The best churros evarrrrr! This is the only place in SD that sells chocolate with your churros. So BAD but soo GOOD!

Really delicious churros with a liberal coating of cinnamon sugar – when they’re freshly fried. I was super disappointed to be handed a bag of old churros that had been sitting around for who knows how long. The old churros were so desiccated and hardened that I almost chipped my teeth on them! Moral of the story is that these churros are heavenly when the customer is clever enough to request a freshly fried batch of them, unlike me. Be sure to get a dipping sauce with your churros, the chocolate one is rich and very sweet, just in case you need some overkill for your tastebuds.

I have been wanting to come here for about 2 years, finally did, I loved it!!! Super delicious, no bad after taste of old oil, and super nice customer service with a guy that was working morning shift in between the week. Will come back definitely!

CHURROS. So fresh, so crunchy, so chewy. and top that off with a coating of cinnamon and sugar and I’m set for life. This stand had a huge line when I got there, but that just made me realize how good it was going to be. Not only do they offer freshly made churros, they also offer extremely low prices. 6 churros for $ 3? 9 churros for $ 4? And then the greatest deal of them all is 20 mini-churros for a mere $ 6. What a steal. They makes these heavenly desserts right in front of you so it’s steaming hot when you take your first bite but it is so worth. I would highly recommend getting the 20 mini-churros since it also comes with your choice of dipping sauce. My friend got a churro sundae, but it was a bit overwhelming with all the cream and ice cream. It was tasty but I definitely prefer just going for the good ol’ churros. Also another tidbit– another friend got some sort of shaved ice drink and it wasn’t that great. So I’d stay away from those. It was basically just ice and sugar.

Churros el Tigre offers one of the best churros i’ve ever put in my mouth before! This kiosk is located in Las Americas and is impossible to miss because you can smell the deliciousness when you get within its stand because they constantly are frying fresh churros! I ordered 6 churros which came to be around $ 3. It was really cool to see them cook the churros fresh right in front of you. When you bite into these delightful creations, you get a super crisp bite, with a nice pillowy chew. Combine that with it being piping hot and you got yourself one of the best churros you can possibly get ever! If you have never gotten a taste of what a real churro is, this place will give you a definition of what a churro should taste like! Give it a try!

This place serves up the best tasting churros I have tasted… when it’s FRESH. When you get the fresh batch, the churros are perfectly cooked and seasoned with cinammon and sugar. They are chrunchy and yet soft in the inside. I have been here a handful of times and for the most part, have had a good experience. Until the last time I went, a few of my churros were old. You can tell they mixed in some fresh with some old churros. I had to throw them away because they were dry and cold. Make sure you ask for a fresh batch when you order and you’ll be happy.

So, I decided that this place deserves my 400th review. Why, because they make me happy! About four hundred percent happier to be exact. This place saves me from having to cross the border just for a REAL churro. Ok, it’s really the long wait to get back across that gets this place a 5⁄5. Simply because they do churros right is where they really rock. What’s that? A churro is a churro? Not at all! This is a churro. They all should be like this: a warm, crunchy, cinnamon and spice, melt in your mouth mess. Churros need nothing else. No filling please. Just stop that. JIB, what are you even doing? Just stop. Pay attention to all the other wanna be churros trying to grow up and be just like this Churro. This churro was well trained by the streets of TJ. This understands what you are looking for and has anticipated your needs. This churro knows stuff.

San Diego eating has become one of my favorite hobbies since my partner in crime is from here. We find ourselves visiting quite often and our latest journey brought us to Churros El Tigre, located at the Las Americas Premium Outlets. This place is so close to the border that you can see Tijuana from across the parking lot. Churros El Tigre is a food stand that offers the amazingly good and cheap Supreme Churros Sundae that we shared. The Single size has 4 churros, a banana, a scoop of ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauces, condensed milk, peanuts, and a cherry all for only $ 5. I’ve never had churros presented this way and it was amazing. If you’re ever in San Diego and want to experience this postre for yourself, head down south, mi amigo. We’ll be back for mas!

