped us to create the perfect wedding rings. I cannot recommend this enough for anyone looking to create a piece of memory together. Our rings mean so much more than picking them out from the store.
