I’ve spent the last 10 years going to China and know authentic Chinese food. This is furthest from authentic and even by US standards, is quite poor. I went with 2 Chinese people and 2 Americans and none thought the food was good.

Always great food and great atmosphere. One of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. We usually come here for lunch and have never been disappointed. My wife had the peppered pork and I had the black pepper beef. Both were excellent. My wife is not a fan of the egg drop soup so I usually end up having hers. All in all, I must say we’ll be back.

Food was okay, this was for lunch in celebration of sending the boss man on his next adventure. We all had separate lunches, however for parties they do offer family style. But like one of my coworkwers said quietly, «we’re not that close», I ordered the Ma La Three flavors, this was a chef’s special for $ 13.95. ML3 included the entrée, the fried rice, the cucumber side(chef’s selection of side) and a small piece of cake(very dry with no flavor) In fact, out of 13 people, no one eat the whole square of cake, and it was tiny. The dish itself was okay. The service was not good or bad, I don’t even know how to explain it… the one waitress yelled at two of my coworkers because they wanted a photo and the other waitress kind looked flustered with our questions. Food was okay, décor was okay, atmosphere was okay, I most likely will not come back again.

My wife and I have been going to Chin’s in RB for years and have never had a bad experience. On the contrary, everything is always darn near perfect. The food and service are excellent or we wouldn’t come back. We like the ambiance: tablecloths, soothing lighting(Chinese lanterns), tastefully decorated, that you can relax with a drink from the bar before having dinner and NOTV’s(we go out to have dinner, not watch TV). About the only negative for me is the plum wine is awful. Maybe I just need to acquire a taste.

Love this place! The food is great and the presentation is also very nice. Service is also good and pretty quick. It’s definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants around Rancho Bernardo area. I would recommend anyone to this place.

Recently moved here and my new co workers and doctor I work with recommended this place and it’s very delicious, I didn’t take a picture of the cashew chick which was my favorite… Lunch combo is pretty big and everyone here is pretty friendly!

The aroma as we walked in was heavenly. The cleanliness was a good sign. The Sweet and Sour soup was tasty, tangy, hot and the small bowl was more than two of us could finish. The Plum Tree beef entrée was crispy and dangerously delicious in that we ate too much! The Chicken Lo Mein is pure comfort food. We would order the soup and Plum Tree beef again. The house Chardonnay was not good. Our servers were efficient, friendly and attentive. We will return, but not order so much. The portions were large. The check was $ 44 for all items mentioned.

Horrible service and the food is not that good. Don’t waste your time here. Expect to wait two hours for your food to come. They don’t care if you come back or not as if they don’t need your patronage. And it’s expensive for what you pay for. 3 hour dinner here is definitely not worth it. Should’ve read all the negative reviews

Yuck… Received our food moments after ordering, I’m guessing reheated. I had the chicken fried rice extra spicy, it wasn’t spicy. Had to spit out half the chicken because it was either fatty or gristley. I added an additional star because the lady filling our drinks was nice.

The ambiance was nice and clean, service was fast, food served fast was warm, wasn’t hot but warm. The food wasn’t that good out of the four dishes we had two were ok. Tangerine chicken and the Ku Ting crispy shrimp. We won’t be back, the cashew chicken was the horrible.

My mom and I went in for lunch today and we are appalled at what had happened to us today. We were having a great morning so we decided to come to Chin’s, one of my family’s favorite restaurants to go to. After today, I can no longer say the same thing. The way our waiter treated us today was absolutely atrocious. This man had no manners. We came in at 12:30, expecting lunch because of the time of the day. Our bill was listed that we ordered the dinner special and our waiter asked us if we wanted a combo. We assumed that a combo was a combination plate so we said no thank you. This waiter accused me of being hard of hearing and told me I had poor listening skills which really put me on edge. What made this worse is that he was screaming to my mom and he was incredibly rude. Needless to say, we are never eating here again. If i could give this lousy waiter zero stars I definitely would.

Located on in RB the center where it’s either Sprouts/Henrys/Whole Foods(used to be Ralph’s, can’t remember what it was replaced with). We usually come here during our birthday months, cuz they give yummy fried banana desserts as a free birthday treat. Don’t have them sing to you though, cuz they’ll sound like William Hung! haha… We try to come here for lunch, since they have more affordable lunch specials compared to dinner prices. Food is a tad bit on the salty side but their hot & sour soup is delicious. Wish they had more veggies in each entrée. Rice is included at no extra cost, which is nice since I hate it when Asian restaurants charge for rice. Service is always pretty good & friendly. We like this & the Miramar location. One of the better americanized chinese restaurants in town(better then Yen Chin Garden in PQ).

The service was pretty good. They were very fast which I was very thankful for. The food was average it was nothing too fancy but it was good portion size for lunch prices. The chicken chow mein: soft noodles, nice big pieces of chicken breast without much fat left on the pieces. There was a little carrot and celery thrown in to add some color. The other dish was a mix of chicken, beef and shrimp fried with a sweet glaze and sesame on top. Both dishes were average. The lunch combos came with a cucumber salad with a sweet tangy dressing on top. It was also accompanied by an orange slice and a small pice of chocolate cake. [Side note the cake was horribly dry and almost worse than the cake you find sitting out old at Chinese buffets; I only ate one bit and it took everything not to put it respectfully into a napkin] **Best part of the experience: I left my gold ring on the table and did not recall until after returning to work. When I called to ask they actually told me they found it and returned it to me. I was amazed and completely thankful. Our server Mi found it. I could not have been happier for her honesty and care.

Chins is the perfect place to go if youre craving chinese food. My friends and I tried a few items off of the menu and some of the dishes that stood out was: — The mapo tofu. It was quite delicious and hit the spot. They had, what i felt, a good balance between their sauce and tofu. — The honey walnut shrimp. It was delicious and not overwhelmingly creamy. — The cheesecake. How could cheesecake taste that good at a chinese restaurant? but make my words it was quite delicious. I definately recommend that you guys try this place if youre in the area and if youre craving chinese food :)

from our hot and sour soup to start to the plum wine apéritif dinner is always first rate. I often have the Szechwan garlic shrimp and my dinner companion has sizzling beef. The people are helpful and friendly, attentive without hanging over your back. We usually come here once or twice a month. Food and service are always excellent. We almost always see friends at other tables here as well, everyone’s favorite Chinese meal. Usually costs $ 30 to $ 35 for two, we drink ice tea during the meal.

We come here pretty often. We just love that Curry Beef Dumpling(6 fried dumplings served with sweet sauce and hot mustard) and the dinner portion of the Crispy Tangerine Beef — our favorite dish here. The kids menu is a huge bargain to supplement the one dinner order See photo: $ 7.95 for the chicken noodles, rice, crab/cream cheese wonton, egg roll, orange, dessert. and the complimentary plum wine was a nice finish. see photos.