I had these catered for my wedding in September. We served them after dinner and had them for 2 hours for 250 people. From the start of booking Louie was very easy to work with. He was very professional and even offered our family(8 of us) free samples before wedding. We had a «Mexican theme» wedding so this was the perfect dessert. Their set up was cute and they where ontime and very helpful. We had unlimited churros for 2 hours and our guests where stuffed, nothing ran out. We offered churros with 4 dipping sauces, Lechera, Cajeta, Chocolate and Strawberry. The guests loved all of them. I think this was the highlight of the night because our guests are still talking about them. All of my kids want to have Louie cater all our future events. When time was up, Louie set up leftovers and sauces on a table for late night snacking. This is a family run business. Louies son was soo sweet. He kept complimenting me on my dress and how unique it was. Would definitely recommend them. This is not the last time we hire him.

I had Churros el Tigre cater our wedding in the beginning of October and they were a hit! The churros were so delicious and the dipping sauces that accompanied them were spectacular. I can’t even begin to tell you all the rav reviews I heard from our wedding guests about the churros. They went perfect with our«Taco Bar» dinner catering and Louie was so easy to work with and very professional and prompt with his responses. The unlimited set-up was perfect for wedding guests to partake in the churro-goodness for two hours — plenty of churros and dipping sauces to go around. I would HIGHLY recommend Churros el Tigre if you want something delicious, fun, and unique for your dessert catering!

yum! one of my favorite guilty pleasures are border churros… i love those greasy bags of churros that you buy from the vendors as you’re waiting to cross the border back into the US. I don’t know what conditions these are cooked in, but to date(knock on wood) I haven’t gotten sick. Low and behold, I can get churros that are just as good(ok better) than border churros and on this side(barely) of the border! Next time i’m craving churros. i’m headed down to Las americas mall and heading straight for this cart…$ 4 gets you 9 good size churros! yum!

This place is awesome … It’s a small stand right at the food court and they sell amazing creations … We’ve had a plate there that had hot cinnamon churros with hot banana & lechera, just for the bottom layer. Then a beautiful scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, peanuts and cherries… Omg HEAVEN !!. Not sure if it was one scoop or two scoops of ice cream … But the combination of hot with cold and sweetness all over … Please please please go and experience this !.. There can’t be a single soul in this world that would not enjoy this …

Authentic Mexican snacks! YESSSS. Everything on their menu is $ 5 and under! You can’t beat that for a mall food court vendor! Things I have tried: Mangoneada $ 5 Im so glad that they offer this because it is very similar to the chamango but with ALOTLESS chamoy and MORE mango fruit ! Which is just the way i like it ! Chamangos are just waaaay too sour for me. Fried Bananas(Large) $ 4 The bananas are deep fried and covered with melted glazed icing. Delicious! I would definitely come here everytime I visit Las Americas. Great food for the price!

OMG. We stumbled upon this little booth in the middle of the Las Americas Outlet. And we saw churros, funnel cake sundae, fried bananas. We ordered them all. They made us wait because they made ‘em fresh! The deep fried dough was crispy, hot and not too greasy. With the perfect amount of strawberry sauce and cold whipped cream, it’s like Jesus is born today, we don’t have to wait for Christmas. The fried bananas reminded us of Central American food, like the fried plantains, only they are not plantains. Oh, the best part is they put condensed milk as a topping to the fried bananas, which was a new and great idea! We were so full and didn’t get to try the churros. Next time! We will probably head down to the border again for more shopping… We were so happy that there’s a mall that sells legit fair food! This is one of the few places that I stumbled upon before Unilocaling on my phone. As a Unilocaler, sometimes I catch myself reading reviews and playing it on the safe side too much. I’m glad I had a good surprise that I can share with my fellow Unilocalers! Oh forgot to mention. Their prices are very reasonable! For $ 5 you got a full portion(for 1 to 2 people) funnel cake sundae(vanilla ice-cream). … We almost skipped dinner that night, but finally decided to stop by for some tofu soup, which will be on my upcoming review…

The BEST churros ever! These aren’t the churros you get at Disneyland or in those carts. These are authentic churros like the ones they make in Mexico. Made fresh, crispy and rolled in sugar! $ 3 for a small order with 6 pieces… what more can you ask for?!
